DuCrae, half-elf Bard (College of Glamor at level 3)
Occupation - (Troubador/Charlatan)
DuCrae is vain, rash and strangely charming. His recent adventures mostly involve products and services which ultimately did not really deliver on the promises made by the tall dark and handsome salesman, with his face getting more and more recognised he has decided to spend a little time anywhere else. Not really someone to stand in the thick of the fight DuCrae would hate to get his new cloak messy, but if you need some encouragement, or even the odd spell or two he is your half elf. His tendency to pocket things which look interesting but don't belong to him will probably not be a cause for concern...
I'm fine with any start level, regular contributor will be able to post daily.
I was raised by a priest from infancy after my birth left my mother ostracized and shamed. The priest raised me into the priesthood, and I’ve spent much of my time as a traveling preacher, attempting to reach out to those who - like me- are often overlooked or ignored by society due to the circumstances of birth. If there’s one place I thought might be able to reach such folks, it’s amongst adventurers. No where will you find more orphans, outsiders or weirdos. I’m determined to protect them in the dangers of their life, and lead them out of darkness into the light of the gods’ embrace. I care only that they find the faith and community they deserve.
How long have you been doing this occupation: 10+ years
What you have done before this: Mainly worked independently, but also sometimes as support to small groups who needed someone quick and quiet.
What it means:
Occupation: Rogue, Criminal background
How long have you been doing this occupation: Level 5
What you have done before this: Opal Fire has been a thief for most of his adult life. He has generally abhorred the idea of the 9-to-5 job. Ironically, he is not a petty thief, so the planning and time he puts into doing a job correctly is equal to that of a legal career. But he enjoys his lifestyle, so the time is not such an imposition. His plan is to one day not need to be a thief anymore. He just needs to acquire enough fortune to support his retirement. Opal only steals from those who have excess they can spare (the rich) or who have ill-gotten gains (other thieves). He's not a Robin Hood character, stealing from the rich to give to the poor — unless you consider Opal poor — but he doesn't take from those who need what they have. He doesn't want to leave the Sword Coast, and the longer he works the area, the harder it is to remain outside of the scrutiny of the law, so he's decided to try out the Company of the Dragon. He's hoping he'll enjoy using his gifts in a more legitimate enterprise. He's willing to try it out, at least.
(I'll use point buy instead) Name / Race: Gralmore Battlegore (Gray Dwarf) Class: Cleric / Forge Domain Background: Acolyte Backstory:
Hailing from the clan of Battlegore, an unyielding believer of Laduguer. Their beliefs consists of acquiring wealth and power. Gralmore accidentally discovered that their clan leader and advisors are enslaved by the drow when their clan's wealth were suspiciously dwindling without reason. He decided to go to the surface and acquire enough strength to eliminate the drow community and release his clan from their clutches.
Background: raised in a travelling circus Damrius never knew who his parents were, all he knows is that the Ringmaster Avren took him in and raised him. Now he is an adult and has left the circus for now to find the answers behind the strange voice he hears and maybe find out who his parents are
Background: Nobility (Born as a bastard, he was neglected by his family before it's fall from grace. He looks to earn wealth and find a way back to the nobility that has discarded him)
A middle aged man approaches the table. His scale mail has seen better days and his mace has clearly been well used in combat. He has the bearing of the nobility but clearly not the funds. He looks more like a man discarded from the table than one who eats at it regularly. He could be looking to earn enough to restore his name, or perhaps there is no where else for him to go. The holy symbol at his waist marks him as a Cleric. He writes out his information quickly and heads to a chair to sit and wait.
Larry has spent the last year honing his skills in the Arena...meeting exciting new people and spreading the word of the Darklord....and now realizes it is time to leave and spread the good word.
Adopted by the Nice Guys off the streets where he learned of the Dreadlord* and how to spread his mighty word. Larry believes the Darklord is simply misunderstood because he demands sacrifice. However if you only sacrifice EVIL** beings, than you are doing good right? He doesn't understand why everyone gets so uptight about serving the darkone. He hates Devils and their cults and hunts them remorsefully.
*The Dreadlord or Dark Lord / the Darkone / Lord of All That Swims in Darkness. / The Sibilant beast / The Deep Father / Master of the Spiraling Depths is how Larry refers to the Deomogorgon, praise be his name. Never say his real name out loud. Only whisper it, and never three times.

Qa is from the Storm Horns. Here he grew up in a tribe that had come from the Elemental Plane generations before and had taken up residence in the mountains near Cormyr. As a youth, his tribe had been attacked by a large green dragon, destroying there home and killing most of the members of the tribe. Those that survived scattered, looking for refuge from the beast. None of the survivors knew why, after generations of relative peace, the dragon had turned on them. Qa sought answers in devotion to the god Talos. Seeking his answers in the wind and thunder. Listening for clues in the rain and the storm. His devotion has brought him closer to his god but has not yet brought him closer to an understanding of what happened to his people.
Level: doesn’t matter will start at any level, I played this character before in an irl game and miss him because he met his match, so happily play at any level.

Karshaq grew up with his twin brother in a small village home of only Dragonborn where strength was the most important thing and everything else was second best. He was gifted with genes that made his muscles grow and his brain small...ish. But his brother was smart but frail and his parents did not care for him. Karshaq cared dearly for his brother and once they were old enough he left his family behind.
They both started working for hire as mercenaries fighting together. His brother began to get sick and fell ill now Karshaq does all he can to get money and keep his brother alive as his only goal. He never cared for money himself except for coppers which were shiny and he was allowed to give to children who needed them, but his brother taught him in this world you needed gold.
(Would like to play a large Ravnica race and i know centaur isnt easy to place. Can choose Minotaur/Loxodon but they would be another class that have been listed a lot already)
Class: Ranger
Level: Does not matter to me, if higher then level 3 i would like to know what the party looks like to match my role in the party (which would normally play out in first levels).
Background:
Zogri was born in a desert wasteland. Here he lived with his family who are nomadic by nature, searching the land for suitable area's to stay. This tribe is largely made up of centaurs who love to roam the desert and grasslands. Travel was constant and so were the dangers that come with it. Sometimes the tribe had to deal with harsh times without much food or water. Often the tribe was met with hostile natives of the area. These dangers cost many lives over the years and some of the tribe wanted change, to seek a safer way of life. But the chieftan, an honorable veteran, refused. Stuck the old ways he would not leave the plains where they had lived for so long. Some rebelled against it but in the end all would still follow the chieftan and the elders that backed him.
In secret some of the younger centaurs would speak of a new way once they were chieftan. A new beginning that was needed for the tribes survial. Among these young was Zogri. They made a pact, they would leave the tribe in search for a new home. A safer land where they could thrive once more, like the stories of old. One night was agreed upon to leave and Zogri saw some of his kin depart. He then did the same in another direction. Zogri did not wait to see how many others left. He knew it was the tribes best chance.
Travelling for many days Zogri would live of the land as best he could. He encountered a few open plains in his travels, but none without great danger. He decided to get to know the locals of some towns to learn what they know and how they might help him. He worked as a hunter and tracker in some towns but also took some jobs and a messenger. Some jobs he worked for coin, others for information. Zogri learned to make allies this way and saw this as a way to build towards a new home. His tribe would need to much space to not have to deal with town and settlements, so he would need them to become his allies.
Spending time working and travelling within the civilizations he was not always met with friendly faces, after all he was a centaur. Some would not deal with him or even be hostile. Not everyone was like this but he needed a way to be accepted more. Zogri did hear stories of people that were respected and not of the common races. They were renowned for great deeds and power. That became Zogri's goal, he would become more powerfull and become the champion his tribe needed. Better than others of his tribe and claim the respect he deserved.
Zogri heard of the Company of the Dragon and how heroes worked for them. And so he set of towards their HQ in hopes to make powerfull alliances and become a champion himself.
Class: Druid (Circle of Wildfire) (I'm hoping UA content is okay)
Level: Have him set to level 3, can increase or decrease as necessary. Would at least like to remain at a level where I can Wild Shape, but it is not a deal-breaker.
Background:
As a young Halfling, Marlo would run from home in search of adventure often, considered a free spirit by his village. On one such excursion, he was discovered by a human Druid, of the Circle of Wildfire, who found him dancing in joy at the sight of a bush he had lit aflame. Seeing potential in this reckless but promising boy, the Druid took Marlo with her, to learn in the ways and beliefs of a Wildfire Druid. Marlo took to the teachings and ideology like butter to bread, a natural fit. He was but a teen when he followed his Druid mentor, a woman in her fourties. It has been twenty years since then. Marlo is now thirty-four, and his mentor has recently passed, as the natural order of things dictates. Upon her death, the lightfoot decided to once again walk free, in search of adventure, only now fulfilling his duty as a Wildfire Druid during his travels. Upon hearing about the Company of the Dragon, Marlo decided that it sounded simply smashing. The prospect of new travelling companions, adventure that would further hone his skills as a Druid, and no doubt many forests to burn along the way was all too great to pass up.
Marlo's personality could be described...split. In regular conversation, he is mild-mannered and friendly, to practically all creatures. His upbeat and cheery disposition in these moments creates a powerful contrast with the manic, wide-eyed loony who is presented with the chance to set a forest aflame, or an enemy to himself and his friends for him to burn.

A young adventurer wends his way through crowd, trying to take everything in without looking like a tourist. He finally makes it to the desk and listens politely as he's given his options. "I'll let you do the writing," he opts. "I'm sure your handwriting is better than mine." He hesitates, then adds. "Actually, my handwriting is excellent, I would just rather you assume I'm illiterate." He looks stunned at the admission; he clearly hadn't intended to be so open. The irresistible urge to be honest that he feels in this place is unfamiliar and somewhat disturbing; nevertheless, he presses on.
"I'm Zubin. Zubin Chase. I'm a..a half-elf." He shifts his feet uncomfortably. "I'm...well, I'm a bit of a charlatan. A rogue. A sweet-talker." He gives a lopsided smile. "A con artist. And I do mean artist. Though, to be honest, this is the first time I've tested my abilities abroad, so I guess I'm a beginner after all. But I'm a quick learner; I'm sure I can advance quickly, when pressed."
He slips his pack to the floor and makes himself more comfortable. "And I've been pressed most of my life. My father was an adventurer. My mother was...an adventurer's friend," he euphemizes. "I spent my childhood pretending to be someone else. Someone not a half-whatever. Someone with two parents. Someone whose mother could say 'no'." He grimaces at the admission, clearly unused to such openness. "So when my mother and...well, just about the whole neighborhood died in the plague a couple of decades back, I picked up a sword and left Neverwinter to become someone else. And I'm good at it," he boasts. "I can talk myself into and out of trouble with ease. And when I can't...well, a good blade or two can speak for themselves.
"So there it is," he concludes. "I hope I can be of use. I'll be around; let me know what you think." He hefts he pack and turns to depart, resisting the urge to lift a purse or two, and disappears into the crowd.
I’ll post a couple of characters, in case one fits better. I can play daily, and don’t mind what level. I’ve used UA subclasses here, but happy to switch if UA isn’t allowed
Name: Rik
Race: summer Eladrin
Occupation: Bard (college of Eloquence), courtier
Backstory: A very minor member of the Summer Court, Rik always felt he was destined for greater things, and that the attention his poetry garnered was far insufficient for his prodigious skill. His loud discontent with the lack of appreciation eventually reached the ears of the Queen, who promptly packed him off to a particularly grey and rainy part of the material realm - for inspiration, she said. It’s been an experience - they don’t appreciate his poetry any better here, and express their lack of culture loudly - and lacking any useful direction, he’s approached the Company. Perhaps his skills will be of use here.
Stats: Ability scores: 151414171615
Name: Ad’wraek-na
Race: Githzerai
Occupation: Far Traveller Monk (way of the Astral Self)
Backstory: Ad-na has been sent into the Material Plane by the Anarchs of Shra’kt’lor in order to seek out rumours regarding Mindflayers and Githyanki activity. Making their way up from Port Nyanzaru, via Athkatla and Baldur’s Gate, to Waterdeep, three things have become obvious: firstly, jobbing adventurers find far more mindflayer activity than ever reaches the gossip of the cities, that even the most inauspicious lead can result in success in their mission, and thirdly - that the material world smells foul and that mud gets everywhere.
Occupation: Fugitive ; formerly a Weapons Quality Tester
Class: Rogue 2, War Mage 3
Stats (point buy): STR 8, DEX 15, CON 14, INT 16, WIS 12, CHA 10
Backstory: Ellya started life on the streets after her parents were killed in an apparently random mining accident. She spent years of her life alternating between being a pick-pocket and being a card shark. At one point, she tried to steal from a wizard who put caught her in the act. However, instead of turning her in, which would have led to execution, the wizard gave her a second chance. She became his messenger and, through sponsorship by the wizard, became enrolled in a field weapons quality control program run by the kingdom. Due to the nature of field combat and her stature, she was given assignments related to experimental magical items, some of quite dubious value. This meant she needed to know some things about the practice of magic, which is how she became a Wizard as well as a Rogue. When she appears at the Adventurer's Recruitment Center, she has been on the run from the authorities of her own kingdom for a month, having absconded with power converter of some sort to a much more complex war machine. Ellya does not want to go back to thievery at this point, but she is getting desperate having spent her last gold piece 3 days ago.

The job turned into a career and after thirty years of service, he was forced to retire. The old cleric was always steadfast in his duty to protect its citizens but newer and younger members of the watch didn't agree with the "old" mans ways. At the age of 48, The retired member of the city watch found himself unemployeed and looking for a purpose.. looking for someone to protect once more.
Class: Wizard (any level is fine but currently set at 1, will go into War Wizard specialization)
Race: High Elf
Background: Mercenary Veteran
Bio: Barinthus belonged to a rare elven family that possessed multiple children of similar ages and was thus raised in a relatively competitive environment. As his parents were both mages he grew up mostly focusing on magical studies but when given free time he would also put in significant effort towards martial studies and learning how to best fuse the study of arcana and the martial way together. While bladesingers had created a method to accomplish this Barinthus disfavored their flourishes and sought for more pragmatic approaches that would fit him better. Having struggled in this he, upon reaching adulthood, chose to leave his Elven community and work with a multi-racial mercenary group called the Cobalt Falcons to try and take lessons from the other races on how to achieve his desires.

I used point buy to allocate ability scores.
Name: Marlo Barrowbear
Race: Lightfoot Halfling

Summary: Zubin Chase, half-elf rogue (1), charlatan background (looking toward a swashbuckler type)
I’ll post a couple of characters, in case one fits better. I can play daily, and don’t mind what level. I’ve used UA subclasses here, but happy to switch if UA isn’t allowed
Name: Ellya Morinne
Race: Rock Gnome

Name: Barinthus
