Encouraged by the previous success of that simple tactic, Al-Ashari repeated the sequance: Compulsion (Wis 18) - up the stairs, away from the group //it is still reachable for any melee, right?// then lvl 3 Mind Thrust (UA) (Int 18) for 8 to each cloaker.
Few things here... You cannot cast a bonus action spell and another leveled spell in the same round. Second, the Compulsion spell uses your bonus action to give the commands on which direction to move, thus you have to decide which bonus action you wish to use. Though you have to first decide if you are casting mind thrust or compulsion, since you cannot cast both this round regardless.

Kale Wis save: 13
Boar Wis save: 17
Kale's Turn:
As his action Kale uses Vicious Mockery to say to the cloaker Whitegaze hit: "You call yourself a cloaker? You're too tatty and moth-eaten to pass as one!"
WIS 18 save, if fails, then 7 psychic damage.
Kale then uses Universal Speech as a bonus action on both of the cloakers, and says to them: "Why are you fighting us? You should be fighting one another for dominance in this household. There can be only one of you, right? The other one is going to have to go, or you'll never have peace!"
Persuasion with advantage: 35
If the injured cloaker is still alive, the boar will gore it. If it isn't, it will gore the remaining cloaker.
Standard boar tusk attack: Attack: 8 Damage: 8
Plus possible boar charge?: (if it has to move 20 feet to hit the cloaker, add an extra 11 slashing damage and make a DC13 strength saving throw or be knocked prone.)

The cloakers appear to be taken aback by Kale's words, pausing in their attack.
The stairs are only 5 feet wide, so there is no room for the boar to get past Whitegaze to attack.
Soveliss, I will give you till Monday at noon to post your initiative and action for the first round, otherwise I'll have to say you were not in this combat.

Fighting was almost fun! At least for someone, who have never done it before and did not have to actually engage in close combat or anyhow touch the enemy. Al-Ashari whispered a word and made a gesture toward both cratures: [Tooltip Not Found] Int 18 save, or failed one gets 8 damage and can use its action only to Dash or Disengage on its next turn.

"Creatures of darkness... probably don't like sunlight very much, do they," Kale muses. He then points at his driftglobe, which is either still held aloft in Al-Ashari's mage hand, or if not, should be slowly floating its way back towards him despite the surrounding chaos and begins to sing.
"At the first sight I felt the energy of sun rays! So shine bright tonight! You're beautiful, like a diamond in the sky - Shine bright like a diamond, Shine bright like a diamond!"
His voice carries across to the driftglobe, which suddenly flares to life in a brilliant 60' radius of extremely bright daylight.
Kale uses his bonus action to say to Whitegaze, "Keep chopping away and holding them at bay!"while giving the warrior a thumbs-up with a huge grin, using his words to give Whitegaze some Bardic Inspiration(1d10 to any ability check, attack roll, or saving throw within the next 10 minutes).
The boar, after trying to fit up the stairs and finding it can't, roars in such frustration that the sound carries up the stairs to the cloakers. It is a roar that promises death and other nasty things should they attempt to come back down the stairs and enter the house.
Cloaker 1 saves against Al-Ashari's spell, the other does not.
Whitegaze, slashes cloaker 1 as it moves away, then he moves up and cuts it down with three solid blows.
Kale causes his globe to flare into Daylight. He then inspires Whitegaze and his boar tries to intimdate the remaining cloaker.
Soveliss takes the dodge action.
Top of initiative...
The remaining cloaker, not given any orders by Al-Ashari this round turns and follows the dictates of the mind thrust spell, fleeing from combat. It moves up towards the top of the stairs.

Shrugging, Kale decides that he should probably help Whitegaze out a little more than he is. Drawing his crossbow out, he takes aim and fires a bolt at the cloaker Whitegaze is fighting.
Attack: 12 Damage: 6
Sneak attack because of Whitegaze! 3
The boar continues pawing the ground and grunting in the background, waiting impatiently at the foot of the stairs.

Kale is the one who looks the most surprised when the cloaker dies from his lone bolt. "... I'll buy you an ale to make up for that?" he says to Whitegaze as he toes the corpse a little, searching for anything of value in it.
Investigation: 22
He then peers up at the trapdoor in the ceiling. "I don't suppose one of our resident mages could determine if there's any sort of magical trap or ward on that door up there, could they?"
He makes a cursory check all the same, for physical traps of any sort:
"I am afraid I can not help with that," shook her head Al-Ashari, "but I can open that door with the spectral hand. It might save us from immediate danger, though, I would advise you to step down first."

The cloaker, now on the upper landing, and with no where else to go, quivers in the corner as Al-Ashari's spells hammer into it.
Whitegaze moves up and pounds the creature with three quick strikes.
Kale adds in with a crossbow bolt of his own.
The cloaker falls to the crossbow bolt as it pinns the creature to the wall.
Combat is over.
AS you gather after the battle you find that there are no doors on the upper landing. A closer look though reveals a trapdoor in the ceiling.
