Saerirra will Dash, if that's possible, just towards the army for 160ft of movement, and bonus Action of Shield of Faith on her eagle for +2 AC, total of 15.
With now having missed his first shots, the tortle once again turns his head toward the sky, grounds himself, and exhales. Inhaling, he pulls in energy and dark green, nearly black, energy lines draws towards him and wrap around the arrows in his quiver. He pulls out the first arrow, nocks it in his bow, takes aim at the eagle being ridden by Uther.
Attack: 8 Damage: 4
Attack: 15 Damage: 8
On first hit, trigger Colossus Slayer: extra damage 8
On first hit, trigger Hail of Thorns: Uther and his Eagle must succeed a Dex Save 12 or suffer 6 damage
(With that, I believe that Uther's eagle has been slain... 19 total damage on Uther's eagle from the volley at the start of round 3, plus an additional 22 damage from the tortle's expertly placed shot (assuming that no other AC bonuses have been given to Uther's eagle.))
(Ah, but the volleys are divided into two separate waves within each round - one occurring at initiative 19, the other at the end of each round, as per combat instructions given at the top of each round. In short, there are a lot more archers below than are firing for each wall of text...)
(First I have heard about two volleys in a turn, plus if that's true, shouldn't there be more volleys? Rounds 1 and 2 both each had one volley, why is it suddenly more?)
OOC: Yea I believe Uther's Eagle is down. And he is hoping for a miracle.
Uther and his eagle freefall helplessly, he tries to think of a way to save himself and his felled creature. He pulls out his rope and ties it to his crowbar, then looking at his surroundings, as the air whistles in his ear, he waits at the ready for an opportunity.
Okay, just got through this massive wall of posts lol. Lets recap, and crank up the Epicness a bit shall we? First off, everyone gains 1 INSPIRATION! Because you all deserve it, and will probably need it soon...
ROUND 3 RECAP (so far)
1)Saerrira moves 160 feet away with her Eagle, and casts Shield of Faith on her Eagle as a bonus action. New altitude/distance from the Red Dragonborn archers: 360 feet (she was at 200feet last round). As she ascends, she passes Uther, falling down with his unconscious, arrow-pierced Eagle, himself full of thorns...Saerrira may use her reaction and roll a Dex save DC20 to catch him before they both crash 230feet down...
2) The 5th volley is unleashed. Uther's Eagle starts plummeting 40 feet down, unconscious. New altitude 190 feet. The Red Dragonborn leader casts Hail of Thorns on Uther, who fails his Dex Save (ouch...). The Tortle unleashes 2 shots at Uther, but the arrows ricochet against his thick armor (luckily for him).
3)Laieivis casts Healing Word Lev3 on his Eagle as a bonus action and moves another 160 feet up, side by side with Peshley. New altitude for Laieivis and Peshley: 470 feet (they were at 310feet last round).
Peshley looks down and sees, amongst the first wave of Airforce reinforcements, a familiar looking purple-spotted unicorn pony, flying alongside the Eagles! They will start getting to your position next round
Before Cade can take his action, Ellethie, his Pixie wife who has been tagging along silently and invisibly this whole time, whispers in his ears "okay Honey, I'm busting out the big guns...this won't work on me, but you...well, lets see how this tuns out...". She utters a few words, and Suddenly, with a poof of pixie dust, Cade polymorphs into a Huge size Quetzalcoatlus! And NOW he may take his action. Gorlahk, flying next to Cade 550feet up, gasps at the Huge flying feathered Serpent...
As Uther is falling with his Eagle (who passed his 1st death save in free fall), he may try and jump onto Saerrira's Eagle, since she is the ONLY Character moving up towards him from below (Laeivis, Cade, Peshley and Gorlahk are all a couple hundred feet above, and moving upwards). Uther may use a full round action to roll an ATHLETICS or Acrobatics check DC20 to jump down onto Saerrira's Eagle in mid-air like a boss, as she's soaring upwards...
4) Team Evil will unleash the 6th volley.
IN OTHER WORDS:
1)Saerrira may roll DEX SAVE DC20 to catch Uther
2)Cade needs to take his turn as a Quetzalcoatlus, and Uther needs to roll ATHLETICS or ACROBATICS check DC20 to jump onto Saerrira's Eagle.
3)Then, and ONLY then, will the 6th volley be unleashed, after which Round 3 will be officially done.
Wow, talk about 18 seconds of pure Hell...so far...what a 1st Encounter...the battle is raging, as the skies of Talaveroth are blackened with arrows, and the Alliance Airforce is about to finally come to the rescue. Btw you all notice that the Alliance Eagles are holding big stone boulders in their talons...
Uther realizes that the crowbar and rope wont cut it. He whispers a prayer for his eagle and leaps to the side, arms wide ready to bear hug Saerrira's Eagle.
Seeing Uther begin plummeting towards the ground, she uses her reaction to cast Featherfall on him, then moves around underneath so he can safely float onto her eagle, then using whatever movement the eagle has left to Dash, if possible, towards the army.
(I did not have confidence in my rolling to hit a DC of 20. Lol)
OOC: Haha good choice I took the risk and it didn't go as planned.
Uther's heart felt like it was about to explode. He was filled with a mixture of fear, embarrassment, and anger. Yet when he softly landed on Saerrira's Eagle he couldn't help but smile. He looked at the heroine beside him and nodded in thanks. Lastly, Uther prayed for his eagle, in hopes that it was not dead and if unconscious she would wake up in time.
Saerirra will Dash, if that's possible, just towards the army for 160ft of movement, and bonus Action of Shield of Faith on her eagle for +2 AC, total of 15.
Saerirra will Dash towards the army as her main action and cast Shield of Faith on her eagle as her bonus action.
(Sorry for the double post, it didn't show the first as sent at first)

Uther attempts to dodge the hail of thorns, he yanks his Eagle's reins to the right.
Dex Save 2
He sheaths his weapons and continues to ascend another 160 feet (reaching 390 feet)

(I think it's my turn now, but i am waiting to see if smgkw confirms if he's falling or not.)
(I think before you go, there is another volley that will end round 3! Can't say that I'm sorry, being evil and all.)
(The volley began Round 3, from your own message above, so I would say no.)
(Ah, but the volleys are divided into two separate waves within each round - one occurring at initiative 19, the other at the end of each round, as per combat instructions given at the top of each round. In short, there are a lot more archers below than are firing for each wall of text...)

(Anybody got an idea about what a quetzalcoatlus would do?)
