Brotherhood holds up his hands in a disarming gesture, speaking calmly with a friendly smile. "I simply ask as not to be rude, but if you wish not to say then I shan't press the issue. I just ask for a moment of your time. I'm curious if any of you have heard anything about this mysterious island that has appeared recently. They say its shrouded with fog and those who land there never return. However, I'm more interested in what might have caused it to appear there in the first place. I was hoping, with your wisdom and knowledge of magic, that one of you may be able to shed some light on what might have caused such a place to just pop into existence like that? And any other rumors you heard about the place may be of interest to me as well if you would care to share."
"Well, I heard that some people saw this spooky looking ship while checking out the island. Dark wood, black sails, real freaky, you know. When they got a closer look, it was full of a whole bunch of those shadow lovers, Shadar-Kai, or whatever they're called. No one knows what they were doing there, I definitely don't."
(Brotherhood)
The man you spoke to opens his mouth as if to speak to you, but is suddenly cut off.
"Even if we knew something, none of us would tell it to a redskin maggot like you," says another man, standing up and glaring at you. You see that, though none are as furious as this man, few of the religious folk look happy to see you up here.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Brotherhood forces himself to keep a friendly smile on his face. "Well, I can see that I'm not wanted here, so I will take my leave. You gentlemen enjoy the rest of your evening." He bows and then turns around to head down the balcony, as soon as he turns around his smile is immediately replaced with a scowl. He heads back to the table to join the rest of the party, sitting back in his chair and pulling up his hood.

"Fascinating. Is it true that it looks different to everyone who sees it? I have never heard of such a thing before." Pierpont reaches into a pouch on his belt and takes out a single ball bearing, playing with it between his fingers as he talks to the bartender. "I have heard tales of the Shadar-kai. It is hard to imagine the beauty of the elves devoid of all life. Thank you for your time."
Pierpont made his way back to the table where he waited to see what the others had learnt.
Seeing the disrespect showed towards Brothehood, Helena places a hand on his shoulder before walking towards the religious folk and giving them all an obvious glare. She scans the group, trying to pick out the different races.
Renn enters the tavern a bit late, her hair freshly changed to a green and pink wild mane. She looks around, looking for the most interesting person she can find, and tries to start up a conversation.

Seeing the altercation among the religious folks I will signal the bartender to bring another round of drinks, just in case. I will then make a point of always keeping the religious folks in my site to check on what they are doing.
Brotherhood takes one of the drinks and sips on it. He then mutters to the table "I'd be interested in knowing what a group like that is going in a place like this."Glaring back up at them he continues, "So obviously themed like the underdark and even the staff dress to appear as drow elves, yet they don't seem as violently offended by that. Oh well, not worth the trouble." He finished with a resigned shrug.
You know the Shadar-Kai, or Shadow Fey, are an race of shadow-like fey that seem to be connected to the Shadowfell and the Raven Queen.

You look around, but cannot see anyone that might stand out. You ask around for rumors about the island, you find someone happy to help. Too happy, in fact.
"Ohmygosh," exclaims the young half-elf, radiating a sickening amount of joy and enthusiasm, "I know, like, all about the island!! It's, like, my main thing!!"
You find it odd that the island would be this person's "main thing," seeing as how it's only been around a few weeks.
"Okay, so, like, when the island popped up, I was all like, 'Woah, that's, like, really cool, I wanna know everything about it,' and now I do!! What do you, like, wanna know?!"

Pierpont waits at the table for the others to arrive. Once they do he relays to them the information that he received from the bartender about the presence of the Shadar-Kai on the island.
(OOC: I think you missed my post, but what races make up the religious group? They attacked Brotherhood's race so my comeback is all based on their race haha.)
Helena scowls at the elf. "Well, I suppose you wouldn't want to tell half-blood scum like me what you've heard about the island either, hm? Ah, but what am I to expect from an elf. Elitists who think themselves greater than others, aren't you all?"
Listening to Pierpont relay the information he got from the bartender Aka will chime in on the information he might know about the Shadar-Kai and possibly what they might be looking for on the island.
"I haven't actually, like, seen it or anything, and no one who's gone to it has returned. It appeared, like, two weeks ago."

The elf scowls at you and goes to stand up, but is blocked by his friend, the one that Brotherhood originally spoke to.
"Now, we don't want to cause any trouble, do we? Why don't you have another drink instead?"
He turns over to you and looks you in the eyes, his expression saying "sorry about that."
(Aka)
You know of the Shadar-Kai's great prowess at shadow and illusion magic, as well as of the shadow curse that plagues many of them, sapping their will to live.

Helena crosses her arms. "There wouldn't need to be any trouble if the elf had just let you answer my friend's question. Any informstion we can get may be vital to our mission. Hold a grudge against me or my friend, I don't care. But an innocent man's life is on the line here."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Listening to Pierpont and Aka, Brotherhood tries to recall anything about any dealings the Shadar-Kai may have had with other races before, and if they are the type who may attack a lone traveler unprovoked.

"Can't say I know much about these Shadow elves, but if our blue friend ran into them on the island they may end up being are best bet to finding him. Not sure if they are much for talking, so we should tread lightly once we arrive."
Pierpont settles down at the bar. "Would love to. I am always up for a good story. You never know when knowledge is going to come in handy."

Humans mostly, a few dwarves, and one or two elves. The one who yelled at Brotherhood was an elf.
