Matthias turns to Imani, “What are you talking about! We have her right now, without her servant! Why would we let her leave!?”

Allison tilts her head, “Oh, and is that a promise? Because I’m more than willing to allow bygones to be bygones. Berserker’s dead, and I’m at quite the disadvantage here.”

She raises her hand in a snap, “I’ll call my associate off your Lancer, if you let me leave.”

Caster reclaims his staff as Berserker's material form fades. He says nothing aloud.

"You know what, Mat? You're being pretty aggressive for a guy whose chief asset is literally in the hands of his enemy." She shakes her head. "I'm fulfilling my end of our bargain by telling you to stand down. I can put her out of commission for a bit, but that s**t-eating grin on her face tells me her servant is somewhere hidden waiting to put another tree trunk in my chest."

Persuasion (Civic Outreach): 25

“Oh, so you’re the ones that forced me to use a command seal so early into the war. Now that’s good to know,” Allison shrugs, “But yes, I’m afraid that Archer has been plenty busy warding off Saber from interfering in my business.”

Matthias looks to Imani, “You understand the position that we’re giving up here, don’t you? Even if Archer is prepared, we have three servants to her one. If you won’t assist me, then I understand. However, I am more than confident in Lancer’s ability to hold his own.”

Allison is going to hold her turn.

She turns her black gaze on the necromancer, and attempts to force her into sleep.

The eyebite takes hold, however, before that, Allison’s readied action is triggered. She had readied Power Word Kill against whoever took an action against her. As her body falls, she mutters, “Mori...” Imani feels death readily approach, as if her life was about to just be suddenly snuffed out. However, in an instant, it stops. She hears the patter of nine stones clacking across the floor, inscribed in various runes of what one can assume is protection. Matthias Counterspells her spell at 9th level!

Allison’s body then crumples.

Imani, shaken, turns toward Mathias. "THAT," she says, "was AMAZING. Let's mess her up, Matty."

Assassin wastes no time closing the distance and unleashing a few quick strikes. Not to mention she is surrounding 30 ft around herself with sand.

Sarai's Readied shot goes off, too, yes? Here it is, a hair behind the preternaturally swift Assassin. Advantage for target being unconscious, disadvantage for attacking at range versus a prone target, right? So they cancel out?

Pistol shot: 29 to hit, for 11 magical piercing damage

Notes: Pistol now has 1/4 bullets loaded.

As Allison says her Power Word, Sarai swiftly puts a bullet into her chest. Meanwhile, as she crumples to the ground, Assassin flashes forward and slams her umbrella into Allison’s ribs, sending her spinning along the floor. Allison immediately wakes up midair as she coughs intensely. She lands, rolls, and after a moment, struggles to her feet. Her hair is all messed up and she seems severely injured.

At this point, the horrible monstrosity that has a hold of Lancer narrows its eyes, small little pinpricks of red, malignant light. It releases a raspy groan as its body dissolves into liquid shadow, coating Lancer and then merging into the shadows, (Con Save: 24). Lancer takes a fourth of 41 necrotic damage, so 10 damage, but he is no longer grappled by the creature.

The creature itself, however, is nowhere to be seen, having merged with the shadow of the entire cavern.

Matthias, following up on that, takes a 5 foot step back out of her range and traces the rune of a stone before tosses it toward Allison. As it arcs through the air, it begins glowing an intensely vibrant orange glow. It clacks next to Allison’s body before detonating in a corona of flame as Matthias casts fireball at 8th level for 54 fire damage. In the aftermath, Allison’s body is roughly 60 percent incinerated. A flicker of green flame lingers on her hand for a moment before extinguishing with the rest of the flames.

Matthias scoffs, “I was wrong to worry. You were a third-rate mage at best.”

Combat Over! Hurray?

Imani snorts. "Yeah, sure- definitely over. We killed a necromancer, Mat. Have you ever even watched a horror movie?" There's no acid behind the banter though. Mathias saved her life no more than a few seconds ago- she won't forget that. 

"Dream, would it be possible for you to collect the body? I have a feeling I can do a... thing... and keep it from coming back to life to bite us in the ass." She turns to Mathias. "That is unless you want to burn the rest of it?" 

Sarai reloads her gun smoothly, keeping an eye on Matthias (who, ironically, is responsible for it being magic).

 Matthias takes a long look at the body, thinking things over, “Do as you like. Lancer and I will be leaving now.” Lancer lands behind Matthias as the mage drops a rune to the floor. Upon doing so, he looks to Oz, “Next time, Master of the Caster servant, do not expect such friendly terms. And you, Imani, I’ve saved your life once now. Do not expect it again.” In an instant, the floor flashes as both he and Lancer teleport away.

Oscar ignores the man and comes out of the tower to start routing through the belongings of the two bodies, his large, floating rocks following behind him. (23 passive perception and investigation. Here's an active one: 9.)

Dream does not care for the Lancer's master's tone and words, but opts not to strike him with the truce off. She knew his name and face now. It would only be a matter of time.

Quite easily, maybe too easily, she lifts Allison's body up. Once again, Dream seems more childlike with her eyes completely shut. "So tired... What are we going to do with this, sis?"

"Burn it," Sarai says. "Her art was an abomination. Let it never come back."

 Allison’s body is essentially incinerated, lacking really any valuable items. Odd. You’d think she’d be carrying some weapons or something.

However, Redford’s body does indeed hold two things. The first, his switchblade, is currently sheathed. You can make an Arcana check on that. However! You do find his spellbook, which I will privately send to you.

You also once more notice those giant rings embedded in the ceiling. It seems that the top of the amphitheater has some sort of dias, which has a bowl with a hole in the bottom that seems to feed into that rudimentary piping system.

Finally, you actually notice, similar to outside, a door that’s been hidden by the Guards and Wards spell

"I'll take that." Oz picks up the dead man's spellbook and places it in his satchel. "Anyone want his knife? He used it for blood magic, so it might be magical. I can't tell yet." He bends down to remove the knife still in its sheath without actually touching knife itself. He also mentions the rings on the ceiling and the hidden door.
