Cade - Pocketing the strange talking toy Cade beckons Baron to his side, "Come on boy, let's catch up to the others." They get to the tree and walk across the threshold and the feeling is a stark difference between where they where and where they are headed. It feels like a warm summer night, the lights are beautiful, and the sights are so strange in comparison to what had previously been seen. He notices another light near Peshley and it appears that her pony is glowing and he thinks, "Well...that's different.", he then walks up to the group and listens to what they are saying and asks, "I have a lantern should we want to use it, it may give us some insight on where we are going so that also so we can see ahead of us or do we want to have the element of surprise?". As he says this he reaches into his pocket and touches the figurine...he then hears Laiveis ask about the figurine to which he replies, "Oh...I think it might be a childs toy, kind of like how we found the bear in the cave, perhaps one of them is missing it and it will bring them comfort when we find them."
"Before bringing this element of surprise we need to know who and were we are going to surprise. Your lamp might help indeed."
If any kind of tracks are around and happen to follow the direction Uthar chose - guess, we are going after him. If tracks leading somewhere else - Laievis will call astray couple back, if all our rolls to find tracks (of any kind - broken branches, scratched mushrooms, and so on) failed, guess, any direction will do, but Laievis will consult with Peshley and Cade.
Cade - Pulling out his lantern will fill it with one of his flasks of oil and will use his tinder box to light it in order to see what is around them. He holds up the lantern to show the footprints on the ground in hopes that the others will be able to deduce where the gnolls and dwarves went and which way we should go.

Survival Roll: 13
OOC: it had initially said dice rolls were unavailable for this section which is why I did it again only for it to actually roll the first one so deleted the second going with the first as it was the the first one I had rolled...not sure what happened.

Survival: 12
Peshley hops up on Pony and gives her a nudge with her heels, heading after Uther. Hopefully he knows where he is going. She looks around at the odd flora and fauna. How am I supposed to know if any of this is dangerous, she wonders. Unsure of what is out there yet, Peshley keeps her familiar with her.
Thanks to Laeivis's elvish senses and Fey ancestry, our adventurers are able to pick up the Gnolls and Villagers footprints and follow them down a dark and bushy Trail, to a wide Canyon...
In the middle of the Canyon stands an old ruined Temple, illuminated by the Moon. Right outside the temple, there is a faint flickering of light in the distance...a campfire....with 2 Gnolls guarding it!
Cade hears more voices in his head..."Unleash your inner Power! Throw all your cares aside! Party like there's no tomorrow!"
"Meryn be praised, we found them!" Laievis was on a roll and hoped the luck will stay a bit longer. "Two here. If it's not their last destination, three gnolls are should be somewhere inside the ruins guarding prisoners. If we can destruct them or better still come closer to us - may be we can quietly apprehend both?"

"I could attempt to charm them, but if they attack me while I perform I will undoubtedly fail. I'm all for a divide and conquer strategy, though. Does anyone have any other ideas?"
Saerirra keeps eyes on the Gnolls while awaiting the group's replies, pulling out her flute and gripping it tightly.
"I may be able to help."Peshley stands up in her stirrups to get a better look."If I can hear a bit more of them speaking, I should be able to use one of my illusions to mimic their speech. Even if we can get one of them away to check, your charm could work wonders."

"That's true, but I could target both of them at the same time, not just one. Does your illusion only target one? I'm fine either way, not wanting to step on any toes. If I attempt to charm them, I just need a minute of them not attacking me. It is asking a lot for bloodthirsty savages, but if I can manage it, they will be in my thrall."
"The illusion will come from a particular area. Hopefully, both will go to investigate and see what is going on."Peshley thinks for a second. "Is there some way we can make it easier for you to get closer? What do you actually need for the spell to work? Do you need to be speaking to them directly, or do they just need to be in sight? I have never used a Charm spell before. It's fascinating. These two seem like they are having a bit to drink though. Maybe we could simply wait until they have had a few and then you can simply stroll up and use it on them?"

"Well they have to watch and listen to me perform for a full minute before I can attempt to charm them. If they are getting drunk that may make it easier to charm them and/or less likely to attack and interrupt me. But that is it. Just a minute of seeing and hearing me perform. I am not entirely sure what to do after I have charmed them. They may listen to my orders, but I do not speak Gnoll, or whatever means they use to communicate. But if you're confident your illusion can draw them both away, so much the better."
Cade - "Wait...(looking at Peshley and Saerrira) what if we snuffed out the campfire with Prestidigitation and have Uther and Laevius knock them out instead? Or if you like we can have that be a Plan B situation?"

"I like that plan too. I will go with whatever you all think is good. As long as we can get the remaining survivors out as quickly as possible, nothing else matters to me."
