I am looking for two or three players to add to may existing Lost Mines of Phandelver adventure. The plan is to run you through one or two of the quests from Dragon of Icespire Peak, before you join in with the main adventure.
To apply:
Please create a lvl 2 character. Point buy or standard array plus one ASI or Feat.
You may choose any race, but civilized Forgotten Realms races will have an advantage to be picked.
You can chose any Class including UA, but i reserve the right to adjust UA content on the flight.
You can create the character sheet after i pick you.
Include why you are in Phandalin, are you a local, a travaling adventurer, a merchant, are you trying to hide from someone?
Hi i'd like to join your adventure with Benak a deep gnome conjuration wizard.
Spending all his life in the underdark, he just recently left the dark realms below out of curiosity for the World he heard stories about, but never really believed in. He came to Phandalin by chance because it was just the closest town to where he came to the surface and the distant lights of the town he saw in his first night attracted him.
I will Fill you in on the feat/asi and Post a link to the character she et shortly.
Otrov Malo is a halfling rogue from Port Llast; a sharpshooter (feat) with a criminal past. She is on the run for a crime that she actually didn't commit (this time). She stowed away on a merchant caravan on its way to Neverwinter when it was attacked. Hiding under a false floorboard, Malo woke to desecrated and destroyed bodies of the merchants and their horses. Taking anything of value she could find, she made her way safely along the edge of Neverwinter wood. She was lucky to run into a couple of rangers who were on their way to Phandalin to self some wolf pelts. Accompanying the rangers, she has made it to the town proper.
Relgalyn has spent the last decade in search of the universal harmony, the music that underlies all of creation. He believed knowledge of this harmony would let him become the best bard ever. Unfortunately, all he found was a way to disrupt the harmony, not quite what he was looking for, but some useful effects. He has not given up on his search, but has decided that the life of a hermit is too boring and its time to return to society, a quick stop at Phandalin, then off to wherever life takes him.
Plan is to play him a little different than most bards. Not exclusively, but I’d like to focus on having him play discordant music to disrupt things, eg bane and similar effects will be his focus.
Dain Ironfist worked in his family's business, crafting and selling those crafts. Finding he was more of a scholar than the rest of his family, Dain traveled to Waterdeep, where he studied at Blackstaff Tower for a while. he has made multiple trips to Candlekeep, but has recently returned back to the North. His studies have told him something of interest can be found in the area around Phandalin, so he has traveled there to seek it out. He hopes to set up a small shop there, selling crafts to add to his income as he searches the area for this item.
The existing party has a Barbarian, a fighter, a priest, and a wizard/sorcerer.
Well Dain is a sort of jack-of-all-trades being an artificer at level 1. He can use thieve's tools, cast healing spells, cast offensive spells, etc. My plan is to take him into abjuration wizard, and have him as an up-front fighter, using Armor of Agathys and the abjuration Ward to keep him up and deal damage to others by just letting them hit him. He will also have booming blade and other spells to add to damage as we progress.
Hello there, from a fellow person recruiting for the LMoP!
I was looking to join with a High Elf Rogue (looking to be an Arcane Trickster) named Sylmeris Dal'thien with the Actor feat, which sounds like it could lead to some interesting RP moments!
Sylmeris finds herself in Phandalin after performing all over the Sword Coast, after escaping Waterdeep with just her flute and wits after attempt uproot the corrupt elite she so despises. After laying low for a spell, she resurfaces doing what she loves, doing it well, and doing it for the common people...
As Kront'al crested the ridge Phandalin came into view. Never having seen the place he had no expectations of it and was not disappointed. Yet for all that it was a welcome sight, having been on the road many days, an outcast from his monastery for being 'underhanded' as his teacher put it. Kront'al merely thought what he did was to be successful, though he might have stretched a rule or two, on occasion. The head of the monastery had told Kront'al that if he proved himself worthy he could return and all would be forgiven. But the voices Kront'al heard convinced him otherwise and he had no intention of returning, driven as he was by a darkness unspeakable. The only solace he had ever been able to find was through ki, and so he set himself on a solitary journey to become a master of it - and the darkness that spoke to him promised to aid him in his quest, in return for a small favor now and again.
Kront'al is man of average build, of sallow complexion with roughly cut, almost hacked off, black hair. His countenance is expressionless and grim, due to the bleak, haunted look in his eyes he does not seem very approachable. Commonly dress in simple clothes he wears a backpack, a pouch on a rope belt and seems to carry only a staff, though other weapons could be concealed on his person. An age-polished red iron pendant hangs round his neck that is truly disturbing, depicting a contorted two-headed monstrosity that appears to be consuming itself.
Well looking at your groups composition i'd like to propise another character.
Darvin Oaks, a halfling ranger (intended to be a gloom stalker).
His family was part of a group of traveling acrobats and entertainers where he and his brother were throwing knifes and doing Trick shots with bows. One day, the caravan of the group was assaulted by giant Rainers and most of them were killed. With no family left, Darvin traveled the wilderness above and below ground trying to stay in the shadows and slay viscious beast and bandits alike, to spare as many people as possible from the Terrors he had to suffer. When he was traveling east ward towards Waterdeep, he heard rumors that "something big" is happening in a nearby town called Phandalin. He heard stories about Hufe wealth and great danger. Darvin doesn't care about riches, but the stories got him curious and he made his way to Phandalin partly because he thought that there might be people in need of help, partly just because he wanted to see what was behind the rumors.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Definitely interested...I have not looked at the party comp at all, so I don't know if this would fit...But I have been wanting to play a Teifling ShadowSorcerer/Warlock. Essentially she gets all of her powers from her demonic pop-pop. But she wants to be good, it's just hard.
For the second level do we roll for HP? If so I will do that now.

Here is my sheet, should you pick me:

DM - And In The Darkness, Rot: The Sunless Citadel
DM - Our Little Lives Kept In Equipoise: Curse of Strahd
DM - Misprize Thou Not These Shadows That Belong: The Lost Mines of Phandelver
PC - Azzure - Tyranny of Dragons
Definitely interested, I will make a character shortly, but figured I’d ask what the party already had or needed?

Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
I will ,leave this one open for another 20 hours before i make my decision.
Also, i usually got a busy scheduled at work and i am a new DM so things can be slow from time to time.
