Performance: 8
OOC: typical (rolls eyes)
Peshley does her best to keep up with the more skilled bards but her illusions are a little of the beat of the story and don’t always look quite like she expected the too. She was not used to that many changes in such a short time
With a 17 and a 25 on Performance, you rock the house! I will describe the scene more in depth in the Main thread, but before you meet with the Mastandian General, an old Human man approaches you, dressed in expensive and exuberant clothes, visibly moved by the performance..."That was wonderful. What a memorable tale, and exquisite music! Didn't care too much for the magical gimmicks though....a little cheap, we're going to have to do better on that if we want to hit the BIG leagues...but anyway, here is my card. Come and see me when you want to do some SERIOUS barding.....
The Card reads: Althurus Gambles, talent agent and President of the Randal Styles Bard's College, City of the Three Peaks chapter. "Show us what you've got"
And With that, he chugs his martini, crosses his arms , drops down backwards and dissapears into the floor...
All the time performance was going on, Laievis played the part of enthusiastic elven audience, meaning politely applauding, smiling and nodding in appropriate parts of the story. Also, not forgetting to present performers with the flowers.
If invitation to the backstage was a surprise to him, he did not indicate it in any way, but deeply bowed to the armoured woman.
- I should have guessed we were joining forces with a hero of the land back there on the roof. May we know the name of the Lady Warrior?
Uther sat in the front row almost standing from his seat. Clapping and cheering and invoking others to do the same. Especially at the end of the act " rise rise show your appreciation" he bellows as he glares at anyone still seated until they stand, sometimes helping people up to their feet.
Saerirra would look at the card alongside Cade. Then shake the man's hand and says, "Thank you, sir, we will consider this I'm sure." before he disappears back into the audience.

“You two were were amazing.”Peshley congratulates Cade and Saerirra. “Sorry about the, um. Who was that guy?”She indicates to he spot where the man had fallen into the floor.
"I....don't know. Apparently he runs a Bard College here in Three Peaks somewhere."
Saerirra thought about what working with the man might lead to, and how many big audiences she could perform for, while waiting for the woman in the heavy armor to speak to her.
Uther eyes the man wearily as he leaves. Then goes up to the stage hugs Saerirra (or attempts to) " that was amazing" he says clapping then patting Cade on the back. " simply beautiful, my lady"
Saerirra jumps a little in surprise from Uther's sudden hug. "Ah! Um...p-please don't wrinkle my dress." She smooothes her hands over her dress, whether she needs to or not.
"Thank you. Cade, Peshley and I worked really hard putting that together. We tried putting our best talents together to make something wonderful. But it seems that man wasn't a fan of Peshley's work. I liked it, though."
Soon after earning an audition for what seems like the"Talaveroth Idol", you resume your meeting with the General.
The Human woman, seemingly in her early thirties, is quite a sight in full attire. Her auburn hair is currently in a tight braid, and held by silver rings. Saerirra, and anyone who passes a DC 10 HISTORY CHECK notices a pendant holding her cape together, carved with an insignia of the Silver Dragon Clan, on top of the Mastandian, Alliance and dwarven Heraldry. Her face is beautiful, but bears the scars of what you assume is years of military conflict.
"Apologies, I failed to introduce myself the other day, but I was on Leave, and people dont recognize me as much here as they do back home. I like it that way. My name is Thanika Maeke. I am the Commander of the 2nd Mastandian Legion, stationed here with my soldiers until we have enough supplies to make it to Melassone. As you can see, these days, it's a little harder for me to step on a battlefield...(she points at her pregnant belly, covered in armor but clearly visible)...but that doesn't stop the war. And this war is a LOT closer than you might think. The Dwarves of the Granit Clan think they are impervious to any attacks, but they are so wrong...
I recieved a raven this morning from one of my informants who probably died seconds after he sent it. A band of Gnolls has attacked Turniptown, a very small settlement forty miles north of the City. Not just attacked...burnt to the ground, people taken captive, some...(she shrugged)...eaten alive....
My informant said they may be a rogue group of Gnolls, acting independently from a pack known as the Screaming Hunters...which worries me, because they are normally based hundreds of miles west of here, in the Westwoods...(she stares intensely at Peshley for a second, a sad and somber tone overcoming her face). They burnt down....(a single tear rolls down her scarred cheap)...the Pixie Tree..."
The sadness on her face vanishes within seconds, replaced with anger...
"I am extremely short on soldiers, and my Legion and I will be departing as soon as this meeting is over...the Granit Clan refuses to investigate, and the entire Alliance Army is currently busy liberating the Copper Clan Lands a hundred miles south....but these Gnolls must NOT be allowed to roam free and terrorize the people of this Country. They have suffered enough already...i need random Citizens of Talaveroth to stand up to this threat, and help each other....
She snaps her fingers, and a squire walks in, putting a 100Gp purse in front of everyone.
"If You can help with this, I shall always be in your debt. The Alliance shall always be in your debt....and I am one of its Generals...
Her hand reaches into her armor, and pulls out a small cardboard cylinder glued to a straight stick, with a wick coming out of it. She puts it on the table and slides it over to you...should you ever need an air evacuation, just light this and shoot it into the air. And remember, you have to be outside in the open."
Right as she finishes her sentence, two soldiers enter. "General, it's time..." She nodds, grabs her helmet and banner, and walks out of the extra-dimensional lounge, where she is greeted by a whole platoon of Knights, who seems to have "invaded" the tavern (except many of them are actually enjoying the Grand Re-Opening Party, taking shots as you all re-enter the main dining hall.
As soon as General Thanika reappears, a superior officer shouts "AtteeeeeeenTION!!!!", and they all stand hut, some of them slightly stumbling around.
She looks at them, shakes her head. Then turns her attention to you, and actually smiles for the first time since you've known her. She grabs a shot glass on the bar, and raises it to the Pcs. "To war, partying, and battling Giant Chicken Tavern Monsters!" She downs the shot, to the roaring cheers of her Men, and shouts "Now, Mastandians, lets fly !"
She makes her way to the newly built Grand Balcony, where a Giant Eagle has just landed, flapping its enormous wings as she mounts it.
The Eagle lets out a thunderous "CAAAAAAAW!", and flies away, as the other soldiers are mounting more Giant Eagles, diving off the balcony, plunging into the Crevasse, then resurfacing and soaring high into the sky....

History: 10
Peshley recognised the insignia immediately. Her father had traded with them regularly, providing food, blankets, uniforms, tents, whatever goods they needed. He often said that the family would starve if it wasn’t for the wars.
She listened intently to the request. If she could get in good with someone like Thanika, her father would be forced to acknowledge her skill...but gnolls? Weren’t they big slobbering beasts? The wagoners sometimes talked about them when they traveled in from distant ports. She thought she had seen a strong, hairy arm sticking out from under a wagon tarp as one of the trains returned to the warehouse.
The winery hit the table in front of her and immediately it was whisked out of site and into her belt pouch.
Cade was obviously shaken as the general left. ”This is it! This is our chance to be in the story.” Peshley bounced on her chair a little excited. “I mean,...we stopped a giant chicken building. We can deal with a few pesky gnolls.” The shake in her voice betrayed the confidence in her words. “We are going to do it, aren’t we?“

- I guess we are recruited then, - noted Laievis with just a hint of sarcasm in his voice watching general departing. - And we are to locate and exterminate a group of Gnolls of unknown size. Why does it always have to be extermination...
- Screaming Hunters... Kind of a showoff oxymoron for a name. I think I heard it before. Turniptown Tree is the last known location, and this is somewhere north of here? I am not sure I know the way there but someone around should, of course.

As he looked around making eye contact with the others. Cade, then Peshley, Laievis , as he reached Saerirra his features softened, he gave her a quick nod. He then picked up his drink and began to gulp it down.
"Well, technically, we did not stop the big chicken legged building, that drunken wizard who made it did. I don't think we really did much of anything to the building itself, but we did work very hard getting the patrons to safety. And.....yes, I do believe we were basically ordered to go to war.
