Solemnly, Bukowyr organizes the remains of each of the children. Following a very patient and neatly worked effort to piece them together. He closes his eyes cleaning his heart and mind from the distress of the earlier battles, thinking of the nice pictures he found in the house, where the children may eternally play.
"MaySegojan Earthcallermake your hearts forever fertile with the most precious gems no worldly matter could ever shape."
The remains of the children are carefully and slowly placed in their crypts, followed by another silent prayer.
Slowly a ghostly appearance of both Rose and Thorn emerges from Kayla and Benito, they don't see anything just now in respect and giggling and laughing look at each other on last time and Rose hugs her brother and then they both go to their respective remains...Thorn drops his ghostly doll as he lays down, but the one that was holding Benito slowly floats towards his crypt.
Once their both resting in their crypt, the stone slabs float and position themselves where they were.
Hearing the shaken and confused voice of Benito, Bukowyr approaches the Goliath, hands to the waist, grinning. "You were possessed." - sounding awkwardly joyful. - "Lady Kayla and you. Everything has been taken care of. And there was no need for killing both of you. I am glad." - with arms open and the widening grin. - "Welcome back, both of you!"
Kai nods and looks the two over. "I'm not sure if you remember any of that. But we're in the basement level now. Rose and Thorn led us here in your bodies."

"Possessed! I've set out as a hunter of evil due to my tribe falling under possession, and here I am getting possessed by a child apparition. Well, I suppose the child wasn't evil if he released me willfully and unharmed. Anyways, am I correct in assuming that the monster that has tormented them is located on this level?"
The Svirfneblin nods to Benito. -" I want you to tell me that story in our next break. Let's head back to the opposite path. We have yet to explore that way." - Bukowyr said as he casually walked leading the way. Then turning back to face his companions. "The aberrations will not kill themselves, you know?"
Kai offers Bukowyr a smile. "Might I suggest checking for traps and such? If there is a monster down here, there has to be a reason it hasnt reached upstairs."

The world seemed to dissolve and then reform and Kayla couldn't quite remember what she'd been doing. As the others explained, she could almost remember, mostly in flashes and a strange sense of urgency. She'd been possessed? The idea she'd been little more than a puppet was most unsettling!
"I'm so sorry! I had no idea and have little recollection of what happened. I... suppose it's good we found the basement. I'm ready to go on," Kayla said taking stock and then smiled in relief. "I suppose it's no the first time I've had something strange in my head."
Witnessing the half-elf recovering her conscience, Bukowyr is relieved and a glimpse of a smile brushes his face. "The cake, Lady Kayla. Remember the cake." - Bukowyr advances to the caverns of the other area where they came from, scouting ahead for the safety of the group.
Bukowyr led the rest of the group to the north end, you pass by another entrance for another set of crypts - both with the stone slabs, one without a name and another one dedicated to "Walter Durst" -
After arriving to the northern wall, Bukowyr moves 10 ft and a reach a big room with a wooden table and four alcoves with moldy straw pallets
Connected to that room there's another one with a 4-foot-diameter well shaft with a 3-foot-high stone lip descends 30 feet to a water-filled cistern. A wooden bucket hangs from a rope-and-pulley mechanism bolted to the crossbeams above the well.
Also five side rooms. Each contains a wood-framed bed with a moldy straw mattress and a wooden chest to hold personal belongings. Each chest is secured with a rusty iron padlock.
Thorn/Benito cries at the site of his name written on the slab.

"There there, Thorn. You don't have to look," Rose soothed and then looked to the druid lady. "You want us to go there too, don't you?"

"Rooms, chests and aberrations to be eliminated." - the Svirfneblin answered as if that was all he needed to say.
Entering the nearest room, Bukowyr puts his senses to work examining the floor, corners and then the chest.
"Here, Benito." - Bukowyr calls for the gigantic companion. "Let me show you how to do this and then you can help me finding signs of danger."

Kayla follows the others. The basement's dank and moldy air makes her wrinkle her nose but she hopes it won't be nearly as bad as the dust.
