Nemeia points over yonder. "That's where we came from if it help us figure out where we're going." Nemeia finds some humor in the odd sounds her feet make when she takes steps. Plop, plop.
Using her navigation skills from her time on the sea translates surprisingly well onto land where there are even more steady points of reference to take advantage of. While not perfect, Mary is able to get a fairly good idea of where they are relative to the town they came from. If nothing else she could probably figure out the way back to town, but it will prove helpful in finding the way to the mine.
Meanwhile Sora, the noticeably smaller human of the two, casually walks up to the massive snake body and, without effort, pushes it away with one hand in much the same way one would push open a well oiled doorway, all while offering the other hand to Moira in order to help her to her feet.
With the combined efforts of Nemeia, 9, and Mary, the party eventually manages to find the path that 9 spotted earlier.
"Thank you Sora! I thought we could try to haul this back to town when we're done at the mine. With the meat, the skin, the poison, and everything else to harvest it could be worth quite a lot. But it's a lot heavier than I thought." Think of the ease with which Sora had moved it. "For me at least."
Mary Smiles at Moria, "I agree getting that town, means a good ol'BBQ, I haven't had one yet since being ashore, and I really could use some smoked meats."

Witt sits down on the swampy ground, hard. That was... a very big snake. He looks up. Is everyone alright? Can I help anyone?
(It's a notoriously hard thing to remember, but for any skill check with no time pressure or other impediment, Witt will happily cast Guidance on you for an extra 1d4 on the check.)
Nemeia looks around. "I agree. We don't need another snake sneaking up on us while we're trying to sleep." Plop, Plop. "I'm ready for dry land. Swamps never were my favorite." Nemeia trudges along, ready to be back where it didn't feel like the ground was trying to eat her feat. She continues to stay close to 9 and does her best to keep an eye out for a mine "you can't miss". Had they really gone that far out of the way that they missed something that couldn't be missed?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"So what about the snake? Are we leaving it here? Taking it with? Not sure we wanna drag it around everywhere, but it a good bar-b-que sounds like fun." Sora spoke up as she saw the others starting to make their way back to what she assumed was the right path. She then looked back and forth at Mary and Moria for a bit before finally coming to a desicion, "Ah **** it, might as well give it a go." She reached her arms around the snake as best she could, trying to lift it and hopefully bring it along.
I think... we should leave the snake here, says Witt, very slowly clambering to his feet and very pointedly not helping to move the snake. He looks at Nemeia and nods. Swamps are terrible. Nothing grows, and everything wants to eat you.
Sora- You do manage to lift the snake's body but it's harder to hold onto then you imagined. Unlike simply pushing it on the ground, the long thick heavy body is significantly more unwieldy to manage. You might be able to drag it along, but it will become quickly exhausting.
Sora just drops the snake to the ground once she realizes this things is more trouble then its worth, "Nope, this was a bad idea. I agree with Witt, let's just leave and go deal with the goblins."
Nemeia looks back at the snake. "Can you butcher some of it now so it's easier to transport? I bet we could use some of the snakeskin too and fashion it into some rather nice items." Nemeia didn't mind working with raw materials like the snake skin. It was just another material that could be made into something amazing. She'd seen some rather nice uses for it back at home and wouldn't mind having a nice sized piece to experiment with.
”Hmm yeah. I should be able to do that.“ Moira tucks her wand away and pulls out a dagger. ”Sora do you think you could remove its head? Then we need to get it so I can cut down it’s belly.” Moira proceeds to direct the others how they can ?help? as she tries to skin a giant snake in the middle of the swamp.
Rolling a straight d20 as I’m not sure what all modifiers would apply or how my proficiency and tools would effect things. 20 another if I can get advantage from help 6 and a bless roll from Witt 2
Moira quickly begins making short work of the skinning process. Recalling the lessons she learned handling skins of various creatures that lived in the forest surrounding her home town, Moira's blade move quickly and efficiently through the snake's hide. Like a skilled painter deftly maneuvering their brush, her dagger soon frees the snake skin from the rest of its body.
At the head of the beast, Sora takes several whacks just behind the end of the skull. It takes several tries but soon she's able to completely bisect the head clean off the body.
Nemeia watches Moira in fascination. Nemeia's hands move in matching fashion as if she's trying to replicate motions. She's doing her best to understand the proper way to skin a snake and hopes to be able to replicate the process in the future. "Wow," she mutters at the process.
Witt the farmer's son has no direct experience with snakes, but some experience with slaughtering farm animals, so will help where he can. Not very enthusiastically, though, as he doesn't feel the need for snake parts in his life just now.
Working together you have little trouble skinning and butchering the snake. However you've all spent about an hour at this point dismantling the snake and getting your bearings.
Make a Survival or Medicine check to see how much you manage to pull of the beast.
Update: All combined you managed to pull out roughly 20 lbs. of snake meat and skin
