"You're too kind, Guilliame," says Granny Naomi a little sternly. And then she gives him a smile. "But at least you're safe. That's the important thing."

She then holds up a small hessian sack and says, "I've got some Wytchwood. It'll need to be cleaned up, but I think it'll do the job." 

She points out a nearby stall and says, "They've got jartinal weed, let's go there first."

The two wander up to the stall where, among some more regular produce, there is a basket containing some bushy branches of jartinal weed.

Granny Naomi takes a small sample of the leafy weed and pops it into her mouth. She then passes a leaf to Guilliame and says, "Try it."

[OOC: If Guilliame is going to try it, make a Perception check. Less than 10 will be considered a failure]

The leaf has a bitter taste and Guilliame finds it very easy to follow Granny Naomi's example of spitting out the chewed leaf onto the ground. But even though he has tasted fresh jartinal weed before, he couldn't tell if this was any different from previous portions of leaf he has tried before.

"It's different to the batch we have at home," say Granny Naomi, who has obviously done this a lot.

"We'll take the whole basket please," she then says to the man who runs the stall.

She then hands over the Engle that Gulliame gave her previously and get 8 Constantines back in change.

"There you go, Guilliame," she says, indicating the basket. "It's nice to have someone else to do the carrying for a change."

Granny Naomi and Guilliame continue their way around the farmer's market with Guilliame keeping a look out.

Mainly on the watch out for further criminal activity, Guilliame follows Granny Naomi around the markets. However, it is his nose that picks up the smell of brimstone.

Following his nose, Guilliame leads Granny Naomi to where a man is kneeling on the ground next to a small hand cart laden with bottles and jars.

Being wise in the way of the world Guilliame rolls a:

Guilliame doesn't recognise this person, and it would seem that Granny Naomi doesn't know him either.

However, the hand cart that he is next to has a hand-painted sign on the side with the words "Alchemical Solutions" on it, so it would seem that he is the person to talk to about sulphur.

"Where do you normally source your brimstone, granny?"

Granny points to a place in the market where there are no stalls. "It's hard to find," she replies. "There's normally a stall over there with minerals brought down from Goth, but it looks like we've missed them today."

Then she points at the cart and adds, "Maybe this young man has some. There's yellow powder on the ground."

Guilliame looks where she is pointing and see the man has dropped a shallow box of small bottles and vials on the ground. The young man is currently picking up the pieces of one of bottle which has broken and spilled its yellow powdery contents.

(Sotto voce) "Do we need to buy it today. Maybe we should come back when your regular supplier is here."

Granny Naomi just shrugs and head off in a different direction where there is a man using ropes to secure furs to a small cart.

"Bart! Hold up!" she says to the man as she approaches. 

The man turns and gives her a gap-toothed grin. "Hello Mistress Naomi," he says. "You're here late today. You're normally one of my earliest customers."

Granny once more shrugs and says, "It be strange time, Master Bart. Strange times."

"And who might this be?" Bart asks, looking at Guilliame. "Well, if I'm not mistaken, it must be young master Guilliame. It has been a long time since I've seen you here... And I'm surprised to see you... You gran here tells me that you're a wizard now."

"I'm learning the arcane arts at the school. Still lots to master. How is business Master Bart?"

Bart turns and looks at the small cart he was packing and then says with a chuckle, "I still got furs on my cart, Master Guilliame, so business could be better."

He then turns to Granny Naomi and asks, "Are you still looking for bat fur?"

When she nods, he says, "Well, I don't just have the fur, I've got the whole animal, two of them in fact." 

He then reaches down inside the cart and pulls out a small hessian bag. "I found a cave where a flock of them sleeps. Something killed these two—old age perhaps—and I picked them up off the floor. There old and dry, but the fur's still on them. Will they do any good?"

He hands the bag to Granny Naomi who reaches in and fishes out the desiccated corpse of a small bat. She sniffs at it and wrinkles her nose and then plonks it on top of the basket of jartinal weed he is carrying.

"What do you think, Guilliame?" she asks.

As far as Guilliame is aware from his study, some spells require fur from specific animals. He doesn't know what spells bat fur is required for, but he does know it is used by wizards of greater power and experience than himself, and that a high price can be asked for the fur. These bat carcasses look old and desiccated, but their fur might still be usable, so it might be worth buying them in the chance that it will be sold.

"I am an amateur bat enthusiast in my spare time. I'd be willing to purchase them if the price is reasonable."

Bart considers for a moment and then says, "How about 3 lions for the pair?"

"That sounds a fair price to me. Thanks for doing business."

Hand over the money. Have a look over the cart to see if there is anything else of interest.
