The warforged rushes into the room, charging towards Eadoo's zombified corpse. The two tabaxi turn away from the holes in the wall, viewing into the shrine room, looking towards each other asking; "Did you hear that!?" They both start looking around the room, ignoring the bleeding man beneath them.
The warforged rushes over, thrusting his sword deep into the zombie's flesh; bits of its innards popping and sizzling from the electricity pulsing from coils. The stench of burning rotting flesh fills the room.
Moments later, Eadoo stops it's flailing, as a crossbow bolt plunges into its skull; putting the zombie down for good.
As the gnome reloads their crossbow, you slip into the shrine room; making your way over to a corner. Pulling out an unusual looking device, the gnome turns and rapid fires two shots of a strange green goo into the shrine room. The first rolling under the shrine of shadows, the second one bouncing off a broken bench, landing on the shrine itself.
The first explodes in a blast of flames, forcing the shadow from the darkness beneath the shrine. Fluid in form, it clings to itself as it seeks shelter. Damaia raises her arm, firing forth a blast of magic; which tears through the center of the shadow's center, causing it to fade away in the light of the burning flames.
Suddenly the second ball of goo explodes upon the shrine, the wooden box and the candles scatter across the room; except for one candlestick that oddly didn't move at all.
Throughout the chaos the immense crowd above is ooing, cheering, and growning. A few pieces of copper fall from cracks to the floor below.
Fen, the secret door before you slides aside; as you walk deeper into the dungeon. After stepping through the door, it slides back into place, looking once more like a piece of the ancient wall. Before you, at the end of the hall are three goblins waiting near a door; the sound of combat on the other side.
Fen, your tiny invisible form flies up to the door, past the goblins. You land on the latch, and take a moment to unlock the door, before pushing against it to open it.
In a slow creak, the door next to Mr. Giggles opens into the room. You see three goblins standing there, in shock and confusion; two of which quickly hops to the side, the third stands in the open unsure what to do.
Fen; infront of you, you see a gnome poking a small wooden box on the ground with a crossbow, an eight foot tall warforged and a purple skinned female tiefling with yellow glowing mist floating around her hand; both oddly looking at a candlestick on the shrine to the Shadow God.
The warforged steps forward and grabs the goblin, yanking him forward out of the doorway, saying; "What are you doing here urchin? Speak the truth or face my wrath."
The tiefling quickly turns around and points her glowing hand at the Goblin. "Don't move. It won't end well" She says. The gnome raises his crossbow as well.
As the warforged lifts the Goblin in the air, two more goblins pop around the edges of the door, one slashing its scimitar along its shield, the other running the blade across the vital areas of its right leg.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fen lies in wait and gets ready to sting someone. He uses the confusion with the goblins to get behind the gnome and attack him while they are all focused on something else.
(Stealth just in case it's needed to close the distance, 13 and Attack: 22 Damage: 5 ) also, the target must make a DC 11 Constitution saving throw, taking 14 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Rerolled attack with advantage for surprise. Sorry messed that up. 17
The gnome responds to the goblin's attack by quickly firing his crossbow bow, the bolt glancing off of the warforged's shield. He puts away the crossbow; bringing out a crossbow like device, with a container of greenish liquid attached to the back of it.
The warforged drops the Goblin and stumbles backwards, pain and injury causing its leg to give. It flails around, reaching for anything to catch it's fall; barely reaching the shrine. When it contacts the shrine, it unintentionally knocks over the candlestick that activates the false secret passageway.
The sounds of ancient gears and switches activates and moves, with puffs of dust shedding all over the shrine. Behind the shrine, a doorway appears to open. But you know that the shrine is made of solid wood and metal; it will not move.
With the warforged now out of the way, the gnome lines up his shot. When he pulls the trigger, a glob of goo fires out towards a goblin, ignited by a small flame which flicks on as he fires it. It goes high, but explodes behind the goblin's shoulder; badly burning him.
The tiefling's first shot of magic misses in the chaos, but she lines up the second one quickly; blasting the injured goblin. She then falls back into the center of the room.
Fen, as you become visible, moving for your attack; you overhear the two tabaxi talking to each other as they enter the room. "Hey everyone, we think there is some kind of invisible creature arou...there it is!!" They call out, pointing towards you. You follow through with your strike and fly away invisible, heading towards the secret door. Flying through, you find several cots set up for rest and doors down the hallway.
The three goblins flee back down the hallway, away from the fight.
(I greatly apologize for the delay, we recently changed up my meds and I've been having difficulties trying to make posts. You can probably guess when we made the change, by when my post started cutting off.
I don't mean to leave everyone hanging, and I'm sorry for the wait. I have worked time into my schedule, starting tomorrow, that will help me get back to posting daily. Thank you for your patience.)
Fen, as you fly away from your recent victim, the gnome dares to attempt to strike at you; unfortunately he clips the side of you tail with his dagger. (Slashing Damage: 1; I included your damage reduction) Now invisible, you head towards the secret passage ahead. As you do so, the purple skinned tiefling raises her hand and showers you in flames. The feeling is wonderful, you haven't had the opportunity to bath in flames in forever. Your shower is ended suddenly when the length of a longsword, with strange coils attached, slashes into your body. (Slashing Damage: 3; DR included) The force of the attack is so great that you find yourself being moved with the momentum of the weapon. As this occurs, the coils suddenly spark to life with electricity; electrifying you and causing your flesh to literally sizzle. (Lightning Damage: 5, sadly no DR) You fly across the room, barely avoiding slamming into the shrine as you fly through the opening into safety.
Mr. Giggles watches as the tiefling unleashes a wave of flames filling the area before her. Moments later the massive warforged brings down an attack and, by the sounds of it, hits Fen. You know Fen, since you've both been around here for a while and both enjoy using your invisibility together against your prey. You are unsure if Fen is okay, but that comes as part of the game. You see the goblins flee, unaware on if they are luring their prey into an ambush or just scared, hard to tell with their kind. You watch the tabaxi girls rush after them and hope it's an ambush for their sake. Those girls have been here for a few days already and have proven themselves deadly. Ouvana, the minotaur, makes her way into the room. She bends over the gnome and says; "I can only give a little at a time; we cant waste it." A ray of divine light radiate's down through the ceiling, shining off of the warforged's metallic body, and comes down upon the gnome's forehead. Moments later his eyes open again. You are familiar with this technique of hers; barely heal them to keep them alive long enough to believe she is on their side, before singling them out and eliminating them.
The tiefling blasts off another magical bolt in the direction of Fen, but misses significantly. She then searches the area for Fen's body.
The warforged looks down to the gnome, saying; "Your gift has been a very useful one little friend, I am glad to see you back on your feet. Are you well enough to follow our Cat-like friends with me?"
"Aslongasnoonebreathesonmeparticularlyhardillbe fine" The gnome replies. Finding nothing, the tiefling joins with the others, and the three of them begin leaving the room, heading towards the door that the tabaxi ran through after the goblins.
The secret doorway slides aside as the small kobold dragonshield steps into the deadly dungeon. The chamber appears empty, with a few doors nearby, and likely others beyond a section where the room narrows into a small hallway before going off in opposite directions.
Before entering you checked the gossip and you know that you are less than five rooms away from the enemy; you just need to remember the way.
As you look down the narrow hallway, you see an old familiar face. A friend of yours that entered the dungeon weeks ago, and died a few days past. He shambles his undead corpse into the hallway; making your door options down to two. Right or left, which would you like to go; or would you like to head forward towards a lost friend?
Noch, (because his scaly skin is dark he tells others) his lost without his pack but they are probably doing very important job for the Goblin King. He just can't remember why he isn't with them.
He sees the shambling former friend wzlki'g toward him and shivers. "If you can't eat it and it's not equipment, "his brood mother always said," try to keep it at a safe distance. "
Noch decides to take the right path.
Fen decides to keep one room between himself and the adventurer knowing that he might need to retreat rather fast he always stays near the exit.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(So, what happened when they noticed me?)
Mr.Giggles steps too loudly, and, in the case that no one obviously knows where he is, will stealthily move away from his position, and keep following the group.
