As he checks the mechanism of his light crossbow Vhon smiles "Well this is better than it could have been, we have some food, our gear seems intact and an amount of the cargo will hopefully at least get us some spending money, even if we won't be able to buy another ship." Tapping his foot along to the song Gilly is playing the Captain seems largely untroubled by the calamitous events that have befallen them." Good stuff Gilly, carry on, please. We need to get ready to move on for sure, between us we can carry all the silk that survived the wreck." Looking towards the mainland he continues "I didn't go very far earlier, I'm sure we'll see signs of life soon enough if we strike inland. If we are where we think we are I'm sure we'll be fine, we can hunt for food if necessary anyway. Let's make sure we get some water from that stream in our flasks and we can follow it along back into the island, chances are something lives nearby a source of water."

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
Leaving the Beach and Travelling South - Days 7 & 8, First Ten-day, Month of Tsarkah (Claw of Storms)
It is after lunch, two bells in the afternoon watch (1.00 pm) by the time the crew have packed up camp, picked up the bales of silk (currently carried by Zin, Vhon, Zeph & Gilly) and led by Floki make their way up a draw from the beach to the dunes. When they reach the dunes, Zeph has a look up and down the beach and says “Cap’n, if I remember right, there is a town called Llandrain somewhere to the south of here.” He looks around at what their carrying and says “it’ll probably take us a day or so to walk there.” Not having a better option, Vhon Cedark replies “let’s go then!”The party then sets off following the coastline to the south with Floki on point, followed by Vhon, Zeph, Gilly with Zin bringing up the rear.
The beach that they washed up on stretches a long way to the south and after about 10 miles of slogging through sand dunes they reach the end of the beach and find themselves now traversing a cliff line. It is getting close to two bells in the first dogwatch (5.00 pm) when they round a small outcrop and find a grassy dell with a small stream making its way through it. As it will be sunset in about 90 minutes, Vhon says “let’s set up camp here.”
After a peaceful but cold night - the temperature drops to 40 degrees - the crew starts moving at dawn about three bells in the Morning Watch (05:30 am) and continues plodding south. The wind has picked up from yesterday (gusting up to 25 mph) and whilst a cold wind it blows the party back against the cliffs rather than off them. After a few more hours following the cliffs, looking at the various sea stacks – outcrops of sandstone – and crossing small beaches they hear a melodious singing.
Everybody make a Wisdom Saving throw (DC 11) – Vhon & Zin have advantage. (If you fail you feel an irresistible compulsion to move closer and see what has such a lovely voice)
"Hey... You hear that wonderful sound?" The Tabaxi will say as he lays the silk down next to his feet. "What kind of beautiful creature could sing such a tune" Zeph would say with large smile on his face as the wind whips his hair around on his face and arms.
Especially with Zeph moving toward the sound, Gilly wouldn't fight the compulsion to investigate the singing. I'll roll just to see, though, if it's by his own choosing.
Zin is pleased to see that instead of following the river inland they follow the coast south. As they make their way into the second day passing outcrops of sandstone and crossing small beaches he hears a melodious singing.
Stopping in his tracks Zin turns his head to the beautiful sound. He feels a compulsion within himself to follow that singing, to see where it comes from. He lays the burden of silk down and moves in the direction of the sound.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Wisdom save 16
"Lads, pull yourselves together, seriously, get a grip!" walking up to the closest of the group, not Gilly, he will slap them soundly across the face "Wakey, wakey!"
As the melodious singing continues, Zepher puts down his bale of silk and with a large smile on his face asks the others "hey... You hear that wonderful sound? What kind of beautiful creature could sing such a tune" Zeph would say as he pushes his way past the others and starts jogging (Dash) to reach square D10 (nb as it is a steep climb out of the beach up a narrow path, movement is doubled). At the end of his turn Zephyr can attempt to make a second save (DC 11-Wis)
The melodious singing continues.
Zin also feels a compulsion within himself to follow that singing, to see where it comes from. He too lays the burden of silk down and moves as quickly as he can (Dash) in the direction of the sound reaching D9 but actually lower down the hill than Zeph in E10 At the end of his turn Zin can attempt to make a second save (DC 11-Wis) with advantage.
Trying to get a good line of sight on the source of the singing Vhon moves up to the east scrambling up the rocks (E10) Readying his crossbow as he goes, taking a moment to steady his aim he launches a bolt at the closer of the two creatures.
Attack 14 (-2 included) for 12
"Gilly, stop the boys getting closer if you can!"

Zeph will continue to move quickly towards the music with a large Grin on his face.
21 is wis save
Suddenly as he gets closer to the sound of the singing, the tabaxi will snap out of the trance, shaking his head and yelling to the others "Something is not right..."
"Aye, Cap'n!" Gilly responds. He looks at the situation and does the first thing that comes to mind: With a complicated hand gesture, a fairly large bit of water rises out of the sea, soars through the air, and drops on Floki.
Vhon Cedark reaches a point where he can see the creatures and readying his crossbow, he takes a moment to steady his aim, adjust for the strong wind, he gently squeezes the trigger. The crossbow bolt flies trues and embeds itself deep into the creature’s shoulder where the wing joins its body. There is a screech of pain and the creatures says to the other“hey Juicy Thigh, one of what we thought was going to be easy dinner just shot me!”
Suddenly over 300 lbs of water is dropped on Floki by Gilly (DC15 - strength to avoid being knocked prone [14]), knocking him off his feet. Despite now hitting his head on a large rock and being thoroughly drenched it is not sufficient to stop Floki from scrambling back to his feet and and continuing to move up the hill as fast as he can pushing past both both Zeph and Zin and to eventually reach D11.
Both Zeph and Zin have snapped out of the trance or whatever it was. Zeph yells out "something is not right..." as he ....
As he quickly moves towards the edge of the water. (I8) Spotting the two creatures, the tabaxi will quickly draw his crossbow and launch a bolt towards the creature at F5. "I knew it! Kill'em quick!" Zeph will shout.
Zeph scrambles up the hill as quickly as he can pushing past Floki to reach E10 where he shouts "I knew it! Kill'em quick!" and successfully allowing for the wind sends a crossbow bolt speeding towards the same creature that Vhon Cedark hit where it embeds itself in her thigh. Despite the two crossbow bolts embedded in her the creature keeps singing.
Seeing her compatriot hit with two crossbow bolts, the other creature yells out "keep singing, keep singing Rib" and then she too launches into song in a beautiful counterpoint that ascends into the higher octaves when Rib's singing descends into the lower octaves and then descends when Rib's singing ascends. Gilly and Zeph you need to make a DC 11 Wisdom save, Vhon Cedark and Zin you also need to make the same save but you have advantage. Floki you do not need to make a save at this point.
Zin and Von Cedark you're up in that order.
