[[ Do all doors open inwards, or do they have door handles on the corridor side? Thinking of roping opposite ones. Or other anchor points. ]]
[[All doors open into their respective rooms because the corridor is narrow. The door to the room with the bed and all the belongings in it cannot be closed because the bed is preventing it from being closed. Also, there are no opposite doors, the door to the room with the bed in it is in the centre of the corridor while the warded door is about one-third of the way along the opposite and the door to the washroom is at the far end. However, all doors have door handles on both sides and Brand could attach a rope to the wooden frame of the bed which, as mentioned previously, is angled across the doorway.]]
[[ If they have rope-able handles: ]]
Brand curses, and returns to the bathroom, sprinkles caltrops on the floor and cabinet, empties his oil flask and bearings on the floor, then shuts the door and ropes the handles of two opposite doors. Then does the mage hand trick on the corridor shutters, and gets ready to floats out (left hand) invisible (right hand), while listening to noises from above and below.
[[Brand can do most of what you want using the bed frame instead of the opposite door handle. However, all the above assumes he has come down off the roof and re-entered the washroom. I was operating under the impression he was remembering all these details and was still on the roof. Please make a Perception check as he does this.
Note: No hurry. I am about to go out to a family dinner thing so won't be able to respond for several hours.]]

[[ I think you are partially correct. He went outside, saw the scenario, and as soon as he realized it was Adzo, would have stopped fleeing to cover. Seeing the somewhat static scene with Melitta's forces outside he (and I) remembered the roof, and concluded it might be a two-pronged attack, or the people downstairs are just a distraction. He's now committed to an indoor action first, so he will head back and start whatever he needs. If there are noises from above, he will take one small extra action while he does his prep. ]]
Perception: 13
Edit: I failed arcana earlier...XP roll is correct: 14 ... wow ... guessing he don't got no idea, was there a spell somewhere?
[[For the record—and I know that where I placed the text was misleading, but so was your question about asking if Adzo was looking at the concentration of magic—Brand didn't realise it was Adzo until after he was in cover on the other side of the roof line and had time to think about it. You specifically had him move quickly up to the roof line because he hoped that, if what he had seen was an orb similar to what he saw with Madame Damass, that the operator might be focussed on the other action that was going on. It was only when he was behind cover that you asked if he had seen Adzo and I decided that Brand would be able to deduce that the concentration of magic was the Invisibility spell that Melitta cast on Adzo down in the kitchen; the creature itself being invisible, but the magic keeping it invisible being able to be seen through the special sight granted by the Stone of Unseeing. This is what happened and the only effect it has on play is a little bit of extra time has passed.]]
As Brand enters back in through the window of the washroom, he happens to catch sight of Melitta suddenly turning and looking in his direction, as if she is aware of what he is doing.
[[Unless you tell me otherwise, he can now do his trapping of the washroom. Please remove the caltrops, oil and silk rope from Brand's equipment list.]]
[[And now it is after midnight. Ciao.]]

[[ Fair 'nuff -- I probably fell foul of my own over-editing, and my misreading of the object as not behind Melitta but floating between us. Happy that Brand erred on the side of extreme caution. Also happy that Adzo is small and he might just not have properly resolved it until he was looking more closely (I had assumed it was an invisibility spell she cast, so I probably should have said something). ]]
As Brand catches sight of Melitta, he points to the neighbours garden then up to the roof, wait a moment for any response. If Melitta doesn't wave him off, he then disappears inside and quickly goes about his work. [[ Caltrops, oil, rope and bearingsremoved/updated.]]
When complete, he loiters at the open corridor window, stealthily listening and watching.
Stopping just inside the window, Brand gestures to the neighbour's garden and then up to the roof, but gets no response from Melitta. He then goes about quickly setting his trap in the washroom. As he does so he can hear noises from the building next door, faint crashes and shouting.
[[Brand is now in the corridor, but the shutters here are not open. It was the window in the washroom that he opened. Also, make a Perception check.]]

Using his stones in the same manner as he did before, Brand opens the latch of the corridor window and then opens the shutters. As last time, whatever spell is in place across the window does not seem to be affected by the Stone of Far Reaching's power, not does it affect that use of that power.
Brand switches stones and is about to approach the window when the concentration of magic that he believes is Adzo enters the corridor through the window, speeding towards him.

Brand looks out the window to see what he can see, then listens for the sound of people or movement inside or outside.
Brand looks out the window, but can no longer see anyone in the back yard of this house. There is a single person carrying a lit torch in the back yard of the neighbour's house who seems to be on high alert and watching the neighbour's house intently. There are also still sounds coming from the neighbour's house, but they are no longer as loud or violent sounding. He can hear no sounds coming from above.

Brand floats out the window, back in the bathroom, then up into the roof, far enough to hear any sounds like those he heard before if they are still present.
Using his hands to pull himself along, Brand passes out through the corridor window and in through the window of the washroom. He then levitates up to and through the tight opening of the still-open hatch in the ceiling of the washroom.
Now in the ceiling space, the first thing he notices is that there is no longer any lantern light coming through the rectangular opening in the wall. However, the roof space on the other side of the hole does seem to be lighter than the space he is in now.
At least it was.
As Brand is watching, the patch of lighter darkness disappears, as if someone closed a door.
