Brox sees Eldeth vanishing in the depth. Grimnir is fighting invisible enemies in his head. She hears the noise, she feels that she succumbs to this creature. But the light inside her shines strong. She can push through.
Brox has had enough of this. She pulls out her golden amulet, showing a green oak tree leaf. "This is enough, this is the light! You have no quarry here! Return to your hole, return to your world! This world is protected!"

A green light shines forth from Brox and over the Alkilith. Part of the slime and ooze surrounding the portal breaks apart, and begins to curl in on itself quickly dissolving around the circle. Suddenly the portal is gone, leaving a gaping hole in the ground. At the northern edge of the hole is a small mass of ooze and slime and tentacles. It moves quickly, more quickly than you would expect it to, and dashes 80 feet away into the market place. Pushed by the light of Brox's channel divinity.

Brox's scream is cut short as she falls into what she now realizes is a shallow pit. With the portal gone, it's just a large dent in the ground. You do fall about 15 feet however, and take 5 bludgeoning damage as you strike the ground.
The Alkilith continues to run, heedless of the attacks from Oorr and Grimnir. (Who now get opportunity attacks.)
The sounds of boots and clinking metal gets closer, and you see a contingent of guards from Gauntlgrym approaching from behind you, as well as in the direction the Alkilith is running. You spot Bruenor in the distance who signals for his guards to attack the fleeing fiend.
The Alkilith takes a slash from Grimnir, but continues to run away. Right into the crowd of dwarven guards. On Bruenor's orders, they begin to tear into the beast. In it's frightened state, it puts up no resistance. After just a few seconds, the guard have finished with the beast, leaving nothing but a slimy, goopy, mess covering the ground and their weapons and armor.
The rumbling throughout the Vault of Kings seems to die down. The orange glow of fire dies down throughout the cavern, and you hear a large groaning loudly throughout the halls. The groaning dies down, and then it is eerily silent.
"By Moradin's beard, what was that slime?"shouts Bruenor rushing forward. "It seems Maegera has calmed down with the fiend defeated, thank the gods. Are you okay? Where is Eldeth?"
Several guards help Brox from the pit, and dust her off from the fall. You gather in the middle of the market place with Bruenor, while his guards and several members of the other factions help begin to clean up the area.

"King Bruenor, let me talk to Maegera. She is an ancient being, very much so. She might have the insight we need."
