Shake lifts his hands palm out towards Alten. "This is your show. I'm not a warrior, but just a humble bard. I will defer to you," He says with an expansive smile on his face.

I say we try to go stealthy down the 52 stairs. Ready anything we want to do at the door to 51 and then go.

You stealthily approach with Rees and Shake at the helm. They slink through the shadows of the dungeon and creep right up to the bookshelves without a hitch. The rest of you follow up behind. The hobs don't look up from the pages they are tearing out one by one and throwing into the growing makeshift campfire.

First hob: "Ehh... Boss is actin' weak... he should just confront em'... kick der asses outta here... itz ours anyhowz!"

Second hob: "Hees just bein' tactical is all... and don let em' catch choo talking like that.. you remember whut happened too the last guy dat did dat? Got fed to the tree he did!"

Alten readies his Glaive and prepares to rush forward. He's keeping his eyes on Rees and Shake in the front, waiting for them to go.

Shake looks through a gap in the book shelves into room 51 and readies Minor Illusion before wiggling his nose to cast Dancing Lights. Suddenly lights merge in the 52 stairwell and become the vaguely humanoid shape of Shake, dancing to and fro on the stairs with a torch. Shake continues to focus on his Dancing Lights spell and wiggle his nose, then releases his previously prepared Minor Illusion. Suddenly Shake's voice erupts in song from the stairwell.

"You better think (think). Think about what you were tryin' to do to me. Yeah, think (think-think). You dumb Hobs yeah, I got myself free. Oh freedom (freedom) Oh freedom Oh, freedom (yeah). Freedom!!!"

As Shake concentrates, the vague figure seems to disappear down the stairs as does the voice.

Assuming the hobgoblins are distracted by Shake's illusion, Rees will fire at the closest one from a (hopefully) hidden/sneaky position

Seeing Rees ready her weapon to fire, Talien also readies his crossbow. Attack: 11 Damage: 4

The hobs jump at Shake's illusion and turn to follow it yelling, "Oi Stop!! WHo goes der?" in the process. However, as the arrows miss and fly overhead they pass through the illusion. The hobs look at each other then run towards the bookshelves.
