Unfortunately rl got one of my players and 2 seam to be very bussy so i need to replace 1-3 players in my campaign ( Lost MIne of Phandelver).
I plan to remove the missing players and add the new ones, once my group returns to a village/town (most likely PHandalin, i expect them to be back there in a week or two). Since i want to do that without interrupting the game, i will already start looking for replacements now.
So here are the rules:
WotC content only, excluding UA and exotic races ( warforged or monster races)

post a little backstorry, why you are in Phandalin
Flattery is my preferred trick for getting what I want. I lie about almost everything, even when there’s no good reason to.
Ideals
Independence. I am a free spirit—no one tells me what to do. (Chaotic)
Bonds
A powerful person killed someone I love. Some day soon, I’ll have my revenge.
Flaws
I’m convinced that no one could ever fool me the way I fool others.
An orphan of the streets, Arvel quickly learned that his good looks and silver tongue could allow him to get away with almost anything. A low-level conman, he prides himself on never taking anything that wasn't freely given.
A year ago, he was ready to hang it all up and go straight. Because he'd met Luala and wanted to marry her. On the night he planned to propose, Arvel approached Luala sitting on a stone bench in a park. When he touched her shoulder, she fell to the ground. Her throat had been slashed and her dress was dyed deep red with her blood.
Arvel turned to shout for help but he stopped suddenly. A bloody dagger had mysteriously appeared in his hand. Stunned by this, Arvel didn't hear the approach of the watchmen.
Seized, jailed, and set to be put on trial for murder he sat in his cell weeping over his fate and his lost love.
That's when She appeared. The woman appeared Elven, but was more beautiful than any elf Arvel had ever seen before. The offer was simple, Arvel would be given his freedom and a small measure of power to continue his conniving ways and in exchange he would render Her service when She required.
Seeing no other way out, Arvel accepted and became a Warlock in service to the Archfey woman.
The next morning he was released from prison. The guards explained that a common street thug had come forward and confessed to the murder. Arvel took all he had saved and set out for a life of adventure to escape his pain and grow his power.

Arvel is in Phandalin because he sweet talked a wagoneer into giving him a free ride and Phandalin happened to be where the wagon was headed.

Backstory: Since a young age Kieran has felt a pull towards nature and the animals of the wood. Eventually, in his small town he began to develop a strong connection and draw to the Wild Mother who began to reveal secrets to him in small ways. When his magic began to reveal itself his family was caught off guard - they didn't even know that magic ran in their line, let alone the abilities that Kieran was showing. When he reached 15 he began to travel looking for ways to help preserve the forest and do right by the Wild Mother. He now finds himself inside a Phandalin pub waiting for the next direction.
Looking to get away from the more barbaric life she was born into she leaves her tribe to learn more about other civilizations and ways of life hoping to one day return to her people and teach them a better way to live. Sumazura traveled to villages, towns and cities to learn different ways of life often working at temples to make ends meet in between.
As fishermen, sailors, and traders, Crest’s family has always had a connection to the sea. So when she was born, it was no surprise that she automatically showed an attraction to the water. What was surprising, however, was that the water showed an attraction to her. Within months, her true heritage became clear through her free floating dark blue hair and eyes. Her bond with the seas continued to grow throughout her childhood to her adult life. She proved remarkably apt at sailing. The winds seemed a bit fairer, the water a bit smoother, the animals a bit more friendly whenever she took to the helm. Her skill soon surpassed even her father’s, and she became her family’s link to the sea. However, even her heritage and skill couldn’t keep rough waters away forever. One night, a terrible storm blew the family’s ship into a dangerous reef, sinking the boat near the Sword Coast. Only Crest, through the elemental blood in her veins, managed to survive. Relatives dead, business ruined, and stranded far from home, Crest has wandered the past few months, looking for employment and a new place to call home. Her traveling has brought her to Phandalin, where the next chapter in her story is about to unfold...
Originally from Settlestone, south of Mithral Hall, beneath Fourthpeak, Tormund was raised on the fine craft of brewing ale. His father was the brewmaster for this small town raised me on wits and ale. Seeing the visitors of the tavern gave me a diverse world view and granted me the opportunity to see other races in the world. At the coming of my age, I had grown bored with brewing. I had mastered the craft by 40, which was early for dwarves in Settlestone. I decided to join our clan's guard and support our claim and livelihood to Settlestone against the ravenous hoard of barbarians, orcs, and ogres that plagued our lands. I trained, and fought, and learned my skills and tested my wares for 20 years in the guard mastering use of the greatsword, my weapon of choice. I found my might and resilience through a lowly friar of Tempos, who served the clan for many years. Our conversations and his faith brought me closer to Tempos. My captain approached me one day and asked me to embark on a special mission that would take me to Phandelin. He said I will need to assimilate myself into the culture and wait for someone to approach me. He said that when that time came, I would know what my role to play would be. He said this is a key strategic element of greater good. That was 30 years ago. During my wait, I have successfully become a member of Phandelin. I own a small shop. Upstairs is my living quarters and downstairs I have a small ale house. 2-3 tables, mostly filled by the neighbors. Enough to keep my hands occupied. I await the day to serve my clan once more! We will lead the dwarven people one day...one way or another!
I am a totally new player to 5E and play by post... Would love the opportunity to join your game if possible.

Hollis Judyfill - Human Fighter
"Hollis frequents the tavern of this lovely town as he is seeking adventure. He grew up on a farm just outside of town. His father taught him all I know when it comes to 'handling himself in a fight. From what Hollis was told, the tavern is where to find other people that seek adventure, as well."
Coming to think of it, consider this one application instead of the one I had firstly made.
Name: Ree'lyn Arken'ar
Race: Drow
Class: Warlock (Archfey patron: Titania)
Background
Ree'lyn, of House Arken'ar, from the drow city of Ched Nasad, was born in the same day the city was razed.
The merchant noble House was nearly destroyed in the events that led to that catastrophe. In a dire move to being chaos and pulverise their enemies, the Matron Mother of House Arken'ar had her pregnancy turned into a focus of arcane powers into a conjuration ritual at the time the perpetrators and thralls of the city's doom worked on their goal. A demon would be used to increase the chaos triggered in the city.
Unbeknownst to the Matron Mother, and the other members of the House, the sixth child of the House and third son of the matron would be used by the demon as a vessel and sacrifice. Not even his father, the House Wizard, although suspicious of something would be able to stop it in time.
Tricking the demon, the priestesses and arcanists of the House, a powerful entity meddled with the ritual in a very peculiar manner, causing the failure of the intended goal and a breach which allowed another House to bind the demon for themselves. Another agenda would be fulfilled through Ree'lyn in the form of a pact.
He grew as a scout and scavenger with his own group around what was left of Ched Nasad to help rebuild his House, which was not wiped out because most of their structure was built into a side cave wall, allowing them to survive, albeit much weaker, and having to manage recruiting new soldiers to replace the ones that died, fled or died trying to flee.
Knowing the real power behind Ched Nasad's authorities, House Arken'ar always kept a low profile, while keeping close to them and making contacts to strengthen their position and network. One of them is a female drow agent, close to him since his childhood.
That endeavour led Ree'lyn to grow up with his own plans to thrive with his House. Under the tutelage of his father, the House Wizard and his only real sister among his two male and three female siblings. Searching for new places and trading contacts under his control to build power are part of his motivation to leave the city.
The other part has to do with episodes of what he would think of as hallucinations, seeing and sensing flora and fauna never before seen in the Underdark. Verdant, shinny and cacophonous like he had never known in his life.
That is the place he wants to find, and the seductive voice and presence that accompanies him some times he wants to meet.
His travels took him to new places in the surface world. Seeking for new trade opportunities, Ree'lyn heard about this town growing again after a time of catastrophe, and finds himself in Phandalin.

Just an update, i did not forget you. We are still talking with some goblins. I will keep you in the loop about the progress, but i can't predict what they will do next or how fast the game progresses, so please be patient with us.
Are you still looking for players to join. I have a level 2 Human Rogue, Pierpont, who is a smuggler and could join in with your group.
Backstory has him serving as a smuggler for the Lords of Waterdeep in payment for sparing his life. Could be in any town/village laying low after completing a job.
