As my to go pack is always ready to move at any moment / i wake don my gear / run out of my dorm to the nearest teammate to gather / "did you have the same vision"
For Simplification purposes; I am going to say that you all find each other in the corridor of your dorm rooms. (You are all located on the same level)
As you all find each other, you can hear glass shattering. Is it glassware breaking in the commotion and chaos? Or are the skeletons invading the dorm halls through the windows?
As you regain your senses, you hear feel a tremor in the ground. You look outside your windows... You see skeletons attacking the school almost too many to count. Suddenly you hear bells sounding through out the school. A voice comes through the PA system.
"We are being attacked, all staff prepare to defend the students."
For the moment you are safe in your dorm rooms.. What do you do!?
Cassandra immediately reacts by locking her dorm room door and blocks it by pushing her bed up against the door. Then proceeds to smash her dorm room window and uses a couple of heavy towels to clean away the sharp broken bits left behind around the frame. After grabbing her pack with her gear inside she climbs out the window and takes to the air, flying up over the dorm building and campus to get a view of what exactly is going on outside.
Cassandra, when you reach the appropriate altitude in order to get a decent birds eye view, you see chaos unfolding.
Perception Check - to see how much information you can gather while performing your reconnaissance! I will give advantage for the advantageous perspective you have of the campus grounds.
Tellier runs up, shirt askew beneath leather armor and sword belt hastily being put on, "What the hell? What are we supposed to do against that?"
As he finishes fixing his clothes, he taps his armor once and casts Light on it before starting to head towards the sound of glass breaking.
Tellier, you cast light right on the knick of time. No sooner than when you tap your armor, the lights flicker and go out. Luckily it is a full moon out but the light emitting from your armor allows for much clearer vision.
Tellier reach his hand out to turn the door handle of a dorm room door where the sound of glass came from with Asher close behind. As soon as you lay your hand on the door handle, a blade comes cracking through the door. The door is still standing as whatever is on the other side is attempting to hack away at it.
Tellier stumbles back from the door as the blade breaks through, "T-t-th-that was close! Looks l-l-like we'll be fighting."
As Tellier stutters, Asher feels inspired (Bardic Inspiration for 10 minutes, 1d6). Tellier then pulls out his rapier and readies an attack if a skeleton breaks down the door.
Tellier stumbles back from the door as the blade breaks through, "T-t-th-that was close! Looks l-l-like we'll be fighting."
As Tellier stutters, Asher feels inspired (Bardic Inspiration for 10 minutes, 1d6). Tellier then pulls out his rapier and readies an attack if a skeleton breaks down the door.
A second strike against the door causes it to buckle, the third strike however... Sends the door flying in splinters to either side of both of you. In front of you, you see two skeletons. One has three rotting arrows sticking out of its back. They both have scarps of armor hanging off their shoulder, armed with short swords they turn their attention to the two students, the Dragonborn and Yuan-ti.

Cassie works her way upward, higher and higher, seeking to gain enough altitude for a better view below. For all the chaos going on beneath her, she revels in the sheer pleasure of flying, one of the few pleasures afforded her since being exiled to this school by her parents.
Once high enough she begins to circle the campus trying to figure out what hell is going on down there. Perception15

You reach an altitude that offers a great vantage point. You see that the skeletons have breached the school through three openings in the protective barrier along the perimeter. You know that there are a series of pillars that upheld this protective barrier and three have been rendered inactive.

You also see Janus fighting at the front entrance to dormitories greatsword in hand, finishing off a single skeleton in a blue blur from his glowing tattoos. There are 6 skeletons approaching his position but are still a good distance away. He retreats into the building. You can hear that something has just bashed destroyed a door within the the same floor where you and your classmates reside in.
Asher, state your action, so that I can try to resolve all actions at once. If circumstances change I will give the opportunity to change that action per initiative order.

Cassie flies in the direction of Janus' position where the six skeletons are heading that caused him to retreat inside. Swooping lower as she gets closer to the skeletons but always looking to maintain an altitude between 100' to 120' above them, circling round and round above them she will attack the skeletons, targeting the one in the lead but will settle for any one of them using Fire Bolt5to hit6damage if hit, firing when she comes into spell range above them, then seek to circle back and do it again. Keeping this attack tactic up as long as they remain out in the open where she can target them.

A beam of crackling energy, shoots out and strikes the skeleton in the torso removing, the left set of ribs along with the left arm. He is still armed but looks much less frightening!!
OOC: Would have been nice to know with 15 Perception Roll while scoping things out how they were armed (with bows) but ok everyone loves last minute surprises so it is what it is.
