Whether it is by riding on the cart, or trailing behind the others, Belzo is equally mute since the fight; looking more thoughtful than terrified or worried. ".... Here's hoping he at least isn't so keen to test us further this trip. At least in so direct a manner. As interesting an experience as it was being a rat, I do not relish the thought of returning to such a form."He confesses at some point in the journey. Though beyond that, the scholar was content to continue on in silence.

All of you continue on in silence, something that is undisturbed, as there are no encounters during the time it takes you to travel to the Tsolenka Pass.
The shelf of rock on which the mountain road clings grows narrow. To your left, the icy cliffs rise sharply toward dark, rolling clouds. To your right, the ground falls away into a sea of fog. Ahead, through the wind and snow, you see a high wall of black stone lined with spikes and topped by statues of demonic vultures with horned heads. Set in the center of the wall is a closed iron portcullis, behind which burns a curtain of green flame. On the other side of the dark wall, gripping the mountain’s edge, is a guard tower of white stone topped by golden statues of mighty warriors.
"We have almost arrived at the Amber Temple. Stick close to me and do not let your resolve falter. The tools we need to defeat Strahd lie on the other side of this pass."

Doremor lies in the cart for most of the journey, groaning every time the cart hits a bump. As the group approaches the gate, he gets to his feet and pulls out his shortbow, looking around warily, "That sounds like my kind of tool, but that gate and wall of fire look mighty dangerous."
Having said that, he stows his shortbow and moves towards the wall, making sure to stay near the mountain side of the path, and looks for a path up the black stone.
Fae has regained her bounciness and irreverence by the time they arrive at the pass. She seems unfazed by the mighty tower, and grins. "I'm sure it's fiiiine!" She does (somewhat reluctantly) allow Doremor to check the area before barreling in.
"Just as it was fine that Strahd took me out of that fight earlier." Belzo deadpans, having finally been drawn from his thoughts. "Aside from the curtain of flame, are there any other dangers in the path we should worry about? Or whatever passes for guards here being particularly unpleasant?" He asks Kasmir after stepping up closer to the man per the earlier request.

Doremor, you feel like you're pretty well hidden. You also notice that the hill is pretty steep and that you would need magic or climbing tools to go up around the gate.

Doremor reaches into his pack, pulling out pitons, a hammer, and some rope, and begins to scale the wall. Before he begins, he calls back to the group, "Keep an eye out for me."
Once Doremor gets within 10 feet of the portcullis, it opens up on its own, with the horrible shriek of metal against metal. The fires are still burning on, though. He is able to climb up without incident.
Fae rolls her eyes at Belzo. "You were a cute rat, and you came out fine, didn't you?" she points out. "Stop being so grumpy, you're worse than Elyse." She grins at the tiefling.
From his position on the top of the wall, Doremor will look at the guard tower and try to see if he can see any mechanisms or anything that could potentially deactivate the curtain of fire.
There does not appear to be anything that connects the guard tower to the curtain of fire in the portcullis. The fact that the fire is green, might give off the impression that it's not a mundane fire.

Doremor thinks about the multitude of times when he's seen natural green fire and realizes he's daydreaming again. After peering closely at the guard tower, he peeks his head over the edge of the wall and waves to the rest of the group, "Come on up! It doesn't look like I can do anything about the fire!"
Hadrian will try to cast dispel magic on the green fire, creating a divine symbol with his hands and calling on the power of Kelemvor to remove this magic.
"That is not-..." Belzo had stated to say, only to cross his arms at the follow-up point. "Now that's going a bit too far. I much less grumpier than that." He grouses, shooting Fae a narrowed eye look. Looking up to Doremor, Belzo starts to say something, only to look back down at Hadrian's work. "Interesting. I do not think I've had the pleasure of seeing a Kelemvorite at work." As he says that he starts trying to pull out some pen and paper to take notes.

Fae shakes her head. "Nope. Worse. Cause Elyse doesn't complain, she just sulks." She giggles and watches the fire curiously while Hadrian tries to dispel it.
Fae walks quietly, although eventually the serious look fades from her face, and she smiles gently as she walks along the misty road.
