Selinae woke early as she was used to and oiled her leathers, strapped on her knives and pack and made her way downstairs stretching as she did so.
" Beds? I don't know, since I left home I've mainly slept on the floor or deck."
She ran an eye over Sybella, " Someones dressed for business."
" You used to sleep in alleyways? You poor thing...what happened to your parents?"
Selinae pointed out the window towards the ocean when Sybella asked where Del was from, " I've served aboard ship with a few Water Genasi, luckily theres not too many of them about or I'd be out of a job. They don't need to take breath breaks from harvesting."
Selinae loaded up her plate with eggs and fruit, and looked across at Del, " Salty....white flesh....makes sense...as for ghosts? I've never seen one underwater or on land......ghost whales.....I'm not sure if that thought makes me happy or sad?", she smiled wistfully.
After having been on the road for so long, Mizzula was wore out. The inn's mattress wasn't the best, but for him it was enough. When he awoke the next morning he actually had a smile on his face. He rose and performed his morning ablutions and afterwards used the remaining water to wash the clothes he had on the previous day. He hung those out the bedroom window to dry and then dressed in clean clothing and went downstairs.
Walking into the room he spotted several of the folks from the previous night sitting together so after filling his plate with food, he walked over and joined them.
As he sat he heard their conversations about ghosts and animals. "While I've never seen it, I've heard tell of spirit animals. Usually bears or wolves. So I'd say at least some animals hang around after their body is gone."
Thinking Sybella's poke a customary greeting of somekind akin to good morning, Del pokes the elf back with a big smile on his face, as he explains,'
"I'm from a small hamlet in the Azure Sea. Sometimes above it, but mostly below it, as the tides will such things. Don't worry though, you wouldn't have heard of it. It's not half as interesting as this place."
Turning to face the immensely tall Selinae, Del looks up at the woman's face, marvelling at her great height, but also her toned muscles and proportionate torso and limbs. Poking her in the stomach by way of greeting, the young genasi responds,'
"You should try sleeping on a silt bed with fresh kelp covers. It really is so much more refreshing than a Matt's Rest.
Having to breathe air certainly sounds like a hassle. What was your job again? On ships I mean. I've only been on two before and found them fascinating if somewhat uncomfortable things.
Why would the thought of ghost whales make you happy or sad? They just are...or aren't. Wouldn't it be interesting to find out though?"

Selinae accepted the poke with a grin, " I'm a pearl-diver like my mum, though sometime sailor/fisher like my dad."
" I don't know....I like whales, I think I relate to them a fair bit. Its a little melancholy to think of something being gone but continuing on regardless."
Nimb awakes happy as ever, excited to meet his new adventuring companions, he slept quite well, this was his scene, so he was completely used to the not-so-good standard of Inns and Taverns.
He walked downstairs and greeted his new friends with a smile and a wave, grabbing food before sitting down with the rest of the party, ”Good mornin’, did you all sleep well?” Nimb is smiling joyfully, without a care in the world, similar to Sybella’s own happy-go-lucky smile.
Gom's eyes widen to appreciate the feast on offer, and he begins loading a large mound of food on a plate.
In reply to Del's questions:
"Gom bed not having illness. Gom suspect Del bed having defective."
"Gom unaware sea horse having taste with bacon. Gom desire eat swine having sea horse diet."
"Gom say ghost happen rare condition with accident or mistake. Gom say ghost animal less frequent with almost never. Gom find animal lacking psyche with derangement twist. Gom respect animal not haunt with trapped waiting of stupidity."
Noticing Sybella kitted out for death dealing:
"Sybella having preparation of unanticipated difficulty with remedy of harsh foe smiting. Gom give approval Elf ready striking."
To Nimb:
"Gom shed fatigue. Gom satisfaction with breakfast plenty sizing."
Coming in a little later after preparing his own breakfast of simple eggs and bacon with a side of kelp that he can’t help but love, Jason comes in ready to start the journey, if a little grouchier than the bubbly elf.
Del smiles at Selinae, thinking that her family must REALLY like pearls to have spent generations diving for them, saying,'
"Pearls are wonderful things, aren't they? Nature's living gemstones, some call them. But I notice that you don't have any on you. Do you keep them somewhere for safety? Perhaps we should go diving for them one day. I could pretend to surface for air alongside you."
The young genasi likewise goes to poke Nimb, Jason and Gom in greeting. At Gom's words, the naturalist's face first scrunches up in extreme distaste, before relaxing into a look of impressed agreement. Having taken a moment to replay the fascinating orc's words over in his head, Del finally says,'
"The food chain is one of the most natural things in the world, friend Gom. However, people eating pigs who have eaten sea horses? I... I don't ever want to see that.
Animals lacking psyche with derangement twist and who won't haunt with trapped waiting of stupidity, indeed. Well said, friend orc. Can I ask, Gom. Are you... typical for an orc where you come from?"

Sybella blinks as Del pokes her back. Without realizing it, she has managed to confuse the both of them as she now suspects poking to be a proper greeting from folks of the sea. "Wow, I never heard of people living in the sea before! I thought those were tall tales drunk seamen spoke to each other. Next you'll be telling me there really be mermaids out on the water singing men to their dooms."
"Good mornin', Nimb! I hope ya slept well and are ready to sing our praises for the task at hand. I'll not worry about a tentacle monster or ghost with such company with me. 100 gold speaks to me, ya know? You can buy several donkeys with that kinda money!" Sybella giggles. Its clear she has never had that much money in her whole life.
When Gom compliments her, the elf's hue pinks up around the cheeks and throat, "Y-Yes, sir! I'm ready and willing to strike down whatever we find in that old house." She stands at attention and seems to seek the orc's further approval. Somehow she has it in her head that the orc must be a great adventurer already.

After everyone has finished breakfast Jason stands up and looks at the group to see if they’re ready to go. If so, he say, “Follow me to Anders’ house to meet up with him. Let’s see if the old mansion really is haunted.”
"Gom recipe need warrior having ferocity, mixing debonair executive with brutality, icing with international playboy having culture dash. Gom having imitations, with genuine of singularity."
As the group troops out of the Wicker Goat, Gom hurriedly stuffs stray biscuits, muffins, ham, eggs, pancakes, and syrup into every pocket and pouch he has. He then lumbers after the team to catch up and join the rear of the procession, snacking on his bonus provisions as he marches.
(You can buy 12.5 donkeys with 100 gold, wow! Also, Jake*, how did you guys not realize that Jake’s name just changed to Jason for no reason, unless I'm missing something?)
Nimb replies to Sybella with a smile ”It’s always a pleasure to brighten up the mood with my songs” He laughs a bit at her next line about how many donkeys you can buy. He then follows he rest of the group out of the Wicker Goat, waving goodbye to Lankus on his way out.
As you leave the Wicker goat you move through the town coming to a single large bridge that spans the river. Sybella you begin to feel a little sick, though you usually try to avoid the Sharkfin Bridge due to its supernatural effect on elves, this is the quickest way and it passes relatively quickly. Eventually, you all pass another inn that resides in the town. As you look closer you will notice that it is built from the planks and hulls of what appear to be ships, some of the names faintly disappearing.
After walking for about twenty minutes you find yourself outside a large mansion that resembles a white Victorian house roughly three stories tall. The windows look as if they were custom designed for this building. Outside stands dozens of guards who patrol the ground, two stand at the door starring at you as you approach opening the door as if expecting you.
As you walk in you are able to take in the grandeur of this house as it opens to a large hallway. A tall, lean man stands in the hallway his short silver hair complimenting his tan skin, dressed in a butler’s outfit he just smiles bowing“Good morning, Mr. Solmor has been waiting for you all. If you will follow me please.” He says turning and leading you into a study with charter maps and books laying about, Anders is just walking around as if trying to figure something out.
As he looks up a smile coats his face “Ah my friends thank you for coming. I’m glad to see you are all still interested. Can Skerrin get you anything?”
"Could somebody, uh..." Sybella leans against the wall her face turning about as green as some of her newfound friends' skins, "get me some mint or water... Lest I vacate this morning's meal on your polished floors, Mister Anders... urp... Apologies."
