"That flame, is that what is causing all this fog? I wonder what created it." Rutah exclaims upon it's discovery. He then begins to head to ward the cave entrance simply keeping an eye on his surroundings.
Dreel gulps as he looks at the fire, following his group around but not bothering to try and be stealthy, instead biting his lip and diggin one of his psuedo tusks into his upper lip, readying himself to transform should something aggressive attack as he says to the group "If I change.....try your best to not be near me."
OOC: Holding my Hybrid Transformation if something attacks up.
"I do not fear you Dreel. It is sad that you should fear yourself. I will fight by your side if it is necessary." Jaylen casts Shillalegh on his staff in anticipation of coming danger, then takes the dodge action.
The forest is still thick all the way to the small clearing around the cave, and as the group makes their way towards it, they have a feeling something is watching them.
Once in the clearing, everyone smells the rot and decay once more, as a low growl echoes from the cave entrance. There, stands a scruffy looking black dog. In places, it is clearly visible that its fur wasn’t always black – there are still a few beige and brown puffs of fur left here and there. In some parts, the fur has completely fallen off, but it’s not skin that is visible underneath. There is a thick layer of black goo that covers the clear patches, dripping off slowly and bubbling over the dog’s skin. The closer the travellers get, the louder the dog growls and the stronger the stench becomes. Then, suddenly, the growling stops and the dog lets out a broken bark.
Not even a second later, three more dogs jump at the group. They are all slightly larger than the one in the cave entrance, but all just as mangy and rancid with rot and decay.
Two of them jump at Jaylen. Dog 1: Attack: 6 Damage: 8 Dog 2: Attack: 15 Damage: 7 [If attack hit, roll Constitution Save]
The last one attacks Dreel, but not before Dreel changes form. Dog 3: Attack: 21 Damage: 8 [If attack hit, roll Constitution Save]
[Jaylen, Clipclop, Rutah and Dreel are in the clearing, Baconoid and Ignus are still hidden between the plant growth, 5ft behind the rest of the group.]

[Everyone roll initiative! - From here on, we will be posting in initiative order, with me resolving actions in-between. So, whoever rolls highest initiative goes first than wait for me to resolve it before the next one goes.]
Seeing the threat, Dreel starts to hyper ventilate a bit, muttering loud enough for the others close to him "I'm doing good, I'm doing good....this is for good!" Before letting out a deep squeal, his form rapidly growing patches of incredibly coarse bristles and patches of fur and the pseudo-tusks poking from his bottom lips grow to become full 3 inch long tusks, his face morphing to become somewhat porcine. Before he can get his shield up the dog manages to latch on to his arm, growling in it's face back, already the blood lust welling up within him as he struggles to maintain control.
OOC: Since my transformation went through first I only take 4 points of damage from the hit, at least the piercing from the hit. So far DC 10 for my WIS save when it does get to the beginning of my turn, 4 damage.
Jaylen shrugs the dog's attacks off with the skill of a seasoned veteran, parrying one side with his staff, blocking the other easily with his shield, neither attack getting close to connecting.
When his turn comes he will cast spiritual weapon (which manifests as a circle of 7 whirling stars, shuriken, the chosen weapon of Mystra) as a bonus action attacking the first dog that attacked him with it.
Spiritual Weapon: to hit 19 if it hits 5 force damage.
He then brings his Shillalegh down upon the same creatures skull as his action, casting Booming Blade.
Booming Blade: to hit 6 if hits 10 bludgeoning damages plus an additional 1 thunder damage if it moves on its next turn.

Oh - I thought if I cast it from the corner of the square between D and the lowest X, I could cast it left and up and not hit anyone. Or I could be at the exact bottom center of the square as I'm still hiding in the brush?
The fire bolt just misses the dog, flying over it and hitting the tree behind it.
[OOC - since nothing changed, I’ll use the action Sulimo previously posted for Jaylen]
A circle of stars manifests next to Jaylen and starts spinning towards the dog in front of him. The dog whimpers and hunches lower to the ground as the stars cut into its back. However, when Jaylen brings down his staff for another hit, the dog easily avoids it.

A beam of crackling energy flies from Clipclop’s hands and slams into the dog. The crackling energy surrounds the dog and the creature tenses and struggles to stay on its feet.
After shaking off the energy, the dog pounces again at Dreel. Attack: 23 Damage: 8 [If it hits, roll CON Save]
The dog in front of Jaylen growls at the staff that hit the floor next to him, and with a bark, charges at Jaylen for another attack. Following straight after, the other dog attacks Jaylen as well. Attack: 20 Damage: 7 Attack: 24 Damage: 6 [If it hits, roll CON Save for each attack]

(AC 20 now that I'm transformed. Though I'll attack the dog since it is right in my face no matter what, still need to roll my WIS save DC 10 for the blood lust to take over, will edit and add the rest in a moment as this mostly decides how vicious/uncontrolled the attack is)
WIS Save: 10
Growling and forcing himself to calm down, Dreel growls out, his voice a few octaves deeper "I control the monster, I am not the monster, I control the monster!" Calming his bloodlust enough to bring his palms to his newly elongated tusks, cutting open his palms, and a spray of blood runs down his arms, beginning to crackle and course over his large form. He then takes one huge swipe at the dog before him, his claws crackling with the energy of his blood rite.
OOC: Bonus action Crimson Rite, reducing my max and current HP by 3, action to attack the dog in front of him.
Attack Roll: 23 Damage roll if hit: 9 Slashing and 2 Lightning
(And last note so you know DM, the next time Dreel sees a dog attack anyone except him within 60ft, I will be using my reaction to use the Blood Curse of the Eyeless, imposing disadvantage on the attack so long as the creature is not immune to being blinded.)

Ignus surveys the scene from the shadows of the undergrowth. He casts Thunderwave on two of the dogs (the two most bottom-left).
The dogs must make a CON13 save or take 9 damage and are pushed 10 feet back. On a successful save they take 1/2 damage and are not pushed.
