If you're leaving, that's your call. But people said they needed to rest. I know I'm not fully recovered from yesterdays events yet. If you can get a little more sleep you will be better prepared to face whatever enemy may come, whether that's down there or outside. I know I will be.
I didn't understand half of what you just said. And I probably won't, unless you chose to explain it. Your call. But I would like to understand.
Alten turns away and walks the perimiter of the room, making an obvious show of checking of the barred doors, looking high and low, prodding floor with the butt of the Glaive, etc. He's confident that nothing is there, but he's going thru the motions to show he is trying to be cooperative.
Hmmm... Are you also prodding the walls with your glaive?
<OOC: I said that I was prodding the floor because I just fell into a pit yesterday and that was on my mind. I wasn't trying to do a mechanical investigation/perception for anything, just RPing. If you want/need me to make a roll for something, I will.>

Ah, right. This is interesting though. Please make a perception check with advantage [DC 20]. @Dallirius, I would also like you to make the same check since Arxius is watching Alten so intently.
Alten does not notice anything out of place as he makes his round checking the doors and floor with the butt of his glaive while casting cursory glances at the ceiling and walls as he goes. Everything seems to check out and appears just the same as it did a few hours earlier to the paladin.
When Alten is knocking around with his glaive, Talien looks at him, and says, Did Arxius push you into the last hole? She said she was going too before. If you are wishing to repeat the process, we can remove the goblins if that is what you are looking for...although I do admit it is a stange thing to want...
I do not believe in coincidences, all things in my past experience have seem to be related. If you say she did not push you then I have no reason to distrust you, apparently you are just attracted to holes like a magnet. Talien responds to Alten. Speaking of that past conversation, can you tell me what an innuendo is?
Hmm, not sure whether you will understand this or not. You seem to be a purely literal being.
An innuendo is when you say one thing that can have two different meanings. One meaning is typically innocent and the 2nd meaning has sexual connotations or implications. And before you ask, sexuality is a biological condition between two humanoids that can result in a lot of pleasure for one or both partners.
But now is not the time for this discussion. Once we are clear of this job, perhaps we can pick it up again.

Talien just nods once at Alten and returns to his corner, he draws his sword and holds it in one hand. His eyes return to their silver state. He remains still there like a statue resting.
Talien pulls out his bedroll and lays it down for Rees. I don't have to lay down to sleep. He says, I am only keeping it for a certain purpose, so feel free to use it. I don't need anything to be as your realm seems to say 'comfortable'. Talien had seen how Arxius's bed was wet. He makes a mental note to buy something to soak up wetness and prevent it.
"Thank you, Talien."She takes it without argument, putting it right up against her own so that she'll be close to Arxius.

Grom will take out his silver rope and run it around both doors and cast Alarm and make sure it goes off outloud if triggered..
"Ugh ahh.. what's all the commotion... is everything okay.... (clearly he was sleeping off his injuries from earlier) this should help keep us safe in here for the rest of the night.."
Do the walls appear to be of the same stone that was on the outside if the Citidal?

The walls are made of a roughly hewn dark grey stone (I don't recall specifying a color of the outside, so we'll establish now that they are also grey). Make a perception check for me as well since you're looking at them [DC 20].
The Sunless Citadel, Chapter 4: Inside the Sunless Citadel
3rd of Summertide (early morning), 1495 DR
With the doors both physically and magically secured the party all settled back down for the evening. Alten and Chatra resumed their watch and soon enough handed the duty off to Talien and Grom. The last watch of the night was uneventful and the party awakens in the morning fully rested. (Though you're not exactly sure what time it is when you wake up as you all slept in the entrance to a dungeon).
There are two paths forward for our adventurers. They have a choice to make -- both in the form of a wooden door. One set in the Northwest wall, the other in the Southwest. One path may very well lead to riches, while the other dead. But, which one will they choose?
{Just to clarify, we've got two doors that we don't know what's behind and one door that leads back out to the pit trap and the stairs that take us up & out, and an otherwise empty, round rooom?}

Sorry, just edited above because it made more sense for that post to be the start of the new chapter, but yes that is the exact situation you find yourselves in. Three doors. One in the Eastern wall (which you entered by), one in the Northwestern wall and one in the Southwestern. These two doors are wooden, hinged from the other side, open away from you into the Citadel and have round iron handles. Nobodies actually tried to physically open them yet. And yes, the room is round. It is the shell of a broken tower, so its got debris piles, but other than that it is empty (to your knowledge).

Warforged Fighter Talien
To Talien, chuckling
No. She didn't push me and I have no desire to repeat the process. I managed to fall into that pit thru nothing but my own inattention.
Her comments earlier were a joke, just being funny. It was just a coincidence.
