Flutter pushes himself up from the ground after pulling the bolt from his shoulder. A drop of blood rolls down to the tip of the bolt and drips on to the dirt as he tosses it to the side. He clutches his wound with one hand, and bringing his claw up in front of him, producing a ball of flame in the other. He hurls it forward at the last standing attacker in an attempt to finish this.
In a turn of a head, the bandit saw his fellow friends fall at the hands of a hodgepodge group that looked to be easy picking. Welling up with regret and fear, he turns to flee only for his shoulder to be hit by a blast of flame! Letting out a full cry for his life, the bandit sees an opportunity to scamper away into the forest, his rustling fading to nothing.
Leaving you all a bit ruffled, but the sights and sounds of a fine sunny afternoon on a forest path settles back in...
Aldreric lets out a disappointing sigh, as he watches the bandit flee in terror. “We could have resolved this differently!” He shouted after the bandit, not caring whether the bandit actually heard him, but more for the sake of just saying it.
Aldreric looks down at the bandit he had run through with his rapier. Using the corpse’s attire to wipe the blood from the sword, he replaces it through the belt on his side. “Well let’s see if you have anything worth saving from the weather and other highwaymen.” Starting with the dead bandit in front of him, Aldreric begins to Search the bodies, looking for anything of use or value.
After killing the bandits Rou will toss the bodies to the side of the road. “If you’re done pillaging the dead let’s move on. Bird keep your head down and rest in the wagon.” Rou will keep his eyes open on the road.

With the road cleared, the cattle pulling the cart seem relatively unmoved by the fighting, and you are quick to continue towards Phandelin.
There is an interlude where the clouds pass over, the sun slowly shifts in the sky. The road and the weather is ideal, helping the remaining tension caused by the bandits to ease off.
Roukeeps a vigilant watch with a focus only earned through practice and experience. Over a small hill, Rouis the first to notice a startling scene; slaughtered, two horses. Crude arrows dotting the animals bodies. It isn't exactly clear where they came from; thick flora creep onto the path and arrows are dotted all over...

Kharnyl shakes his head and launches into a somber lecture about the others pocketing the stolen coins, something about acting like a band of murder hobos. He places his share in the alms box he carries and holds it out for the other to do likewise.
Aldreric resumes his comfortable position in the wagon, in which he was resting, prior to the encounter, leaning comfortably, his hat covering his eyes to rest. Upon Kharnyl’s urging the remainder of the party to place their cut within the alms box, Aldreric had only lifted the brim long enough to see, before once again replacing its position.
”Sir, Even if I actually believed the contents of that box were going to those in need, and not going to fill your pockets, I still would not contribute. Hand-outs are a tool to maintain a weak-seated need of the lower class. I help those who help themselves...but if you need to feel better about not getting my coins, just consider it my return investment of time and energy spent assisting the three of you in a task you were hired to do, defending my and Grundren’s investment.”
Exhausted, Flutter makes his rounds of the bodies and collects his share. It was unfortunate these people had to die, but it was either them or us and they didn’t show any signs of changing their stance on the issue.
After placing his gear in the back of the wagon, Flutter makes one last trip to the bodies that have been tossed to the side. After rummaging around in some brush, he produces a few wreathes and places them on the heads of the fallen after arranging their bodies to be in a more laying-down position, instead of just being tossed aside. One last rite for the dead, something to commend their bodies back to nature.
He then shuffles back to the wagon to rest up and nurse his wound. Kharnyl has his arms stretched out with a box to donate money but Flutter just shuffles right passed him on his way.
The cart comes to a complete stop now, the cattle pulling show signs of clear discomfort at the smell of blood and the early stages of rot as the dead horses are now close enough for all to see.
There are empty satchels and bags; one leather map case is opened and gently rocks back and forth due to the light wind...

Upon spying the leather map case, he hops down and walks over to check it. The entire time covering his face with a handkerchief in an attempt to block the odor from reaching him.
Flutter peaks up from his position on the cart. His eyes just barely poking over the edge, he makes the sound of gentle footsteps slowly creeping along a stone road to Alderic as he makes his way over to inspect as to signal to be careful and quiet. The roads have already proven themselves to be quite dangerous to Flutter and his new friends, and he doesn’t want anything bad to happen.
Flutter then turns to the large demon man, as he looks like the hardiest of the group and tries to get his attention. He then points to Alderic hurryingly in an attempt to get him to accompany him while mimicking the sound of a blade rasping as it is drawn from it’s sheath.
“Quit your bickering! Look ahead horses full with arrows! Keep your eyes open and on the look out!” Rou yells at the group bicker about the morality of looting the dead. Stopping the cart he will check the horses and any signs of survivors.

The day now struggles to feel as welcome as the sunshine and birdsong implies...
Aldreric, you find the map case empty... Stolen, by something intelligent and most probably responsible for this mess. This was not just lost to the elements.
Roueyes meet the crude arrows embedded in the horses. Goblin-made arrows, lacking any delicate skill making them a horror for their victims.
Kharnyl's eyes are quick. On the road, he makes out stubbly little clawed footsteps of goblins going this way. The most recent and defined lead behind one bush where the cleric notices a goblin with a nose piercing (G2) gesturing to its accomplices before drawing a disfigured blade and looking at Aldreric! Searching, but unable to see its accomplices. Kharnyl does see Flutter also catching a glimpse at the goblin...
Flutter keeps his head on a swivel as his friends investigate the horses. The scene looks too recent. Everything seems well at first, until there is a rustle in a nearby bush!
” -Trap!”
Flutter exclaims, in a hearty guard’s voice, as he notices the gleaming ring on the Goblin’s nose. He produces a flame in the palm of his hand and hurls it toward the Goblin.
” -Over there”
He mimics, in similar sounding tone, as the tiny ball of flame hurls toward his target.
