Stoping at the spot where Oorr picked up the ring, Grimnir saw the hand and remember Pelek request. " Could it be his? There should be an obsidian ring."
He is picking up the skeletal hand and place it in his backpack.
Oorr, after watching for a few moments the fungal creatures dancing, goes back to Belwar and lets him to know that we need fire. The yellow mould seems not to like it.
Valrish, whi's been quietly following for a while, rejoices a bit with his new pair of boots. He spots the myconid, and flinches at the moldy apes. "The one before burnt quite well, didn't it? I could just go up to them and spit some flames on them..." He says to his comrades.

Stoping at the spot where Oorr picked up the ring, Grimnir saw the hand and remember Pelek request. " Could it be his? There should be an obsidian ring."
He is picking up the skeletal hand and place it in his backpack.
The skeleton was too big to have belonged to Pelek and according to his description the hand wandered away unattached from a body. You can still pocket the hand however.
OOC Given the Stealth checks of Oorr and Valrish, can we surprise the ape-like creatures? Oorr would toss the torch while Valrish uses the breath...
Yes, you could surprise them. Aside from being very quiet, the myconid, other than the smaller one standing off to the side, seemed too caught up in their dancing to notice you. Oorr, roll a nature check please. And Valrish roll perception.
(OOG I keep forgetting you have NPCs with you. Eldeth, Derendil, and Jimjar are all here. For narrative purposes we’ll say they stayed behind to watch entrance to the cavern, but are now joining you after the commotion with Buppido.)
As your companions join you Jimjar starts up a conversation with the ghost and Eldeth tends to her gear. Derendil also scouts ahead with Oorr and Valrish. Upon seeing the “apes” Derendil returns. “Those large creatures are Quaggoth, such as this body I’m trapped in. They seemed rather quiet though. I wonder if that yellow mold has done something to them.”
Once the myconids and spore servants have been defeated or negotiated with and the ring has been brought to me to identify, I cast detect magic as a ritual. In the meantime, I follow Oorr and cast create bonfire on whatever he tells me to burn--after collecting a small sample to study, of course.
Oorr tells Zippy to wait in the cavern with the others, and attack only if the case of real danger. The aarakocra then will go openly in the natural cave where the fungal creatures are. He will talk to the small myconid, the one not dancing in a frantic way."Greetings, my friend. I am Oorr of the Star Mounts. What it is happening in here?"

There is no reaction from the dancing myconids or the quaggoth spore servants as you enter the room. The small myconid turns to you looking slightly startled at your approach. It appears to glance around back and forth from the dancers to you a few times before releasing spores in your direction. You feel the familiar sensation of rapport spores alloying you to speak telepathically. The sprout says, “Hello Oorr of the Star Mounts. I’m Rumpadump of the Neverlight Grove. I cannot tell you what is happening because I’m not really sure myself. Voosbur is acting different. His spores are strange to me, and I am worried.”
You can sense through the spores that Rumpadump is indeed concerned for his friends. He indicates one of the large myconid as Voosbur. Voosbur seems to be leading the dance.
Oorr replies to Rumpadum:" I see. Is there any way I can help? In the duergar city, there is another myconid, we travelled together for some time. His is name is Stool. Maybe you and he can understand better what is going on? "
"Oh, also, do you know how far is your Neverlight Grove from here?"
Edit: Add a +2 to that, I forgot which skills I was proficient with (apart from survival and athletics).
You notice that the dancing Myconid appear to be in the middle of a large patch of Fungi. They take careful steps so as not to crush any under their feet, but move in and out among the small stalks. There are two distinct type of fungus in the patches. One is about 4 inches tall with a wide purple cap. The other is a short 1 inch stem with a stubby blue cap with white dots.
"Stool is with you? I would very much like to see him. He is my friend, but we thought him lost when a band of drow surprised us outside our home and stole several sprouts away some time ago. The Grove is far by normal means. Maybe two weeks of traveling in the caves if you do not get lost. Voosbur has recently discovered a faster way of traveling. We were in the Neverlight Grove just yesterday. If you talk to him, be careful. I do not believe he is dangerous, but he is... not right."
"I will gladly take you to Stool, once we get out of these tunnels. Come, I'll introduce to my group and together we find our way out."
Oorr will present Rumpandum to the others.
OOC There is a way out from the fungal cavern?
Rumpadump gives one last worried look at his friends, then nods, turns, and leaves with Oorr back to the others. The Myconid continue their dance, and the spore servants remain motionless.
There is a tunnel that exits East from the Myconid, past the spore servants. Here's a shot of everywhere you've been. The red dots indicate tunnels you haven't explored. The Blue dot is where you entered, green is the Myconid room, and Purple is Buppido's shrine, where you met Pelek.

I provide fire, then go back to my books and scrolls.
