Hoyle moves through the woods, shadowing the strange goblins for an hour.
They gather in a clearing and you see a large ogre like creature with the same red tinged skin and two large horns coming from its forehead. A tail sweeps behind it erratically.
Huge two handed sword lays at its feet.
They speak a strange guttural language that has nothing to do with goblin. (infernal?)
Hoyle suddenly appears in the camp, slipping through the nearby foliage.
"Hey guys, you have gotta see what I found! I decided to shadow the goblins to find out where they were holding up. They led me to a small clearing, where other red goblins were gathering around a huge beast that looked live some kind of devil. He had the same red skin with horns coming out of his head and a long tail behind. Wanna see?", Hoyle says excitedly.
"I am keen. As long as everyone is also in we will need to take some time to clean up this camp. I am not sure it would be wise to stay the night here now after all."

((maybe a short rest then before heading over? Unless we're all just good to go...))
Kwisatz sees Hoyle return to explain what he saw, and then replies "Well that sounds ominous, though also in the purview of what we're here to investigate. I could likely write a paper about this when I get back to Waterdeep."He then starts to put his books away and calls Duncan (his write raven) down from the trees where he'd been watching, to feed him a morsel and continue "Are you all ready to go?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thinking, Kwisatz replies "Honestly... Not much... demonology isn't really my field of study, though that doesn't mean I'm not curious!" ((history with self imposed disadvantage b/c I don't think Kwiz would have studied much about this, but who knows what he would have found in his couple hundred years... 10))

"W, we still need to rest, what ever that thing is.... I think it was testing our abilities"

"Do you I mean I know nothing about it, I think we should quell our curiosities and move to the cave But we will need to get a rest closer to it or we will be exhausted"
Tait doesn't seem to like the idea of letting these things go unchallenged so close to his hometown, but believing the older, more experienced adventurers may have better insight than he, nods in acceptance of taking a rest.
(OOC: I am fine with a long rest here, or moving closer to the cave and then taking a rest.)

Yeah, I have been waiting for progress on that.
Sorry about that.

NP it is easy to miss a post.
Hoyle with gather his bearings, looking for landmarks that will make it easy to find this place again and then sneak back to his friends.
As Hoyle comes back the others companions are still at the camp waiting.
(It takes about two hours for Hoyle to go and come back )
OOC: The night is still young so you can have a short rest or long one.
ooc: Now that! Should give us some good role play if Hoyle explains to us what he saw.

(Could the people at camp already have had a short rest while waiting for Hoyle to return)
"Kwisatz? What do you know about creatures like Hoyle Described? Can you kill it? How?"

Probably yes.
Kwisat is a bit at a loose. He doesn't really know much about demons but it sounds like what Hoyle saw was more a possession like the goblins.
Joshua is intrigued, and is torn between safety and knowledge

"A devil this close to Red Larch! We have to take care of this," Tait says excitedly while standing up.
It will take about an hour to get there. But the clearing is still several hours away from your destination, the cave.
