Arell scrambles to his feet, watching with dismay as he sees Elyse's face vanish under the surface of whatever it is that scrambled out of the pit. He gives a quick nod of thanks to Fingolin, then screams an incantation to summon his Lord's power to fuel his anger against this creature. He pulls out his axe and takes a low swipe at the thing, hoping Elyse is far enough below the surface to avoid getting hit.
"What do you think?" he asks. "Shall we try to take it with us? I don't want to leave it here to perish. The little thing will almost definitely starve."

Solomon retrieves his dagger from the belly of the beast, and cleans the blood off it on its fur, before sheathing it at his side. He rises to his feet, and studies the creature for a second, along with its reaction to Fouder's approach.
"It appears to have an affinity for you; it may well try to follow us when we move on, so you may not have a choice. Give it a little of your food to assuage your conscience, and let it decide."
The half-elf summons Skink to him, and again commands it to rove ahead of the pair. "Shall we continue north?"

Fouder nods in agreement, reaching within his pack to offer a little of his rations to the little bear.

Fingolin and Tennanaz unleash their spells. Somehow even though this amorphous blob of necrotic funk doesn’t communicate or understand language grumbles slightly as it’s feeling are hurt by Fingolin’s words. Apparently it’s unaffected by the loud ringing of Ten’s spell. Arell slices his axe blade through the creature, it’s form splashed as it’s cuts and lands on Arell causing 2 acid damage. After Arell’s strike the large blob now splits into two smaller forms. Elyse still stuck inside the force of the quicksand, but now half exposed as she is restrained. She’s gasps for air with a deep breath followed by a loud “WHAT THE ****?!”
(permanent -1 to Arell’s attack with that axe)
elyse takes 9 acid damage at the start of her turn.
Elyse tried to escape the gunk: 21 vs blob A8
The two other elves launch their spells at each of the two blobs. One uses magic missile against blob A for 11 force damage as it slams against the monster.
The second elf uses [spell]sacred flame[/roll] against blob B: Pass DC 15 or take 1 radiant damage. 17
Reginald takes the dodge action as he is guarding the egg.

(Previous post added acid damage to Elyse’s turn)
Blob A: continues it’s attack against Arell as it slurps forward sizzling and dissolving the dirt and brush in its path. It slams its body against Arell’s - Attack: 18 Damage: 8 , on a hit he also takes 8 acid damage.
Blob B: Blob B undulates towards Tennanaz and throws itself toward the tiefling. Attack: 20 Damage: 6 , on a hit he also takes 20 acid damage.
Solomon and Fouder: The bear accepts your treat, but as you continue to move on it stays behind. You accept its choice and continue through the woods. Only to find a few minutes later it is beginning to catch up and follow you now. (Nice roll Solomon). As you trek through the forest, you see a dig out hole of black muck splattered about in seeping piles as it sizzles and erodes the ground beneath it. Avoiding the area you make your way through the bushes and follow along. Solomon you notice something strange in the area, a different smell. It has been smelling of dry pollen and distant ash. You begin to get aromas of honeysuckle and humid wet forest floor. You stop and adjust your eyes as you see a bizarre spectacle. Almost imperceptible to the eye, but somehow you looks at just the right time. You, Fouder, and the bear were about to walk into what looks like a portal. But not so much as a portal, but a forest within a forest. Something (even the dm) would call incomparable to anything else you have seen. It makes you almost sick to look at for too long. It’s hard to keep things straight when looking through two realms at once. You motion for the others to stop.

Arell lets out a curse as he feels the acid burn, then another as he sees the blob split in two after his attack, each moving individually. With a grimace he does not waste thought, simply slipping the axe back on his belt as he starts kicking, punching and slapping the thing.

Solomon's right hand shoots up as he signals for Fouder to stop. "This... this is not right, an aberration. Look Fouder, do you see this second path, 'under' the road, if you will?" The scholar in the knight surfaces, and he bends down to pick up a few small rocks. He begins tossing the rocks at the new path ahead of them, then the original 'above it', then back at the new path.
Fingolin puts as much distance as he can between him and the blobs, shouting "Fight at range, they shouldn't be able to keep up with us." As he backs away, he starts playing his lute and you see his form begin to glow with an aura that did not seem to touch anything around him. His eyes were burning gold and his hair was floating unaffected by gravity or the inertia of movement. It makes you think that victory is closer and you feel invigorated.
As the song ends, the wondrous vision ends too, Fingolin makes an arc with his hand and says "Mae golau etheraidd yn datgelu eu siâp."

Arell takes acid damage from each of his strokes against the blob: 113 He loses concentration after the first hit.
The faerie fire sprinkles over the blobs as the gold dust lights up the black ooze of the creatures. Tennanaz shoots his bolts at the monster (blob b) as the bolts slip into the form, it’s enough damage and the blob looses its Consistency and form splashing into a puddle on the ground. Tennanaz’s bolts are destroyed on impact.
Arell slams his fists into the quicksand monetary splashing acid onto his arms and legs with each blow. Quicksand monster is having a hard time keeping its corporeal form, but hangs in there.
It begins chasing after the party to retaliate, but is entirely too slow and can’t keep up. Party’s initiative
Fouder, the bear follows you eagerly and stops when you command it. Licking and nibbling at your fingertips for more treats as it waits. Solomon as your familiar runs into the new forest, you can still see your weasel through the portal. Your telepathic connection however is completely severed. skunk looks back to you for a moment before it looks around. Knowing what you know of you find familiar, you know that for Skink to be within normal range and not be able to connect, would mean you’re on different planes of existence. You’ve heard stories of areas deep in the woods where the barriers between the prime material plane and the feywild are thin.
(I didn’t tell you what Skink sees, cause he can’t tell you yet)
Fouder passes another piece of the same ration to the bear, wishing he could be savouring this moment of connection with another living being rather than contemplating his fate in this way. Elyse's description of the place had not brought this to mind. This is not something he can understand.
"What is it?" he asks Solomon, watching Skink look around. "What does he see?"
