Gom slows his ascent and defers to Sybella, convinced her method was likely superior to Gom just blundering into a nasty surprise. -A second nasty surprise, actually, given how well the weasel fiasco had unfolded.
Gom and Sybella begin to look around and see two snake slithering near the well as they approach the house - the ground seems undisturbed and the house is old and rickety on the outside. The two can tell that door is not booby trapped but does look like it is falling off it's hinges.
As his companions are turning their attention to the house, Del morosely checks the vitals on the unconscious weasels, before placing them gently back in their burrow. Over the dead beast, the somewhat ashamed genasi mutters,'
"From the Elements we come and to the Elements we must return. Peace to your Spirit on its journey, fur-brother."
Del then proceeds to quickly and efficiently skin, gut and quarter the dead animal, keeping all the meat for food and also the teeth, claws and hide. Only then rejoining the others, the young naturalist notes the snakes, creatures that he is far more familiar with than the ferocious fur-beasts. As he waits for his new allies to gain them entrance to the ruined manor, Del studies the serpents, trying to determine their species and attributes.

Taking some of the teeth and claws if he’s allowed, Jake gets lost thinking of how to use these in his tinctures.
"My thanks, Jake. My blunders caused this needless and untimely death. I would not add wasteful to that list of mistakes if possible. You are very skilled at dressing game. Are you a hunter?"
It is clear from Del's voice that he does not view hunting favourably. Seeing his fellow genasi's interest in the claws and teeth, Del hands then all over, keeping only the uncured hide and meat for himself.

Gom stows his morningstar to free a hand with which to open the front door. Anticipating he may need to catch the door if the hinges give way, he carefully opens the door to survey the first room with his darkvision.
“Not a hunter no. Bodies are kind of my specialty. And I do have to eat, so some of my patients trade animals they’ve killed for payment for my services.” After putting the claws and teeth away, Jake follows the group up to the house where he hears about searching for traps. Stopping to prevent walking into one, he waits for one of the others to search if they can do so.

Del nods his head in appreciation for the physician's practical outlook and approach to the natural world, thinking how lucky he had been to meet Jake and how much he might learn from the older healer. Also uncertain about how best to infiltrate a slaver den, the genasi is still determined to destroy the flesh peddlers and curious about the chance to encounter a spirit, so waits beside Jake, still staring back at the serpents in the garden.

Del places the weasels back into their hole and begins to cut into the skin, black liquid and congealed blood oozing from the creature. As Jake comes over and notices this the instinctual feeling that the meat is poisoned and bad comes to him. They finish carving the creature of claws, teeth, fur, and bad meat.
As the two skin and collect what they can off the weasel Gom and Seliane begin to focus on the door. After a quick inspection Selinae feels confident that it isn’t trapped and Gom opens the door to see a dilapidated and damp mess. The walls are patched with mold and the wood seems to be rotting. Cobwebs line the ceiling and corners and the floor is riddled with trash. As he inspects a piece of plaster falls off the ceiling pulling his attention to the other pieces of plaster and the holes in the ceiling. From what he can see the party shouldn’t have to much trouble moving through the house.
From where stands he can see two hallways to go down – one to the left and another to the right. In front of him from where he stand can see the back of a staircase.

Selinae moved forward to the corner of the lefthand passageway, quietly, and inclined her head slightly to peer down the corridor keeping her ears open for any sounds from inside the house.
Gom redraws his morningstar and slowly approaches where Selinae stands. Thinking back to his experience in the tavern, Gom tries to place his feet on the sturdiest looking sections of floor. He is dismayed by the pervasive dampness, as that will hinder burning the whole structure down should it come to that.
Del moves to the middle of the room, peering down the corridor ahead while his allies examine the left side passage and stairs on the right. The genasi noticing the passage behind the stairs, also looks down that corridor.

If he thinks they are sturdy enough, he will first tell everyone he's going up, then he will walk up the stairs, with his hands on the wall/guard rail for safety
As Selinae and Del move into the house they notice that there seems to be a set of humanoid tracks leading from the entryway down the corridor right in from of them. The second set leads down the corridor that Selniae began to walk towards to peer around. As she looks down the hall she sees three doors that appear to still be holding strong onto their hinges in the mess of rotting wood and falling ceilings. Gom following behind her will be able to see the doors as well.
As Del begins to inspect thehouse he can tell that in the corridor to the left there appears to be three rooms, the corridor in front of them has three rooms and a hallway that leads somewhere to the right. Though the small amount of light coming from there, he suspects it goes outside. Finally the corridor to the left has light coming in from two boarded up windows showing the doors to two rooms. As he inspects the room he notices that the staircase seems to be sturdy enough to hold all of them as they go up.
As Nimb and Mizzula looks at staircase they think it might be able to hold some weight, but neither would know how much weight exactly. Nimb freezes unsure if he should test the stairs or not.
As jake begins to survey the area of the house, he doesn’t seem to detect any undead within the area which is interesting for a supposed haunted house.
