The woman nods as Darvin tells her what he is going to do. The look of relief on her face is immense.
"Thank you"
she says when the gag is removed.
"I didn't know the man I was dating was involved in some weird cult. They told me they were going to sacrifice me to Myrkul and then reanimate my dead body. I was so terrified. It was awful. Please take me home."
Gil would put the wand in his pack once he was certain there was nothing magic around. He would then look to the girl. "We were hired to take you home. Please, hurry and come with us so that we can get you home safe." He would say with a nod to Darvin. A moment later he would turn back to the girl as she prepares to leave before looking back to his companions. "Guys! This book has a whole bunch of spells I can learn! Once I learn them we can sell this book for a lot of money..." He would say with an excited "squeee"
"Young men really need to be taught to respect a woman's right not to be sacrificed to a death god and reanimated as a zombie without her explicit consent. What is our culture coming to?" Darvin replies, attempting to give the woman a brief moment of laughter. "We will of course take you home; that is what we are here to do. And I am sure you do not want to spend another minute in this place. However, my companions here were badly burned by one of the cultists back there on our way here to get you, and it would, I think, be wise for us to spend a short time resting up so they can dress their wounds before we escort you home. Not that I expect to encounter more trouble on the way, but you can never be too sure in this town."
The woman chuckles at your statement. "You haven't been in Baldur's Gate long have you? If you must rest, that is fine. Are the men outside dead? I sure hope so, they were evil."

Tibi spends the hour grooming his plumage (9 plus 2) whilst listening to Darvin’s gentle singing. At some stage he joins in the conversation “I can assure that all the people outside are dead, at least they were when we left them. It is true my companions and I are newcomers to Baldurs Gate and any insights you can provide would be much appreciated.”
"We need to hurry remember..." Gilbert would remind his companions, trying not to nag. "We were given a deadline after all and I am sure the young lady would prefer to get out of this blood soaked dungeon as quickly as possible... " The small verdan would say as he pokes one of the corpses with the butt of his staff. "Plus, we were asked to remain hidden.. so we might need to disguise our new friend... or perhaps just drape her in a robe... something to hide her face?" He would say as he rubs his tiny smooth chin.
Listening to Gilbert's statement, Whistler nods and looks around the room for a cloak. Seeing they are all quite damaged and/or covered in blood, he reaches into his rucksack and pulls out his own travelling cloak and passes it to the girl.
After a short rest, you escort the woman out of the sewers and back out onto the street. You make your way back to the Black Dragon Gate.
Occasionally you think you see someone following you, but you see few people as it is about 3 am. As you approach the gate several members of the Watch step out and block your way. The gate itself is closed and the Watch comes out a side door near the gate. They carry lit torches and swords.
"Halt! Who goes there?" Calls one of the Watch members, the rank of Sarmar (Sergeant) is on his breastplate.
"Hello Friends!" The small verdan would say as he hops towards the guards, leaning on his staff. "We were just escorting our friend back to her home." He would say with a smile.

Darvin, seeing the watch approaching, looks away from them momentarily, as if spotting something off in the distance. When he turns back his face has shifted; no longer does he appear to be the half-elf employee of Acquisitions Incorporated; his features now look human, with high cheekbones and the slightly too small and upturned nose of an aristocrat with a bit too small of a gene pool in his family tree.
"Gentlemen!" he replies, his voice taking on a highborn accent, but with the slight slur to his speech of someone who has been out enjoying himself. "Good, noble mmmembers of the Watch!"
"Mmy friends and I were just out having a bit of fun, you know. We're heading back to my villa, you see; this young lady was... was sso interested in seeing the accommodations of a real live Oathoon, and, well, it wouldn't be very hospitable of me not to accommodate her, now would it?" He winks at the Sarmar. "Now if you'll just let us through, I can promise you we will keep the noise confined to my property."
"Sir, I'll just need to see your badge that shows you're a resident of the Upper City and we can let you pass. An unusual time to be out but that's your business I guess."
"Ah yes, the badge! Good man, doing your job properly; got to cross all the eyes and dot the tees or... well, you know what I mean. I'm sure I have that here somewhere," Darvin says, reaching into a pocket and producing a small round metal object with the insignia of house Oathoon emblazoned on it.
You make your way through the gate and find yourself inside the Upper City. You immediately notice a stark difference the wall has. Outside small shacks and garbage lined the street and people slept in corners. The streets were dark and you had felt a distinct feeling of being hunted though you saw no one following you. But inside the Upper City the streets are clean , well lit and you see no one else out at this hour. It feels safe as you make your way to the women's estate.
The woman you escort relaxes as you walk the streets.
"I am glad I did not have to identify myself to gain entry into the city. I was not aware the Oathoon family had an interest in seeing me home safe."
As you approach the manor of the Bromuls the same man that hired you steps from the outer gate of the estate. He's been expecting you.
"My dear, it is good to see you safe. I am very glad these men were able to rescue you. Your parents await in the parlor. Please go and see them while I thank these men for their efforts. "
The woman enters the home and Gaylen turns his attention to you.
"As promised here is the additional 500 gold pieces and a bonus 500 gold for returning her safely before dawn."
He hands you a bag of gold.
"We will be in touch if we ever are in need of your services again. Your discretion is appreciated. "
The man dismisses you and returns back inside the estate.
The woman nods as Darvin tells her what he is going to do. The look of relief on her face is immense.
"Thank you"
she says when the gag is removed.

He looks you up and down. He sees that ti don't look like the normal rabble that tries to get into the Upper City.
"The upper city is closed. "
The man says.
"Return at sunrise if you wish access to the city."
(OOC: do we not get paid if we wait until sunrise?)
