Laza walks up to each with the paper and pen, having each sign. He also pulls out his dagger and tells each "Just a small prick and print to show us you're dedicated to the Blades." and pricks each halfling's thumb to make a thumb print in blood next to their signature. He then says to each "Welcome to the Blades. You may continue to live and work. Simply remember to bring your 30% to our base each month, or we'll have to return. And none of us here wants that."
"Oh... I would like that... " says Rothnar looking at the halflings still alive. "If you don't mind I would take the pendant to the old woman. I gave her my word." he then looks to the halflings and says " Is there any surprise that are waiting for us in the sewers when we try to retrieve that gold? Any trap you set? "

I gave her my word." he then looks to the halflings and says " Is there any surprise that are waiting for us in the sewers when we try to retrieve that gold? Any trap you set? "
The halflings offer no argument when you say you intend to take the pendant. When you begin talking about the gold, the halfling suspended in the air by Ruhvon looks nervous "No, there's no trap, but there might be some... difficulty. You see, we haven't been able to retrieve the gold ourselves as, when we went back for it, there were... things waiting. It was dark, but they were dangerous and they scared us off. I'm sure that, whatever they are they won't be a match for you though! And you'll make some tidy profit! Or, if you prefer, you could take the 800 instead if you prefer?". He looks hopeful as he ask the final question.
Brayton goes over to one of the halflings. Pointing to their now dead leader. “Did he have family? A wife, children?”
"In our village in Brackwood, Hatton-on-Wick, he had some brothers and sisters, but no wife yet. We came here to make our fortunes and then return as wealthy bachelors. I guess that didn't work out though..." his voice trembles as he turns away from his dead friend.
“You don’t understand” he says “we are not here to make profit for ourselves. You owe our organization 1000 gold. And you are going to deliver 1000 gold.”
He turns to his companions.
”I say that we go to that spot and retrieve the gold. And use them as bait to bring out that things.”
“They never even put up a fight and they’re half dead already. You get them killed down there then the Blades lose out on 30% of all future endeavors by these clowns. Money says, let them go for now.” Brayton says as he sits down next to the tied up Halflings. He motions to them with his Waterskin if they want a drink. “We are professionals here, not barbarians.”
Harpy nods in agreement but is still not overly enthused of going into the sewers but the potential reward offsets this. Leave the Halfings behind and take short rest works for her.
Ruhvon sets the halfling's back down. "Well, if you don't want to end up the same you as your friend I suggest that you rest up for a moment, and then you will show us will where you tried to hide the rest of your gold... What sort of nasties are down there?"
"If this one doesn't make it there will still be three of them to make money for the Blades, so not much to worry about their future worth," he replies to Brayton.
(The halflings can use dice over the short rest as well, so any that go down should be healed to full... mostly.)
“I am not barbarian. Those are good for nothing. Without their leader they aren’t going back to their farms in less than a mo Tb, probably causing more problems back there. This way they would be useful” replies Rothnar “Not barbarian, just practical. But donas you want with them.” He srughs and keep an eye open while the rest of the party take a breath.

"It was dark, so we couldn't see very well. The walls and floor were all sticky and we had to fight to get free. I heard some scuttling, like there were many, many legs. If I had to guess, I'd say it was a giant insect or spider." He gulps. "I really don't want to go back, but I can see I don't have much choice..."
If I've read your intentions right, you're leaving three of them here and taking one of them with you? If so, you descend into the sewer. The stench is as bad as before and the water is still running fiercely. The lone halfling leads you down a side tunnel off the sewer under Hangman's Lane. It' smaller and more cramped in here and feels warm and humid. After about a minute, the halfling stops. Intermittent wisps of white webbing are on the walls, floor and ceiling. The halfling swallows nervously "It opens up to a chamber just up ahead, we hid the gold in a crack in the wall on the far side."
Have you guys kept the halfling's hands tied? does he have a weapon?
Keeping his torch lit to illuminate the path, axe in the other hand. As Brayton walks by he uses the torch to burn off any webbing that gets in the way, before progressing through.
“No need for all of us to go all the way in, anyone that can attack at range, keeps your distance and let loose at anything you see coming at us. I’ll go in, anyone else?”

Brayton leads the group as you inch forward. The webbing gets more dense, but you're able to keep moving. Every now and again small packages wrapped in webbing hang from the walls. They're about the shape of the rats Ruhvon, Erik and Brayton encountered earlier. In a short distance, the tunnel opens up into a large circular room, about 40ft in diameter and 10ft high. It appears that there was once some equipment in the centre of the room, but a combination of rust and webbing seems to have left it inoperable. "This is the place... it's just over there." The Halflings points to the opposite side of the room.
You begin edging carefully into the room.
