As the fog rolls in, obscuring Rixton'sability to investigate the horses, he stands up with a frustrated sigh. "I appreciate theatrics as much as the next fellow, but was this strictly necessary for the purposes of interrogating a bugbear?"
He listens for the bugbear and the direction it chooses to flee, following it until Rixtonis out of the fog himself.
Alone in the fog with the corpse of the first bugbear, Kai kneels and gives it a quick check to see if it has anything useful on it. Letters, symbols/sigils of a tribe...equipment and money. He'll do so quietly as to not give away his presence to any other creatures in the area.
Kravek will release the bugbear saying Call off your allies or more shall die today. Not being able to see much in the fog Kravek will take his shield off his back again just in case.
He will also try to see if the bugbear still has hostile intentions to the group (insight check 13).

"DON'T COME DON'T ATTACK THEY LET ME GO DON'T!"
the other bugbears are now so close you can hear them shout back in goblin, "LET HIM GO LET HIM GO!"
The bugbear chief in your arms isn't resisting, he seems to want to live.

Seeing that the bugbear chief does not flee, Rixton instead diverts his attention towards the chanting in a tongue he doesn't understand. He will move through the fog towards the voices but not leave the fog.
The Bugbear takes off into the woods the direction you all heard more bugbear. The trampling footsteps of several bugbears get quieter and quieter until you cannot hear them anymore. Before you are two merchant wagons, four dead bodies and four dead horses.

Olive finds 10x bottoles of common wine (2 gp) in one of the wagons. Then immediately loses interest as she unloads the case of bottles. The others search through and find a bit more.
It appears the two wagons were traveling with one another. One seemed to be a general goods store that hadn't been raided yet. The other a magic scroll shop wagon with most of the scrolls missing and torn apart and empty containers. Between the two wagons you all find:
2200 cp, 800 sp, 60 gp, 3pp Chrysoprase (50 gp), 2 x Citrine (50 gp), Jasper (50 gp), Moonstone (50 gp), 2 x Onyx (50 gp), 1 bound script of tragic plays (25 gp), 1 collected writings of a controversial druid (25 gp), 1 book of dwaren children stories (2 gp),
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kravek will also look through the wagons noticing the lack of scrolls in the (half) empty containers. He will check out the bodies to see if they died by bugbear weapons or something else (other weapons/magic). As he is checking the bodies a bug flies into Kraveks eye and he stumbles back a few steps before getting a good look.
(i gues a medicine check for checking how the wagon people died 21)
Then turns still rubbing his eye trying to find Rixton.
Rixton, this wagon would have carried more scrolls then this, you said you liked a good mystery right? The bugbears did not seem to carry or have need for scrolls.
The wounds on the merchants are both created from blunt trauma and piercing weapons... It probably was the bugbears but checking over the bodies doesn't immediately tell you anything.

Palisade will move to look through a bit as well, having to grab Malizath by the tail to stop him from grabbing anything that he should not have. "If we need to store the items most should fit in my Bag of Holding."
Rixtonapproaches the scroll merchant's wagon and examines the ground around the wagon, the scroll containers, torn scrolls, and the wagon itself for clues as to whether or not there was another party involved, separate from the bugbears. As he works, he talks.
"We must devise a way to divide up any adventuring spoils," he says. "Pool it into a singular account for party business to be divided as needed in periodic payments. Or...divide it and track individually. As we go, as it were."
"The other thing that springs to mind," he says as he traces his fingers through a possible foot print to test the softness of the soil. "Is that we are total novices as a team. Kai and I developed a bit of a pattern for part of that fight, but the haphazard way we threw about magic and attacks was, frankly, embarrassing."
His attention is drawn to the cargo and he loses the train of his ramblings. Investigation: 19

Kallak will just wait for anything to approach them in the fog...
Olive sighs, "Oh, HE is RUUKAZ.."
She presses her face close to his, "If I ever see you or your friends again, I will cook you alive!" and then turns and vanishes into the fog.
She sends a mental note to others, "He seems too stupid to be useful..."
Palisade will move to follow the others, having Malizath go forward to scout for him, using his part invocation to see through the eyes of the imp.

Rixton says, "Can someone take care of this fog?"
Olive throws up her arms, "FINE!" and finishes concentrating on it.
She then stomps up to the wagons and starts looking specifically for booze.
"She loves her fog," Rixton says as he approaches the scene and investigates: 9
