The tabaxi will examine the stone in his hand and flip through the pages of the book, looking to see if the stone looks like anything in the book... or to see if he can tell what they are.
I think Zeph is referring to the book on the table. As he flicks through it he realises it is extremely turgid. He cannot however find a picture of the stone that he is holding in his hand in his quick flick through the book.
"Hey look another book." Zin says as he reaches in and takes the book out and looks at the cover.
The book is a leather bound tome of over 100 pages. It is entitled 'My collection of Arcane Knowledge' by Alif ibn Jamal

"Hey Zeph, here's another book you might be interested in. A collection of arcane knowledge. I'll stick it in the bag for now and you can look at it later. We should keep moving if we are done in this room. "
(OOC: Yeah, I was having zeph look through the book about the philosophers stone while holding the stone he was given)
"OK, good idea grabbing that book as well! I don't know what this stone is but I wasn't able to find anything about it in book about stones I have here... I will have to look it over more later." He would say with a nod before sliding the book and stone into his pack. He would then draw a dagger and prepare to explore the rest of the place.
(is there a map showing what we have explored and doors leading to areas we have not explored yet?)
(OOC: Holy crap, thanks for the map. A lot more left to explore down here than I thought. Let me know if any of these doors are supposed to be hidden or anything, I don't wanna cheat.)
Zeph would move back into the room with all the lockers, immediately looking to his right and opening door as his tail sways cautiously behind him.
"Let's head back to the door Floki was looking at, it looks like we've finished here,m for now at least. Careful with that bag Zin, it's probably worth more than all the things you've just put in it." Vhon starts to head back the way theyve come until he is by the door Floki found and has his crossbow trained on it while he waits for another of the group to open it.

"Sounds like a good plan captain. I will take the lead, just incase who-ever i saw, is still waiting over there." Floki says as he takes the lead back to the doorway he was investigating before the fight.
Floki flings open the door which had closed slightly and was obviously designed to be concealed. The passageway behind the door contains a set of stair leading downwards and is lit by torches.
Did you end up prising the various footlockers open or is that for another time?

"excellent work, this job is getting better by the minute. We know there is someone else about, we've given them time to prepare for us coming so let's be on our guards at all times. No charging off, stick together watch out for each other and assume the worst of people that's what I reckon. If these smugglers don't attack on sight il be amazed, let's not give them the chance if we can help it, alright then Floki are you leading us ahead?" Vhon stands ready to move ahead after the northman takes the lead on the stairs down.

Floki, closely followed by Zinleth, then Vhon, then Gilly with Zeph bringing up the rear make their way carefully down the steps. The footing is very slippery and they are grateful for whomever laid the rush matting.
As Floki reaches the landing at the base of the stairs and looks to the east he can that it is a huge chamber, approx 20' E-W & 30' N-S that was obviously formed at some time in the past by the actions of the sea. Against the far wall (eastern) he can see a figure chained against it. It seems to be nodding with its head towards the passageway that Floki can see heads off to the west.
For ZInleth and Vhon only
You recognise the figure to be a Triton a fabled aquatic race that you may or may not have come across before. Zinleth it is highly likely that you would of, Vhon I am not so sure.

Vhon moves in the direction indicated, after signalling a wave of greeting to the Triton, saying to Gilly and Zeph who are just behind him "Stay sharp, I suppose it could be a trap, seems like either way there could be danger behind the door." then to Floki he beckons him over whispering "Get him loose and keep an eye on him. He might not be what he seems but I don't want him left tied up."

"Aye, cap'n," Gilly says quietly, readying his crossbow for any dangers. Then, almost as an afterthought, he adds, "Keep your eyes sharp and your muscles tense." His words are laced with magic, and Vhon feels inspired.
(For 10 minutes, Vhon can add 1d6 to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be added after seeing the roll, but before knowing the outcome.)
