Shishakli is pretty unphased by this. The underdark is a rough place for those not accustomed to it, and those not able to support themselves find it even tougher, though he's seen it all before in his travels. He's already slightly ahead of the group, quickly glancing around, though mostly working on his crossbow to get the aim true while he waits for the team.
Once the group packs up to get on the move again, Cyndral stops near Ront, making eye contact and using the spores between them all to bridge the language gap between them.
"If you wish to be rid of us- and Eldeth- this is your opportunity. There is a woman and two young children along that rear passage. They are armed, angry, and mourning, but alone. They will certainly die a horrible and drawn out death without you. With you, if you escape Ilvara's notice, you have a chance. Whether you leave is up to you, but know this. If you maintain your allegiance to us now but strike out at any of our own again, you won't receive a mercy such as last time. Make your choice, Ront. You are a powerful ally and if you have indeed decided to let go of your grudge, I welcome you amongst us. If not, I wish you well, and pray the Drow follow us instead of you, for I very much doubt what remains of your life will be enjoyable if she finds you."
Knowing that his words would broadcast to the minds of the entire party, Cyndral makes no mention of the conflict amongst their own over the woman, not wishing to further strain the existing fractures, or create new ones.
Ront stops and weighs up his options, looking down at his torn up thigh muscles where Gnarls’ blades had entered and then looks towards where the bandit woman currently is. Stick with the larger group and play nice with Eldeth or look after some defenceless woman and hope that nobody sees them “Ront will stay with you and keep away from the dwarf” You see a completely different side to him. It’s almost as though he lost his ego the moment he was taken down by the small halfling.
Once everyone is regrouped and ready, you all begin to head out once more, with Shishakli leading the way for the beginning of the journey before everyone catches up and you each go back to your previous positions for the days travel with multiple thoughts going through your heads, at times you have to really concentrate to make sure that none of these thoughts are sent out using Stools spores. The passages in this section of Underdark are still narrow and the walls are still slightly damp, the passage open up into larger sections occasionally, more than likely due to freeze thawing at some point, however, some look more man made. The mysterious dim light of the Underdark lights up quite a bit of your journey but there are times when you once again find yourself in the pitch black darkness. After pressing on for a few hours you each begin to feel slightly more tired but push that little bit more to make up the time that you lost today. (Think about your nighttime duties, who’s looking out for the next camp?)

”Mystra you gave me my sight, now aid me in seeing the magic of the world, your world.”
During the latter stages of the day's mark, Cyndral makes a change in his stride, moving to fall in step with El. He's careful to keep his posture loose, his hands far from both his weapons and his spell components, and announces his presence with a small tap on the shoulder. In a quiet tone, he manages to ask them, "When we break for the night, I'll take the first watch again. I'd appreciate it if you would join me, I feel our disagreement today bears discussion. This is not a challenge of your views or a threat, but we do need to have words."
He manages a weak but encouraging smile at this last bit before falling back towards the rear of the pack once more, watching their back and flanks with Sarith as he had done the day before.
A small smile returns to El's face seeing Ront's apparent humility and proud of the orc, though still concerned about the safety of the bandit woman. Had Ront gone with her she may have had a better chance but as is was they had sacrificed a lot of resources to aid her journey and the group couldn't afford to lose one of their fighters aswell.
Despite most of the group having various thoughts drift through the spores, El mind is mostly absent, thinking instead of elsewhere and another time. What does slip into the telepathic link are words and sounds from their memories that seep out on occasion. A kind motherly voice, a harsh tone followed by a loud whip and crack, people yelling over the sound of a busy street or market, a crowd jeering and footsteps but with no visual reference some of the disembodied sounds are hard to identify.
When Cyndral approaches El they don't react at first, but also don't attempt to stop him or ignore him. They had grown to respect the half-elf and whatever their difference in belief their upbringings had brought, El wasn't going to let them change everything they thought about Cyndral. They nod at his suggestion to take watch and talk, unhappy with how the day had gone and not about to let one disagreement tear apart the group. If it did none of them would survive, "Except maybe Shishakli" El thinks, accidentally speaking it with the spores.
(El will take the first lookout shift with Cyndral 19 or use the help if there isn't much light)
Hearing those two agree to take the first watch, Shishakli spends a short amount of time attempting to sketch more on his maps, and lays down against the rock wall to sleep just as he hears El think his name. Pretending to not notice he thinks to the group "Wake me for last watch. I like to be up early to prepare for the road ahead."
Verim remains quiet and keeps looking around for any signs of magical energy that could harm or aid the group. At this part of their journey, the only magical energy that he picks up on are the lit up sections of the caverns, his own sword, Tobias’ mace and the small orb that remains on his mind.
After Cyndral has had his moment of brief words with El and returns near to Sarith, the Drow turns to him “A few of us have been talking” he nods over in the direction of Eldeth, Buppido and JimJar “I think it sounds like your decision would have brought her much more mercy. Some of the others agree, others don’t. Those that know the Underdark know that it is a hard place to handle by yourself”
As El is in their own world of thoughts, Eldeth looks over and gives them a faint smile, a way of checking if their Ok but to also show her appreciation.
JimJar replies to Shishakli “I’d like to assist in the second watch. Speaking of... Where are we staying tonight?”

Listening to those talk of mercy Shishakli thinks to himself, though perhaps just 'loud' enough for others to note it "Mercy is not for us to decide down here. Those who survive do so on their own will and grit alone. Those who don't were unable. Gwaeron will let their tracks fade." and then responding to JimJar he says "Keep close. I'm keeping my eyes open for a suitable spot. But stay quiet if you'll be with me."

Gnarls, not knowing what else to say, spends his time foraging (8) where he can, worried about their food and water supply.
Post finding a camp, Gnarls finds Shishakli and agrees to keep last watch with him, hoping to get to know more about them and the underdark. When they wake up for last watch, he turns to the gnome and says:
"Shishakli, What are our chances of survival down here? I am used to this type of 'journey' and struggle, but I fear our companions are not and do not appreciate the severity of our circumstances."
"Survival?" Shishakli responds "Staying alive shouldn't be a problem once we get away from the drow. Though to you topsiders the Underdark may be inhospitable and desolate, there is as much life down here as above. It just takes a different shape." and reaches to the cave wall where there is some moss growing, and adds "Everywhere there is life which can be utilized by those who know how."
Cyndral nods at Sarith's words, and then says aloud, hoping it will also catch Shiskakli's ear, "I expected this to be the case, this is the life we down here have come to expect. But as one who has walked both the surface and the dark, let me remind you that our friends who grew up in the sun, this is not the way they are used to. Isolation is not a death sentence up there, indeed, for some it is a pastime. They can afford to contemplate mercy that isn't delivered at the end of a sword. We could benefit from that sort of kindness down here, but at more opportune ventures. For now, it is our responsibility to help them adjust to our wretched world, but to try not to snuff out the spark of hope they bring, for it's light could do wonders down here."
El's hair seems to have lost it's sheen, the light no longer reflecting the various colours it had before. Likewise their eyes have changed, going from dark but colourful nebulas to a dull blue and their otherwise eccentric features seem to have dulled.
OoC: Just continuing from the last paragraph, gonna wait until we hear what the camp is actually like before I post anything more
As Gnarls walks along, he continues to pick up a few mushrooms but discards a majority of them that don’t look too great, keeping just a couple. He manages to find a small source of water that everyone manages to refill their water skins with.
Quickly and silently, JimJar and Shishakli both head forwards together, you all watch as the two deep gnomes walk forwards a bit, stop and somehow manage to blend in to their surroundings before moving again, their grey skin blending in with the rock walls perfectly.
As Shishakli moves even further away from the group, he spots a small opening in the side of one of the passageways, it’s easy for him to slip through but it might be a bit of a struggle for Drendil, Tobias and Ront, though they should just about manage. Inside the opening is a small 15ft ladder that leads up onto a small ledge that has 2 small caves on either side, one to the left and one to the right, each small cave is about 30ft X 30ft. There’s no light in the caves but the passageway below is dimly lit. After advising the group that this should be a good place to stay, Shishakli makes his way up the small ladder and leans against a wall in the left hand cave.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Verim puts his shield on his back and climbs the ladder to join Shishakli. Verim uses his shield as a light source to help those without darkvision up the ladder, once everyone is up Verim will retire to the cave on the right. Verim will kneel and pray to Mystra, unroll his bedroll and sit with his legs crossed in a meditation manner. Verim will spend some time with his new found orb, staring closer, feeling it in his hands, putting it close to his ear, even tasting it to figure out what magical properties this orb may have.
As Verim rests his hands on the orb, nothing happens, he tries all sorts, including giving it a quick lick. It tastes strangely salty. He attempts a few different things before running a finger in a circular motion across the top of the orb. 4 blobs of an oily substance appear inside the orb, as Verim watches, they slowly form into 4 numbers that move together. 2139.
El takes two candles from their pack and places on in each cave, "These should provide some light but try to save them as much as possible, I only have 3 left." They set their pack down against the wall in the lefthand cave and head back out to sit on the ledge near the ladder (I assume that's where they'll be taking the watch from).
As they wait for Cyndral to join them, El swings their feet over the side of the ledge and listens to the sound of the others settling in. With a deep breath they attempt to let go of their anger and make peace with the events of the day. With each breath they take they feel a little better and some of the colours return to their eyes, though the sparkle remains absent. As they sit they begin to sing:
Imprisoned in, the Underdark These travellers each, awoke unarmed
Plans were made, from jail to break A stone, a rope, a single blade
The trick worked true, the guards came through A trap was sprung, a battle ensued
Swift and quick, they were dispatched For will and wit, they were no match
They barely stopped, to form a plan Ahead they marched, to freedom
Foes fell, as chaos reigned They fought through, their daring escape
They made it to, the Dark’s embrace A path unknown, to bravely face
Tobias looks curiously at the ladder as he climbs up. He approaches the two deep gnomes - Shishakli and JimJar. "Someone put this ladder way out in the middle of no where? We sure this place doesn't belong to someone?"
After getting an answer, the cleric removes one of the scimitars from his back and examines it. "Are we in need if some sort of tools? I can make this into something more useful," he announces to the group.
El’s candles burn slowly within the caves, shedding a small amount of light in each. The song that has been in their head for a few days now has finally come together, there is some great satisfaction in getting all of the words to work. As they sit waiting for Cyndral, they feel the purple book digging into their side.
As Tobias mentions his concerns, JimJar gets down, almost on all fours and starts rubbing parts of the dirt floor “These tracks aren’t fresh at all. I’d bet 3 gold that nobody’s coming back here”
