So @Dragondenn, we should probably work some stuff out for ourselves.
Tenra is a halfling in her prime, on a journey of discovery after realising her upbringing wasn't really her thing. She was brought up by a monastery, but has a yearning to go exploring. She goes by "Blackclaw" as her left arm is covered in black scales up to the elbow. She seems to kinda like having a nickname, enjoying having a little bit of uniqueness. Her main focus of the journey is to find out why she has the black claw, but is easily distracted by all the wonders of the world outside of a sheltered upbringing.
Morgan left his people after helping a group of adventurers escape the pens. He saw nobility among the adventurers and could not bear to leave them as slaves. Do to his betrayal he can never return home. When he left his people he took his father's spell book with him, his father having died years before this.
He is a soft-spoken, calm and collected, hobgoblin. He has decided to see more of the world and met up with a halfling who seemed to be exploring as well. Always willing to lend an ear, and hear other's stories, he soon found himself and the halfling traveling together.
Morgan would be working as a guard for caravans, or maybe, when in a city for a bit, as a bouncer for a tavern. Any place his fighter skills would lend a hand, but allow him to see more of the world. He also has a keen mind (high int) so would be good at investigation and other int-based things.
So it sounds like we're going to be a double act of passive/calm and energetic/excited. Hope Morgan's going to enjoy having an immature woman-child bouncing around!
If they come in as caravan guards, be sure that Tenra is asking about all the ins and outs as she's never travelled with a caravan before, only seen the ones that collect the brew the monastery made, and occasionally dropped off spare supplies like more hemp or cloth for use in making clothes and bedding.
I am really liking these threads tying everyone together. It seems like everyone has a pretty good idea for how they would like to bring these characters to life. Several of us have mentioned the idea of being guards on a caravan. That could be a pretty strong starting point for us if that works for the Dungeon Master. It definitely could work in introducing us all, and providing a common goal.
I’ve already mentioned this to several people in PMs, but I haven’t had the chance to post yet. I have family stuff going on right now, so i’ll be back on and ready to answer questions and stuff hopefully by December 10. We’ll determine the start date then.
So whilst we're awaiting the turn of the month, any of the players wanna do a little bit of an AMA for their characters? Basically, ask a question, then the next person answers what their character would think/respond to it.
For example, question of "what is your favourite colour"? Ravetha would reply "Green".
Question: What method would you use to fight an incoming orc attack?
Sorry, thought we were having evryone answer the questions, then do another...
Question: On a downtime day what will your character be doing?
Morgan: Researching something probably.
Nah, its someone post, the next person answers that question the asks a new one. I'll not answer this one to give someone else a chance to answer and ask something first.
Nabhitha: Most likely either watching people come and go inside the nearest tavern to note any regular patterns or sitting in her lodging drafting her next letter to her younger sister.
Question: If your character saw some kind of minor crime taking place in a public setting, how would they respond, if at all?
Question: If your character saw some kind of minor crime taking place in a public setting, how would they respond, if at all?
Tenra: depends if she knows its a minor crime. She's not wholly caught up on everyone's cultures as she had a sheltered upbringing. However, if it was an obvious crime, she'd go over an attempt to stop them, probably trying more force than is allowed (as again, she's still not sure about that stuff, and acid hurts).
Question: You found yourself waking up in a jail cell. You have your belongings, but there's no sign of help coming. What's your plan to escape?

Esedus would call loudly for the guard and demand his release, assuming that this is some sort of mistake and trusting in his position as paladin and his persuasive manner to secure his immediate release. If this wasn't effective his strength and sword would force his way out of the obviously unlawful imprisonment.
Question: how would your character celebrate a big achievement?
Zanilin would celebrate not by getting drunk but by ordering a lavish meal. Something he couldnt normaly. If he had the coin he'd buy the ingredients himself and cook for those celebrating with him.
Question: You find yourself in the presence of a demon trying to strike a bargain. He offers a path to power but requests a favor from you to be determined later. What do you do?
Nah, he just has his hands on a mystical weapon, that may ask him or coerce him to do things.
Concerns (justified or otherwise) aside, I think we have a solid start on our hands!

Morgan:
Color: gray
Orc attack: He holds up his long sword, figuring enough said.
Now it's your turn to ask a question!

Tenra: What type of power? Is it something that'll help with my working stuff out about myself? Is so, sure! Sounds like fun, and I made a new friend!
Question: You walking in the woods, there's monsters around and your party is dead. What is your plan?
Current Player In: The Guild as Elsara Deepmoon
Morgan - Kill all of the monsters himself, then carry his companions back to a temple to be brought back to life.
Question: What is the most significant feature of your character.
