Making your way on foot you begin to head south. Picking up a routine to keep yourselves occupied during the long journey, after two and a half days you come upon the Dusk Road trading route along the Chionthar River. Heading West along the road to find a bridge to pass you begin to see the outskirts of Iliaebor City. A vastly human city with many stores to restock or shop, but more importantly a bridge to the South side of the river. It’s been five uneventful days and walking along the path with a stretch of trees on either side. You begin to notice large antennas sticking out amongst the air. Over half a dozen pairs of antennas are tasting the air; giant centipedes hidden under leaves, curled around rocks, and behind branches are waiting for their next prey.
"Well... it looks as though there is an ambush up ahead." Drax would say in a very matter-of-fact tone. " I don't know about you but I could use a little excitement after the past few boring days.. plus their bodies contain a potent poison that I wouldn't mind extracting." The man would say as he rolls his neck with a few loud cracks. Drax would then slide his hand into his fine black and gray clothes and pull out a green crystal. Clutching it tightly in his right hand, he would rake his black talon-like finger against its smooth surface before drawing a dagger in his off hand.
"Bartlebee, lets scout it out." Jenga says as he sends the owl up to get a better view. Jenga then pulls out his staff and rod and casts mold earth in order to shape 5 or 10ft of the ground most directly in front of him towards the enemies. "Drax, let's get you some poison."
(If i have enough time I basically wanna create a 10ft barrier of difficult terrain, and then take 10 seconds to see through Bartlebee's eyes to get a better view of the battlefield and positioning of the centipedes)

The group was able to spot the centipedes to avoid being surprised. The Centipedes begin crawling out into the path. Chittering loudly while chomping their mandibles. Green ichor dripping from their pincers. The smell of heavy pollen and damp soil fill your nostrils. The sun beating down overhead, giving a slight red shine to the centipedes.
the group makes out 8 centipedes from their vantage point. Drax, Zing, and Petmorn’s initiative
Jenga casts his spell, a green mist raises from the ground as earthen claws strike up from under causing a rocky and loose terrain. The area in between is now difficult terrain for everyone.
Bartlebee is able to fly by quickly and scope out that there is another group of centipedes waiting in the tree. 14 centipedes in total.
Letting out a war cry, Petmorn launches himself at the nearest centipede and unleashes two strikes with his longsword, holding it in one hand with his shield in the other.

Drax would squeeze the crystal tightly as he mutters an incantation under his breath. A moment later two beams of sickly green energy eruprt towards the two closest scorpions as he casts Ray of sickness. "Let's see who has the stronger poison...." He would say aloud with a sinister grin.
Action - second level ray of sickness, using a sorcery point to Twin the spell to attack two enemies Attack: 25 Damage: 10 on hit, make a 16 con save or be poisoned. Attack: 18 Damage: 16 on hit, make a 16 con save or be poisoned.
Petmorn spins through the air slashing and cutting C1 and C2 in half. The green blood begins to soak into the dirt.
Zing raises his bow and takes out C3 as it was descending from a branch. It tossed back ten feet before collapsing onto the ground sliding another five.
Drax throws his hands in an arc with crystal in hand glowing brightly. His ray of sickness hits C5 and C4 causing them to wilt and rot like diseased slugs covered in salt.
C1 - C5 are out of combat.
The other centipedes begin to descend from the treeand emerge from the surrounding bushes and rocks. Closing in on the group. Raising their pincers and clamping down trying to get at least a piece of each of you for a meal.
(OOC: Did the centepides I hit make their save or be poisoned in addition to the damage they took? Do we each have to make a save for poison damage if we get hit?)

(In addition from each of your bites you take 3d6 poison damage for each bite. For my sake I’m doing one roll of 6d6 for Xin and Jeng, having that roll be halved for Drax, Petmorn, and Matteo. Seeing how every got bit at least once and Xin and Jeng twice.)
Matteo grins, anticipating the familiar thrill of battle, despite the unworthy opponents. Nevertheless, a chance to see the others fight was a definite improvement to the day so far. He draws his longsword as the two centipedes twist around his legs, and makes two strikes:
Matteo strikes out against the two centipedes on his legs, but the awkward angle and decreased flexibility makes it a hard spot to get a decisive blow on either. The sword unable to get through their touch chitinous armor.
Jengamyr’s initiative first, but then top of the order for Drax, Petmorn, and Jengamyr again.
The gang is swarmed and surrounded by the Centipedes. All within melee of the ones attacking spread out in a circle.

Jengamyr curses loudly in Goblin as the centipedes latch on to him. Did I mention that he hates bugs, because he definitely hates bugs. Particularly these bugs. "Braeunk vhos trolkh" he shouts as he grasps his Pact Keeper and casts thunder step teleporting himself 90 feet away from the group. He then steps back another 25ft to ensure he is away from the carnage.
(Centipedes within 10ft of me on all sides must make Con 17 save or take 29 thunder damage. On a failed save they take half, if I kill one I get 10 temp HP from dark ones blessing)
Jengamyr’s thunderstorm has the centipedes erupt where they are as he teleports to another location. The Centipede attacking Drax got caught by the spell too.
Petmorn slices through C7, But that gives C10 enough time to scurry out of the way of his follow up swing.
