Roscoe returns to the Inn, sidles up to the bar, looks over at Krov and Whiskey, mulls over the possibilities for arm wrestling... thinks better of it, and places his order
Sausage on a bun, please, Toblen, and a jar of water with a shot of wine...
Well - Town Master Harbin is getting a little nervous for Lady Adarba, the Gnomes who live close by, and a party of Dwarves. He wants us to visit each of them and tell them of the Dragon. He especially wants us to ensure Lady Adarba's safety. She's the district's apothecary and healer, and lives alone in the mill south of town.
"Well i suggest we tell her first then, sounds like a sweet lady." Whiskey gathers his items and then realizes he is getting ahead of himself " Should we go now? or should we go later?" Whiskey asks

Krov tenses up a bit, his expression obviously worried, his hand twitching near his greatsword.
Well i think the choice of who to save first is obvious, a lonely old lady has no way of protecting herself against evil. The sooner we get there the better, this dragon is everywhere... Im ready to go, i dont need to rest. Can you handle yourselves?

Krov seems to hesitate for few seconds when hes about to answer to Renin's question. He holds his arm with his big clawy hand as his arm twitches a bit and he looks to the side, trying not to make eye contact with the group. Upon hearing Whiskey's answer he seems to be a little bit more confortable, managing to bluntly, yet with an agressive and brute tone, let out his answer:
To protect the innocent from evil... And to remember.
His eyes quickly stare for a few seconds at the eyes of everyone from the group. Those who choose to make eye contact see that his silvery eyes hold a tremendous pain and suffering, you know that Krov has suffered thru unimaginable horrors.
(( BACKGROUND | Haunted One | Feature: Heart of Darkness | Those who look into your eyes can see that you have faced unimaginable horror and that you are no stranger to darkness. Though they might fear you, commoners will extend you every courtesy and do their utmost to help you. Unless you have shown yourself to be a danger to them, they will even take up arms to fight alongside you, should you find yourself facing an enemy alone.))
He stares a bit longer at Whiskey, he felt like that poor guy had also suffered a bit, tho he seemed to never lose hope. He had the determination and the strength to keep fighting and to show the world that appearences are just something superficial. He was brave and Krov admired him for that. He wanted to protect him at all costs, such an optimistic soul should never have to see nor feel what Krov has seen and felt. He would protect him from all evil, and he would protect others as well.
I'd like to open a leather working shop one day. Amour, yes, however everybody should use a leather apron for housework, yes? And normal every day wear, too. Other than that, trouble seems to find me. I guess it's my charming personality?
Whiskey chuckles "Charming indeed Roscoe, I hope you open that shop and dont let that trouble bring you down" Whiskey pauses and tells Krov "That is a very admirable trait, protecting those who need protection is very brave. And what is it you wish to remember?" Whiskey turns to Renin as well "And how about you? Whats your story?"

Renin looks a bit puzzled by the reticence of his companions, not understanding why Whiskey might be judged on his looks, or why protecting the innocent from evil might be an embarrassing pursuit.
"My story is nothing so fanciful, I'm afraid. Not yet. These travels are my rite of passage--if I can walk the lands for a hundred years and be proud of what I've accomplished in that time, then I will return to my people to be well and truly counted among their number."
”One hundred years! Wow that sounds daunting. What is it you wish to be proud of? Or wish to do to be proud of?” Whiskey absentmindedly blows some notes on his pan flute as he looks at his new friends with a bit of a smile

Krov shakes at the moment he hears Whiskey ask "And what is it you wish to remember?".He grips his greatsword tight and mumbles to himself for a bit, seemingly repeating something over and over again. it becomes loud enough till you can almost hear it but then he stops and looks at Whiskey with a serious glare.
Remember the pain. Feel it. See it. If you do not remember, de- He abruptly stops talking and shakes his head. Ive said too much, forgive me. I do not want to burden you with my curse. Thats why i protect people from evil, so they do not suffer the same unfortunate destiny as me.
He lowers his head a bit and keeps walking, his hand tightly griped on his greatsword, shaking a bit. Krov tries to hide his fear and worry thru sheer strength and intimidation alone, hes a big and intimidating dragonborn after all, hes not suposed to fear, or at least thats what he thought.
Lets keep going... Quickly.

"Well, among my people, one hundred years is nearly the end of childhood. We live ten times the span of younger races. As for what I aim to do, I aim to gather skills and knowledge that I can bring back to my village. And tales of my good deeds, of course. I must prove to my tribe that I can put others before myself. This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Renin's going through his Hopping Around period. All elves go this during their second century. He'll be ready to start settling down in about 80 years or so. :)
We're getting close to the mill.. Let's keep our eyes peeled...
With that Roscoe pulls out his Shortbow, just in case...
Perception, looking for anything out of place while they approach the mill -- 6
You are approaching from the North (so top of the map).
To the left is the higher ridge, 40 feet up. You can just make out the tops of what look like rock piles.
To the right is the windmill, only 20 feet up. You see the top but not the base and can just see the top half of the iron fence that runs around it. There is also what looks like a short, rather narrow stone wall next to it.
And you think you hear growling and some pounding.
