Born in a brothel in a border city in the northwest, Song grew up on the streets, running with gangs of similar latchkey children. She joined the thieves guild as an enforcer and became friends with Syldor Gensalor, a dissolute Elven student of illusion wizardry, who taught her sleight of hand and con tricks, and who spotted her own magical talent. She trusted Syldor, as a friend.
Syldor used Song to entrap and extort a high-profile priest without giving her all the details, particularly the detail that he expected her to get caught.
The whole scheme went badly wrong, with Song's draconic heritage coming to the fore with an uncontrolled lightning storm. In the aftermath, Syldor tried to poison her, intending to betray her (again) to the Watch. Song turned the tables on him, stealing his wand, forging letters and planting evidence in Syldor's squat, before feeding information to the Watch and the Thieves Guild. He is in jail until the Guild can reach him and deal with his apparent betrayal.
Song is keen for the guild to not find out that she framed Syldor, and is looking to get out of the city, to let the heat die down, avoid guild-specific trouble, and maybe even start to understand her sorcery. Hopefully, either the Guild or the Headsman will have dealt with Syldor before she gets back.
While I am no stranger to Play by Post, this will be my first time here on Beyond. I do hope this character can join the fun.
Name: Gniff Rightway
Race: Lightfoot Halfling
Class: Paladin
Stats: 14 16 12 8 12 14 (27 point buy)
Backstory: Gniff was one of those "outdoorsy" kids growing up. He spent his childhood days running throughout the forest boundaries of his home in the west. While he turned in to quite the proficient hunter, his heart always pulled him towards other pursuits. He would stand up to bullies, give away his last piece of bread and he especially had a distaste for poachers.
He became a sort of unofficial game warden in his teen years, driving off those who sought to reap rewards from the land rather than live in harmony with it. He soon developed that wanderlust that speaks to all Halflings and packed up his belongings and sought the road. He has since taken an oath to the Ancients of the world to protect the land.
Kai, his most common identity, moves through life like a ghost. He's spent the last several years of his life honing the art of assassination. Among those in the Assassin's Guild, he's small time. His biggest hindrance is still having a sense of morals and ideals. So his biggest marks could mostly be considered vigilante work. Bandits that "stopped coming around" and the like. This small time status is about to change though. He's gotten wind of a blade that may or may not be cursed. Whomever wields it has the potential of becoming the greatest assassin of all time and that is just the glory he is seeking. (I like the idea of "finding" the Hexblade that is part of the Warlock pact of the character. So this would be something developed in play instead of thing that he just starts with.)
During a raid on a centaur village in the feywild by a coven of very powerful hags and their followers they had gathered, Orval's parents escaped into the nearby woods and teleported via a family heirloom of a six sided magical cube(cubic gate), they decided to teleport to the safest plane that was on the cube, which of course was the image depicting the material plane. The Cube randomly teleported them to the mountains and near a dwarven settlement. Upon their arrival, the Dwarves of the mountain region immediately shunned them away because of their xenophobia, after travelling a few days, Orval's parents encountered a somewhat large gnomish settlement. The Gnomes quickly accepted them and taught them the trades of tinkering and some smithing, the centaurs did quite well in smithing because of their strength, they also adapted cavalry roles in the gnomish settlement. After settling down, his parents started a large family, consisting of 1 daughter and 3 sons. One of the sons was named Orval. Orval quickly learned the art of smithing and learned some combat techniques, he also became a faithful follower of Flandal Steelskin, the gnomish god of smithing. After his maturity, he decided to set out to see the world for himself and started his adventuring career.
The Silent Peak Clan is famous for it‘s Shadow hunters. Legendary rangers who protect the Silent Peaks. Normaly the clan is very secluded, but once every 20 years, young clan members leave the mountain as a rite of passage. To hone their skills, learn new skills and to earn fame and honor.

Nax was born in the forest Western Kingdom, but he quickly found that the perceptive nature of the elves didn't lend well to his trickery. In fact, when an elven wizard named Sariel Cithreth realized he was attempting to swindle her out of a few magical items, he was forced to flee to the Southern kingdom with only her Cloak of Billowing to show for his hard work. Luckily, city life in the south suits him better, and Sariel doesn't seem to be concerned with him so long as he stays away. Now he can be whoever he wants, or at least, whoever people will believe him to be...

Name - Morgan
Race - Earth genasi
Class - Monk (Way of Shadow)
Stats: 111413121615
Backstory: Morgan was abandoned on the streets of a large city. Most people ignored the baby, thinking him to be some weird rock. When he turned over and people realised he was a child, people ran to get the guards but before they arrived he was taken in by a local organized crime gang member by the name of ‘Crax’ who took him in and raised him to be his ward. Somewhere in between. Morgan became a bruiser, guarding the hideout and taking care of any contracts that had gone awry, but mainly stuck around the hideout. One day they simply vanished without any trace and Morgan was left wondering what became of his family, and decided to take on more traditional bounties.
Idk if you're still taking entries but I'd like to try anyway :)

Name: Gral the Demon
Race: Minotaur
Class: Barbarian (Path of Wild Soul)
Background: Outlander
Ability scores:141517111016
Backstory: Gral's tribe roamed the rocky steppes, hunting wyverns for tools and sustenance. They were a small tribe, but proud and fierce. Everything was going a planned during their first summer hunt. The wyvern, the largest they had seen in years, was crippled and grounded. As Gral surrounded the bellowing reptile with his tribe's hunters, a figure descended from the sky. Strange glowing orbs circled his head, and his robes shimmered in the summer light. He hovered above the scene and gestured - flaming rocks started raining the sky, exploding everywhere. The wyvern was incinerated, along with the hunters. As Gral lost conciousness, he watched the strange figure descend and calmly gesture. Something invisible began removing parts of the wyvern - teeth, eyes, heart - and placing them into a floating chest.
Gral awoke sometime later, the smell of burnt hair and flesh in the air. Wolves had found the kill, and were devouring what was left. Gral's flesh and fur were severly burned, but he could not allow his kin's bodies to be eaten. He flew into a rage. Strange magics swirled around him, striking the wolves and giving him strength. Gral took the wolves' and wyvern's bones to cover his scarred flesh. He now wanders the world, seeking revenge for his tribe.
