Group? We're not a group. Are we? We could be a group. Deet seems excited by the prospect. Maybe we could find something useful to do. He looks at Mrs. Fletcher. Excuse me, ma'am, do you know of anyone who needs help today?
Arden smiles as he nibbles on a rasher. Oi’ve the day off as well, I’d be more’n ‘appy to accompany you lot around the city. I’ve been here a bit now so I could help guide the newer ones a bit.
Deet is it? The monsters were brought because of a sickness. They say the sickness is from shu...err...shit...but such circus...stree'atul...and spectacle...usually means they don't know...shit
We could, says Deet uncertainly, looking at the others and fearing that the thought of investigating sickness and shit monsters might not appeal to them as much as it does to him. That was in the... East District, right?
To Klee, he grins as he looks over the drawing of 'Monster Day'. That's exactly how it should be. He leans in and whispers. And as for fighting, I don't really fight much, but there's a bear and sometimes a spider. He thinks for a moment. Really, it makes sense when you see it.
She looks him up and down which does not take long to do on account of there not being a lot of him.
"A real bear n that? Or.... one o' them cuddlin' ones?"
Distracted by the talk of a trip out, she claps. "Aye! I've no work to be goin to neither. We could make a day of it! Maybe run some errands like you say, copper here, copper there..."trailing off as the topic changes to shit, about which she's less enthused.
After the early meal has been consumed, Mrs Fletcher starts clearing up.
Alright you lot, clear off. I've got cleanin' to do. she says with a smile
The day is yours.
As stated, every conceivable shop is in Rashack Moor so if you wish to purchase anything it will be here somewhere. If you would like to visit any particular place, please advise.
Well, I don't have much need for anything right now, nor much money to be paying for it,Deet says to the others. I'm happy to tag along if you folks want to head shopping. Or we could spend the day doing something more daring! Like... investigate the Plague District? Sorry, I mean the East District. I definitely shouldn't have called it the Plague District. What do you think?
The East District sounds interesting though I would like to find a source for the sickness or at least confirm what has been told to the people. Poverty usually doesn't warrant much in official investigation.
The day, such as it is, goes without much to top the spectacle of the early morning.
Those who travel to the east district find that a small section has been cordoned off by the city watch. You see, from a distance, hessian covered bodies being transported out of the city and quite a few Clerics of Rashack Moor visiting houses. It seems that whatever happened, things are being done.
Arden please roll a Performance check to see how much you earn this evening.
Please advise those of you who wish to check out The Crow and Bucket this evening.
Tahta, you are unable to enter the restricted zone that seems to encompass about two city blocks. Apparently they picked the competent guards for this duty.
You do however try for a direct approach and ask a young lady, who is also standing at the makeshift quarantine post, what happened. Obviously wanting to complain and happy to have a receptive ear, the girl launches into a tirade on the powers of local law enforcement and the inadequacy of city bureaucracy. The factual sounding bits that you gleaned were;
The well in this part of town had been dug too close to the sewers.
A sickness spread quickly and roughly thirty people died and over one hundred are still ill.
The problem was diagnosed by a Gnome named Peterson who lived in the area and advised the local Prefect.
The Prefect took too long to act.
A minor royal was afflicted when visiting the area to shop for a rare book. Suddenly the city mobilised and the Prefect lost his head.
The young lady wants to get back in to see if her grandfather is still alive and to make sure her house has not been ransacked.
Those were Otyughs that were dropped in the sewers. Eleven altogether. The hope is that they can help eradicate in minimising any disease outbreaks.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After a bracing walk around the city and a brief nap upstairs, Klee returns to the common room, trying to smooth an unruly lick of hair back behind her ear and wandering nonchalantly around the room picking up knick-knacks and marveling at them as she gets a feel for the place.
Investigation : 8 looking for a guest book so she can scribe something nice about the delightful Mrs Fletcher, or find out how much her room is costing her.
If Arden is playing tonight, she'd be delighted to attend, provided she can be escorted - it's not safe for a young girl to be walking the streets alone.
Tahta, you ask the young woman where the Gnome is and she looks at you blankly for a moment.
I have no idea. Maybe in there somewhere. She points beyond the barrier.
Klee, after having looked around somewhat for a guest book without luck, you come to the conclusion that Widow Fletchers Boarding House is just not that kind of establishment. In fact, just from your casual poking about, you get the distinct feeling that after the death of her husband, Mrs Fletcher became a boarding house proprietor by accident by pulling in one too many strays.
If everyone has done what they wish for the day we shall continue at The Crow and Bucket.
Deet mostly follows Tahta in the investigation, but stands back and lets her work. You're really good at this! he comments admiringly. Everything that young woman said sort of makes sense. Do you believe it? It's a very... neat sequence of events, isn't it?
Deet will happily visit the Crow and Bucket in the evening with the others.

"Myre," Cragmyre replies, with an emphasis on the "I" sound and without a hint of offense.

Sort of a real bear. Sometimes for cuddling, Deet says, smiling at the thought. Everyone needs a hug sometimes, no?

Klee checks her purse, such as it is. It does not jangle.
"Not sure I can stretch to shoppin' but p'raps a walk'd do us all good? After the washin' up 'course!"
She begins to assist Mrs Fletcher with the clearing away.

Is there any way to get a gust of the illness or if its mundane, magical, poison?
Tahta will go to the show if they let in the crazy street lady
Roll an Investigation Check please Miss Tahta
