Tallow speaks to the group "We're not getting the full story here. There's stuff and maybe captives below. I don't much care one way or another. Y'all wanna fight a ghost ship or get moving?"
Manfred’s eyes narrow. ‘Do you have prisoners of your own, perhaps? You’re hiding something from us. I suggest telling the truth is your best option here…’

The voice coming from the orb laughs - a natural laugh one might hear from an adult being threatened by a brash child. An adult who finds the threats amusing and is not concerned by it at all. "You are feisty, little one! But I grow tired of your annoyance. Run along now and take your big friends. I have better things to attend to."

Ronkur stands, thumbing the gem on his glove, but not quite triggering his armor to envelope him. If the rest of the crew wanted to try to talk their way through this he'd let them - but he'd also be ready to smash this thing to bits if need be.

Genren looks on curiously "So uh, we're not welcome here... we should move quick. If you want to check below deck, I can do a quick sweep. I think I'm the quickest, but it sounds like we're in for a long ride if we stay here." He grips his weapons in his hand and waits for the party's decision...

(I'll give you his full path with some rolls then you can just stop me if there are any problems or issues he needs to address) Genren rushes down the stairs all the way down to the hold seeing, nothing there he goes up a level to the crew deck checking d19,20,18 in that order before checking 14,15,16,17 and heading up stairs checking 12, 11 and 13 before clearing the cabins starting from 10, then 9 and 8.
So, do you want to open the hatch on the main deck and drop down about 12' to D18? Or take the steps down through D11to D14, then through D18? The hatch is pretty heavy and can only be opened by creatures with a combined Strength score of 18 or more.
Genren takes the steps down into the galleon, passing through a gloomy oar deck (D11) that looks like the belly of a whale, with gargantuan ribs sweeping from the walls to form rowing benches. The deck underfoot is littered with humanoid bones to a depth of 1 foot. Two large, unmanned drums are positioned to the rear of the deck. He continues down into what appears to be the crew's quarters, where hammocks are strung up like cobwebs. He hears singing drifting from one of the cabins at the front of the ship.
(Who else is with Genren? Do you continue with your original plan and head aft, or follow the sounds of singing forward?)

(Solo, aye! Roll initiative, then =)Hammock: 5)
As Genren starts to make his way through the slung hammocks, one of them animates and attacks and tries to roll itself tightly around him! Surprise round for hammock: Attack: 24(If Genren is hit, he is grappled (escape DC 13). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, blinded, and at risk of suffocating!)
(OK... after posting, I remembered your Cloak. So...no advantage for the attack, and the first roll of 7(+5 ) won't do it! =)

Genren discovers that the cramped space is hard to maneuver and fight in! (While squeezing through this space, you must spend 1 extra foot for every foot you move here, and you have disadvantage on attack rolls and Dexterity saving throws. Attack rolls against you have advantage while in the smaller space...although your cloak makes it tough to initially hit you. So, your Disadv attack rolls are: 30 and 20. Your skirmisher move will be 10'.)
The animated hammock follows and makes another attack to grab the elf. Attack: 21

The orb responds no further, and Ronkur would have to investigate the hull, either inside or outside, to determine any weak points...

Manfred nods to Genren, ‘Do a quick sweep for prisoners, don’t steal anything, shout if you run into trouble…’
(Let me know your planned path)
