Thokk - Seeing the others from the alley starting to funnel into the tavern and Thokk takes this moment to leave his table with his drink to go have a quiet talk with the bartender. He walks up to the bar and says to the bartender, "Hey...what will it take to get you to give a few of us this tavern all to ourselves for say...an hour?". He waits for his response to the question at hand.
Laaz looks at you suspiciously before replying "For the right priccccce, I can even prepare a meal for everyone on the housssse."
Moments ago you heard the dragon man and Laaz exchange a few words before Marun headed to the back table where the hooded warforged, human, and the bard was seated. Laaz handed his gear over before Marun left, now he stands waiting for your offer.
Think: Looking at the bartender says,"I think that for an hour of your business and you being put out of customers except for this group (gestures with his hand) that a fair price would be 50gp." He puts 25gp on the counter and says,"That's half...you can have the rest once we've finished. As for the meal, if you are able to provide such I'm sure there would be no problem in adding to your pockets...if it is still part of the deal?"
Zephyre remains at ease as you approach him, you reach out to touch his shoulder and to your surprise you feel linen, fine linen and muscles underneath. Yet still something doesn't feel right about this being, maybe in time you will find out why.
"Satisfied?" "You have an abnormal sensativity to magic for a human" Zephyre looks at Ben who stands hand on sword ready for anything the odd elf might try to do to you. "Theres no need to be uneasy, I have no reason to harm anyone here tonight."
- Forgive me, Sir, - Nawien's smile was a bit coy and apologetic in the same time. - You seem to be ... too perfect for the reality. And considering so many strange events happening tonight, I just had to make sure you are not a hallucination. My senses - not the magic one, though thank you for the compliment - still scream "it can not be", but one can not fight reality. Again - my apology.
- Your story is very convincing, but does it mean, medallion is not needed anymore, since the one who could use it is dead? That thing does not belong to us, we are only messengers and have to return it now... Probably... - She was thinking a loud looking at Ben. - We can tell the owner never showed up? It will be the truth. Sort of.
I take a quick look around the alley, before following the Orc into the tavern. I check to see if Larzz (the young dwarf), and my ale are still where I left them (Perception: 14)
You see Larz still sitting at the table you two have settled at. Your drink is gone and Larzz has some metal rings ranging from 3 inches to half a foot with some nuts and bolts laying about. He looks up, seeing you walk toward the table, and waves the server over and says something to her before she walks to the bar and fills up a fresh mug of brewed ale before placing it on the table. Larzz hands her a few coins before she walks off.
You see a few of the others from the alley beginning to gather at a table near the back. The half orc stands at the bar talking to who you assume is the owner of the establishment. At this point there are hardly any customers left besides the lott of yall.

I wander over to Larz "Hey Laddie, you seem to know your way around this place, would you be interested in joining us," waving over to the table where others are gathering, "there may be an interesting proposal."
I wander over to the back table via the bar ordering an ale, and introduce myself to those who are there:
"It all appears that we seem to have come together and it would be impolite for me to keep calling you 'orc' etc."
"I'm Dàin Ironfoot, a soldier from the Ironfoot Mountains, cast out by fools and their political machinations. I have been looking for a bit of a scrap to keep my hand in. Looks like I may have found one."

Zephyre looks at Nawien and shrugs his shoulders, accepting and dismissing the apology. "The medallion does still have uses however if what you say is true then I must talk to the individual that sent the two of you on this delivery. It's too late to go back to the inner rings, the gates will be locked with no access by now. On top of that this isn't the best place to be running the streets in search of a bed. We should try to find a place close by tonight. I have to meet up with someone shortly so let me know what yall decide"
Ben agrees with Zephyre, it's to dangerous to try and find our way back so late and surely the boss has headed home for the night. He waits for your opinion on the matter.

Now, that was a surprise and unpleasant one. Note to herself - sometimes it's wise to watch out the hour.
- Well, if the gates are closed,- Nawien was trying hard to look braver than she felt, - I assume we can spend time in that tavern?- She pointed at the "Lightning Toad". - Providing, they do not eat humans and elves. After all that happened, I wouldn't put it past them. Although if you know any better place I would gladly follow you. Can not say I am very familiar with that part of the town.

As you point toward the tavern you notice the crowd that once was, is now gone. There is nothing to show for the events that unfolded, not even the large puddle of blood.
Zephyre senses your unease and tries to reassure you that the tavern will be safe.
"I know the owner personally and that's one of the safest places to bed for a night if you get stuck out too late. I will go ahead of you two and have a little chat with Lazz, the owner, stay close to Ben when you come in and grab a seat by the counter" he says this in a friendly tone before walking swiftly toward the back door, he calls back to yall "by the way dont worry about the crowd that was over here, I've taken care of that situation"

Lazz accepts your terms and sends the server around to several patrons, after a short time they leave. She brings a large container of ale over to the back table and places several large mugs around it before heading to the kitchen.
Thokk - Says to the bartender, "Much appreciated." He looks at Dain and opens his arm wide giving the dwarf the space to walk ahead of him. While walking back to the table where the others seem to have settled and the server has just placed plenty to drink for everyone Thokk thinks, "Why am I doing this? Is it to just gain favor with strangers? (His eyes travel over each one) I have been looked down by their ilk my entire life...except for the mechanoid...him I still don't get. Maybe this time will be different?" . As he stands at his seat he says to the table, "The bartender (Thokk lifts his glass towards the bartender in a salute) has been so kind as to offer us his bar and services for an hour of privacy." He sits at the table and continues, "I have already met the large dwarf here (indicates with his hand to Dain) the rest of you not so much...so, here goes, my name is Thokk (points to the dwarf) his name is Dain...that just leaves us with who the rest of you are?". He then takes a sip of his ale.

In the center of the table is a large container of ale, surrounding it are several large mugs, some of which already have drinks in them. Marun, the dragon kin, sits closest to the back wall facing the inside of the rest of the tavern. Cyst, the human who looks like he fights often, according to the bandages hands and wrists, sets to the right of Marun. To the right of Cyst is an empty chair, next to it sets Dain, slightly diagonal from Marun. Thokk still stands behind his chair grasping it as he addresses everyone (this can be found in the spoiler) . There is another empty seat to the right of Thokk and next to this one is where the artificial intelligence sits, hood now drawn back due to the fact no one else is here. Finally to the right of Rusty is another empty seat before the big day round table meets back to Marun.
Grabbing her walking stick from the ground Sumazura will yell towards the character in elvish
"RUN YOU IDIOT, YOU AREN'T HELPING ANYONE SITTING THERE AND SULKING!!"
Sumazura will dash 60' back towards the Elf village.
You successfully get away. They were close behind but about 40 steps from the entrance of the settlement they stopped the chase. It was nearly dark when you seen the beast in the bush and now the sun has faded to night. Being what you are you might be safe from what may lurk in the jungle, but you definitely can't go back to the village.
Your anger towards this rival diminishes as you see the events of the giant women in the treelines. She shouts in an exact elven language that your people aren't familiar with see as your elvish language has a unique dialect to your location. "Get out of there before they really mess you up!!!"
All you can think is how dangerous the jungle will be for the being when it gets dark, how easy it is to get turned around in the jungle, and the horrid monsters that lurk through the shadows. Not to mention a few of the tribes fastest hunters and trackers.
Your rival kicks at you hard but you ground yourself and catch him by the ankle several inches from your head. You did all of this with a speed and reaction that you have never had before. Before your encounter with the unique friend of yours, you weren't half as skilled in martial moves. Even the movement of your body itself in those moments suprised you.
”ah, finally some clear talking, and coming from an half-orc nonetheless! Anyway, I am Cyst, I am a fighter...I was just having fun here when heard strange noises and that bloody corpse and...you all know, don’t you?! Well, I also heard the dark elf coming out from nowhere talking about solving a plague or something, and last but not least he talked about gold: I am interested in solving problems (especially if mines) and I am definitely interested in gold”
"Well, if we're introducing ourselves," Marun looks around the table, "the names Marun. You could say I am a sailor of sorts, though it's been a few months now since I have had the waves beneath my feet. I don't really want to get caught up in a plague, if that's what it is, but really I am in it for the money. I need to get back on the oceans and currently the only way I want to do that is on my own vessel. I'm not serving under another captain again.".
Marun reaches out and grabs one of the mugs in the centre of the table, but doesn't drink. He doesn't feel like right now is the time to lose his wits, but not taking one might make him stand out to the others.
Zephyre remains at ease as you approach him, you reach out to touch his shoulder and to your surprise you feel linen, fine linen and muscles underneath. Yet still something doesn't feel right about this being, maybe in time you will find out why.

Again, this feeling! She wished she was home and could talk to her teacher - he would know what this strange vibe is and understands hints the elf was giving every other sentence. On the other hand, it would mean yet another lecture about magic that comes easy without hard studies, as if she never studied anything. No, the more mysterious - the better! She will solve it herself. Actually, if not for that strange feeling there was nothing she had to be all worked up for - his last phrase could simply mean "I have some helpers, who dealt with the crowd". May be that mechanoid thingy was his servant? Arhg! Too many questions.
Nawien gave the elf some time, spending it thinking about everything above, and the proceeded to the tavern, staying close to Ben, keeping her mouth shut and eyes open.
I'm just waiting on everyone to act now, like nawien, you can post again about entering the tavern, and the people in the tavern can have open conversations and actions with each other.
@dm : for me or for other characters coming from ring city, can you tell us if lately (last month) we noticed or have been told something that rings any bell in connection to what we saw in the back alley?

He sits at the table and continues, "I have already met the large dwarf here (indicates with his hand to Dain) the rest of you not so much...so, here goes, my name is Thokk (points to the dwarf) his name is Dain...that just leaves us with who the rest of you are?". He then takes a sip of his ale.
Cade Overhill/ Level 3 / Halfling / Bard - Talaveroth (sub-campaign 1)
Manneo "Bear Killer" Thuliaga / Level 1 / Goliath / Monk - Curse of Strahd

AMYGDALA

Cyst removed his horned helmet and sips his ale

Cyst looks at the blue Dragonborn with curiosity
“I am a sailor myself, you may need my experience in your ship...my...of course, when all of this is over...”

I'm just waiting on everyone to act now, like nawien, you can post again about entering the tavern, and the people in the tavern can have open conversations and actions with each other.

“When this is over, maybe we will sail together.” Marun watched and waited for the others to introduce themselves.
@dm : for me or for other characters coming from ring city, can you tell us if lately (last month) we noticed or have been told something that rings any bell in connection to what we saw in the back alley?
