Narion, now fighting in close combat used 'Stone's Endurance' to endure the skeleton's attack. (Reaction: Narion ignores 15 damage from the last attack)
Narion shrugs off the blow, pinning the skeleton's scimatar to the stairwell wall with his arm. The heroes hear a weak whisper from Wil, nearly doubled over in pain, and the skeleton attacking him begins to shake its head wildly. Its bones tremble as it drops its scimitar to grab its skull in both bony hands, and turns to flee. Valik destroys the undead with a jab to the skull with his quarterstaff; it falls to the ground, a pile of bones.
The frost-rimed skeleton pulls its scimitar free as Narion readies to attack...
Tyrros walks over and offers Wil a hand. "Be that as it may, we've got no time to stop. There are others fighting and dying as we speak. As soon as you're able, we should move."
"So, up the stairs or through the door?" Texas asks as he walks over to the skeletons to see if any of their skulls are intact; if there is one he will take it.

"Well, how about this idea then." Texas says while reaching into a belt pouch and pulling out a silver coin. "If we can't decide on a direction, we just flip a coin for it. Sound good to everyone?"

After a coin flip, the heroes decide on the tunnel on the right, which opens into a another small cave about 15 x 15 ft., with a tunnel at the western end leading onward:
The sound of dripping water grows more rapid here. Drops hit the ground so frequently, it’s almost as if the stalactites are creating a light rain. In the north wall, there’s an opening 10 feet above the ground big enough for a crouched human to the north.
Seeing the opening Wil turns to Narion "Not sure if you will fit through that little gap unless you crawl but i can still check it out if you guys want, but i'll need a boost to get up there. "
Wil puts a foot in Narion's hand and lightly springs up to grasp the ledge; his hands slap against the wet cave surface and he's just unable to hang on and slides down. His buoyant attitude is unperturbed, until the stalactite above him plummets from above, headed directly for him!

Wil scrambles out of the way as the stalactite comes crashing down toward Narion; in mid-drop the stalactite morphs into a gray blob of ooze that slashes out with a pseudopod at Narion but misses.
