He does take a closer look at the halfing woman who answers the door, trying to see if she seems like an honest farmer-sort, or someone who might be harboring a secret concerning the bandits that Gniff mentioned.

Branch perception check (also looking for anything out of the ordinary) : 18 Branch breathes in the farm air feeling much more comfortable in a setting that feels a little more comfortable to him. He finds himself standing towards the back of his group mainly just observing the conversation, keeping his eyes out for anything odd as he absentmindedly spins a tiny flame around his finger

@ Gniff, you do not see any animals as you approached the farm but there was definitely evidence of some being there. Qelline: (to the party) "The bandits! Thankfully they haven't appeared this close to the city. Heard? Who's been saying we know something about the bandits?" (OOC: Reminder Carp Alderleaf was the one who supposedly knows where the base is.)

I can tell you this now, i don't know anything about the red brand bandits. If you want to stick around you can help me with my work or at the very least let me get back to it."

You can see a little boy peeking from behind a corner in the house. Qelline turns towards Edmond. Qelline: (to the party) "It was probably about a week ago but it seemed like the city was in an uproar late at night. I thought that was pretty strange." (OOC: Referring to Hati getting the city guard on high alert.)

(OOC: @ everyone, what do you do next. [DM's comment, i'm not sure if i make every NPC encounter to hard or if its just the way the group interacts with NPCs, but i find this very funny.])

„D-Do you know a Carp Alderleaf?“ Gerrack asks, oblivious. He‘s still not quite certain they‘re at the Alderleaf farm, but the woman seems nice enough, even if she hadn‘t stated her name. Perhaps they were in the wrong place and she could give them directions, Gerrack thinks.
"Yes, we are looking for Carp." Misty puts in. "We were told he might have some information about the bandits, that could help us locate their hideout."

Qelline: (to the party) "Carp is my son. I am Qelline Alderleaf and this is my farm. Is that what this is about, did carp get into some trouble?"
"Yes, we are looking for Carp." Misty puts in. "We were told he might have some information about the bandits, that could help us locate their hideout."
Qelline: (to the house) "Carp get over here, now!"
Carp races up to Qelline. Carp: (to Qelline) "Yes mama." Qelline: (to Carp) "These strangers say you know about the bandits." Carp: (to Qelline) "Me and some friends were playing in the triboar trail and i saw something." Qelline: (to Carp) "You went out that far! and its dangerous in those woods these days! You are in big trouble." Carp: (to Qelline) "Sorry mama. But me and my friends saw them, those scary bandit guys. Theres a secret tunnel and an old abandon big house."

Turning back to Qelline and Carp, "Thank you so much Miss and you to little one. Listen, the boy was nothing if not helpful to us so try and go easy on him. As soon as my friends and I are back, would it be okay with you if I returned to help out some around the farm? I am a good hand with animals and pretty good with a hoe, if you ask my ma."
Gerrack nods at Gniff and says to Qelline "T-thank you for the i-information. I-If we h-have anything to s-say about it, y-your boy C-carp will have just h-helped us m-make those w-woods a b-bit safer for e-everyone."
To the others, he says "S-Sildar wanted to come with us, and the guards w-wanted to know the l-location of that b-base. S-should we s-scout ahead to find it and be s-sure, or r-return to t-t-town to f-fetch any of them to j-join us?"
Having been quiet and listening to the interactions, “Gimble pipes in with a simple “Yes.” And turns to begin to walk back down the path with a look of determination on his face.
“I’d like to come back later to help you out nice lady!” Branch turns his attention to his friends “I could be helpful in scouting. I can turn into squirrels and wolves and what not. I wouldn’t hate taking an hour to regather a bit of my power however”
"Can you tell us where to find this big house and the secret tunnel?" misty asks the boy.
Carp gives the party directions to the general area where the two locations are. the location of the secret tunnel, and the location of the abandoned mansion. Both locations Carp and his friends spotted red brand bandits hanging out by and going in and out of those locations.

Qelline: (to the party) "Thank you, Gniff." she turns towards carp. "I am glad you were able to help these kind strangers, but you shouldn't be playing so far away from the house, especially now with how dangerous things are."
Qelline and Carp say their good byes to the party as you all leave the farm.

"Just as well stop and see about this retired adventurer." Misty says as they finish up at the farm. "Sound good to everyone else?"
"Oh, I am all for it! We can maybe even grab whatever the orchard grows for some extra eats," Gniff says happily.
