Valrish turns around. "Why won't the damn pest just knock it off?!" He goes up to the derro, trying to pin him down on a nearby wall in an attempt to stop him from wriggling free from the restraints.

PbP Characters Valrish (Dragonborn // Barbarian 6) - Out of the Abyss - play by post
OOC: Since we all have a grap on him, including our strong Valrish. Can we knock him out ? If yes, then once KO - I will remove his nice shoes... "mouahahah"
Once the Droki is dealt with, Grimnir looks at the darkness in front of them, wondering what beast is lurking and waiting for a nice dinner. "Oorr, do you think you could send Zippy to check what is waiting for us ahead ? This is quite silent here"
(OOG As he is restrained, and there are several of you, we'll say you can easily knock him unconscious without having to roll anything.)
Droki is continuing his loud babbling and yelling. Nothing appears to be answering his calls, but he does not stop. Valrish steps up and delivers a decisive blow to the side of the derro's head, silencing him.
Grimnir easily removes the Boots of Speed from Droki's feet. The derro is also wearing a heavy satchel, along with his unique looking hat.
"Before going any further, let's see what he was transporting that was so important".Grimnir gives the boots to Valrish and have a look at the satchel.
"Zippy, my friend, let's see what lies ahead. I am right behind you."
Oorr will scout ahead with Zippy.

Up ahead the path branches three ways. To the left is a small alcove, that appears to have mushrooms growing along the edge of it. To the right is a narrow passageway, beyond which you can hear a low humming noise. Straight ahead you hear the sound of water lapping against rock.
"Before going any further, let's see what he was transporting that was so important".Grimnir gives the boots to Valrish and have a look at the satchel.
Within Droki's satchel you find a number of items: - 1 GP and 10 SP - A scroll with arcane writing on it - Two Potion of Healing - A worthless collection of dead vermin (spiders, centipedes, and the like) in various states of decomposition - Two small books, with leather covers, filled with pages made of some type of animal skin, on which you see some arcane writing. - A strange lump of black metal - A scroll in a copper tube, and four small pouches containing what appear to be toe nail clippings and skin flakes from large creatures. The pouches are each labeled with a name, one of which you recognize as Dorhun, the stone giant apprentice to Stonespeaker Hgraam.
The derro mob has not left the entrance to the cave. They appear to be waiting for you to exit, while unwilling to enter the cavern themselves. Droki lies unconscious and shackled beside Grimnir as the dwarf looks through the satchel. You appear to be in a safe spot for the moment, though the Faezress is pervasive in the cavern. The only way out is through the derro mob, or to explore further into the cavern. You recall that this appeared to be where Droki was heading before you captured him. Perhaps there are some clues to what he was up to further inside? Or you could fight your way out to return the derro to Errde Blackskull per your agreement.
Oorr and Zippy will scout in the passage straight ahead, trying to be stealthy. Oorr Stealth check 14 Zippy Stealth check 19
The tunnel slopes down to the edge of a large pool that fills the cavern ahead. The opposite shore is nearly one hundred feet away, but nothing can be seen beneath the surface of the black water.
(OOG Oorr and Zippy are the blue dot, the rest of you are back at the red dot. The water appears to be flowing in and out to this cavern. You can see land across and the cavern continue about 100 feet away.))
Or we could wait them out while I read those books and that scroll, examine the lump of metal, disintegrate the dead bugs, and try to figure out what, of all the things he could have wanted those body parts for, he did want them for. Okay, I suppose I could do that while we explore the cave, but it wouldn't be as efficient.
OOC: Using this for that disintegration, courtesy of a very nice DM.

"Well we could rest for a short moment here. I could meditate (OOC recover my Ki points), Valrish could attune to his new boots and we could have a look at the books and metal piece... Meanwhile Oorr is scouting for us. I know that the Faezress is around but I don't think there anything we could do, no?"
"There is a sort of subterranean river ahead. I think our best option is to check the passage on the right."

Oorr and Zippy quietly explore to the right to a narrow bend in the hallway.
As you venture into the cavern, a stench of rotting meat rises. The floor is carpeted with humanoid remains in varying stages of decomposition, arranged in a spiral pattern around the cave’s center. An off-key humming comes from a hunched figure working busily at something on the floor.
The hunched over figure is small, and doesn't seem to notice you looking into the cavern.
Valrish lits his lantern, going ahead to make sure no more derro are awaiting further in the burrow.
