Forjar arrives in the tavern and immediately heads to the bar. "One ale please, for the road dust."The dwarf lays down 4 copper pieces in a line, not waiting to hear what the price will be and clearly communicating what he believes a fair price will be.
Sitting on the stool is a dwarf in heavy but new chain mail. At first glance the chainmail seems to be iron or steel, but in the right light it shimmers with a kind of inner fire that communicates a more than mundane nature. His red hair is pressed down under a large round helm, and on his back is a shield with the emblazoned symbol of a crossed hammer and tongs.A chain hangs from his belt with the same emblem on a pendant of some kind. On the other side of his belt weighs a heavy warhammer. The parts of his chin that are not covered by his beard show a ruddy olive complexion of a man that has spent much of his life around forge fires. The red beard is thick, but to anyone that is deeply familiar with dwarves it is clear that it just shorter and slightly thinner than that of a mature adult. You would guess this man to be in his mid-to-late 40s, just coming into manhood by dwarven standards; and perhaps a little surprising to see out of a clan den and so far from dwarven lands.
Having finished his ale, Forjar makes his way over to view the job board, reviewing the retrieval request before giving a once over to the two that have already volunteered.
Forjar muttered under his breath, [dwarvish]"Reforge the bonds that have been broken he said. Can he really have meant for me to work with the likes of a goblinoid?"[/dwarvish]
With a sigh, Forjar loosens his hammer in its strap."If you are travelling into the demonlands you will need deific protections to travel with you. I will offer my services to this expedition on behalf of the Sovereign of Forge and Flame."
Forjar is treated to the same analytical gaze from Hari as Axon, with absolutely no change in expression as he switches to Dwarvish. She gives the briefest of snorts when he mentions deific protections, but merely nods and introduces herself with a brief word. "Hari."
Axon looked to Forjar briefly, quickly looking at the quality of his armor and armaments, then looked back to the tavern, "Three more travelling companions needed"
"Forjar, Journeyman Acolyte of Onatar." As Forjar meets eyes with the hobgoblin woman, he feels a brief swelling of the centuries old blood feud. He admonishes himself to keep his features calm though as he addresses her.
"I have heard tell of your kind and mine working towards a common goal in the past, albeit rarely. I am willing to watch your back so long as you watch mine." He stretches his arm up, offering a handshake to demonstrate peaceful intentions to the much taller woman.

The hobgoblin eyes him for a moment, then nods, taking the dwarf's hand in a firm grip and shaking it. "I have never heard such tales, but I doubt my...former clan would have told them. I will watch your back as well, so long as you don't try to convert me." Her tone holds just a touch of humor, difficult to discern below her gruffness, but there.
After searching Rusty is able to find the Tavern recommended to him to find work, he hopes to find a group less degenerate than the group he encountered last time. As he opens the door he sees a Dwarf talking with a Hobgoblin and a massive Warforged. While not rare, he has not experienced many warforged since his recovery, this warforged is impressive with his scarlet hued armor vs the hodge-podge of mismatched metal of his own epidermis, it is times like this that Rusty would like the option of terminating his employ with Rulard one more time.
Rusty sees the board and calculates the opportunity to destroy demons and devils will aid him in his quest to redeem himself from his past sins. He approaches the receptionist, I will undertake the endeavor to eradicate demonic entities and recover the requested mineral for the biological entity Clara Frennan. Where do I report for this enterprise?
Rusty stands patiently waiting for a response. From behind with his hood covering his head he would appear to be a thin Dwarf or a tall Halfling unlike many situations where he attempts to obscure his identity, the presence of another Warforged puts him at ease, and he removes his hood.
"Two more traveling Companions needed" Axon said in acknowledgement of the newly arrived Warforged. Unlike the others he approaches this one however, "I am Axon"
A tall man walks in with heavy armor on. He has a massive sword strapped to his back. A cloak hides most of his features. He pays an employee at the counter for a room. He returns shortly in a simple plain outfit with a lute. He is a half-elf with black hair and icy blue eyes. He introduces himself as Garrick and he is pleased to find a place to rest for awhile.
Garrick starts playing his lute and plays a boisterous song about adventuring and the friendships you make along the way. He plays some more for a few hours and drinks some ale. After awhile he will head over to board and sees if there is any work to be done.
Honored for your acquaintance. My nomenclature that I have been designated is Rusty, this was an attempt at humor by my late master. Along with the nomenclature he also saddled me with what he referred to as upgrades. I calculate that between the alterations and damage I have sustained, I am around 54-61% of my original configuration. You appear to be in peak form and it is impressive, is this your original configuration or did you discover an actual artificer that is capable of working on a Warforged?
Pardon me for the circuitous dialoge, but in my 3 years I have known to be activated, you are the first Warforged I have engaged.
Hari turns as the newcomer comes over, studying him with the same analytical gaze that everyone else has gotten. "Two in less than ten minutes...warforged," she says softly to herself. "Interesting."
Pulling down her hood as she enters she head to the job listing to check over any new ones seeing the scouting missions she moves to the clerk. "I would like to offer my assistance with the fiendfall scouting expedition"
Pardon for any misunderstanding. I have been altered from my original configuration, my particular vernacular and dialect is not the standard for our kind, and this is another of my former master's jokes. I still perform at an efficiency superior to most biologicals but to a substandard for our kind, there are many that could attest to my efficiency, including my former master Rulard, if they could speak. My history is ambiguous even to me since my resurrection 3 years ago, with multiple states of inactivity. From what little research I have conducted I surmised that only a skilled artificer was able to rehabilitate a Warforged to standard form. If you are capable when we have time I would embrace being restored to my standard configuration. I assure you my current configuration will not hinder our mission.
Rusty is pleased to think of being complete, something he has no memory of ever being.
Rusty turns to his new companions I am Rusty, I am an accomplished recpmmpiterer specializing in covert infiltration and neutralization. You will be honored to accompany a dyad of Warforged into the upcoming assignments.
Hari examines Rusty for a moment with her piercing gaze, then nods. "Hari," the hobgoblin introduces herself before adding a thought. "Never seen something like you...well, either of you," she amends, nodding at Axom, "before. You're called warforged?"
As the rest of the group interacts with the automatons, Forjar heads over to the half-elf examining the job board. He indicates with a thick mailed finger the job into the demon lands the others have already enlisted for.
[Elvish]"We need one more for this job. That was some nice armor you came in with, you look like you could handle yourself in a fight, and it has been since my early years that I have fought alongside an elf. What do you say, want to join us?"[/Elvish]
(OOC: As a matter of clarity, Forjar is addressing Garrick.)
(Correction: I did not pick elvish as a language, just thought I did. Retconning to have been in common.)
Axon looks down at Liliana's hand and then softly envelopes it in his so as to not hurt her. "Axon" his attention then turns back to Rusty and Hari, "That name is the designation of our species"

Axon looks to Rusty with what could be interpreted as a serious look, but then how would you tell with a Warforged?
"I maintain my form. If you are damaged I could assist in repairing you. We need to be strong for the coming mission"
