Arliden is going to let Fjordix take point on the story but he provides accompanying background music with his lute, with appropriate flourishes and dramatic pauses.
Fjordix retrieves Dakerian from where he was waiting and brings him along, "His name is Dakerian, he is a prince. He was cursed by his love's father and now is a stag during the day, and only when the day mixes with night does he return to his true form."
"Hmmm...That is interesting. Dakerian is an old Elven name. Hasn't been common since before my grandparents were born. I will be most interested to learn more of his story. First things first, though. Guild price is 90 gold."
She takes the coins from you, places it in a drawer of her desk, and then says, "Thank you. Now, this shouldn't be too difficult."
With that, she gently places her hands on Dakerian, and begins casting a spell. For a few moments, it appears as though nothing is happening. Soon, however, that same shimmering you saw the first time he transformed (and every dawn and evening since) happens, and Dakerian stands before you as an elf with golden skin, still in the antlered crown and tattered rags despite all your efforts over the course of your journey to get him decent clothing.
"Vadania, I thank you for removing this curse from me. To walk on two legs while the sun is still rising is a sensation for which I had stopped hoping long ago. Fjordix Anker, I cannot thank you enough for the service you have done me. You trusted me back in the ruins of my home when you could just as easily have shot me and made a fortune from my hide. Your friends and travelling companions helped to protect me when others would have gladly slit my throat. While it is not near enough to pay you for what you have done, this is all I have, save my crown. Please take it as a token of my gratitude." As he finishes speaking, he offers you an exquisitely crafted long bow that has been shaped to look like it has been made from antlers.
I'm sure Fjordix can right? Though does he want to might be a good question. I've seen that guy wade into melee and him being between me and the enemy makes me feel a lot safer." And then Arliden turns to Dakerian, "So I can't help but wonder what's you'll do now."
Fjordix takes the bow and shoulders it, "It has been my honor Dakerian" he offered his hand and wrist for an embrace like those of his homeland were want to perform. "...and Vadania, thank you for your masterful use of the arcane arts to undo the curse. It has been a pleasure doing business with you this day" a rough smile crossed his face before he turned back to the others in the group.
"I'll hold on to it for now, it'll be put to good use if we come across another dragon or other flying creature. Though I will need to pick up some arrows before we leave town. Where are we headed next?"
Grasping Fjordix's wrist, Dakerian says, "The honor has been mine, Fjordix. May you find that which you seek."
Turning to look at Arliden, he says, "Honestly, I never thought I would see this day, so I have long since stopped thinking about what I would when it arrived. I have nothing but this crown. No land. No people. No home. Perhaps I will return to the ruins of my once proud kingdom and live out my days remembering what it is like to not be hunted in my own home. Regardless of what I do, I once again offer you my thanks."
Having said all this, he leaves.
[Everyone, make a Wisdom (Perception) check. Fjordix can easily acquire a quiver of arrows for 1 gold on the way out of town. The next stop you had agreed upon was the Tower of Luck. If that is still the desire, that is where the next scene will take place.]
Fjordix takes the bow back from Vadania with his newfound knowledge of how it works, he thanks her once more before turning back to the group. The note he had just read had unsettled him. "I am not much for prophecy, but I don't believe our golden friend would have shared this with me were it not rooted in some sort of truth. Read if you'd like, though be wary as it's message is haunting" Fjordix then handed the note to whomever wanted to read.
Fjordix Dragonsbane,
There is one more thing that I can give to you. I have struggled with whether or not to reveal this information to you because I fear what may happen if I reveal too much. Your humility has proven that you are who I feared you were, however, so you should know that there is an old prophecy involving you and your friends which I had hoped I would not see come to pass. All I can reveal is that you are on the right track, and you must continue following the river of gold until you reach the castle in the sky. Sadly, your path will be filled with hardship and blood. Not all will survive.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

As Fjordix is paying to have the item identified, "Fjordix, if you want any help paying for that let me know, we are a team after all. I don't want you to think you need to shoulder the whole financial burden just because it's something you might use. Do you want me to cover half of it?"
Arliden reads the note and processes for a few minutes...and then, assuming we are out of earshot of people, "River of gold to a castle in the sky huh? Seems ominous, though to be fair the rest of this isn't surprising. We knew this would be hard, we've killed more people in the last month than I ever have in the rest of my life, and if I die stopping whatever in the nine hells this cult is up to....well I can think of many worse ways to go. I'd say we're doing ok, all things considered...I do wish I knew more about this prophecy though."
[There's not much decor to speak of. A lot of books and scrolls, a few apothecary cabinets, a desk, and a few chairs.]
Rex sighs at the lack of interesting chachkies, but turns his attention to the conversation.

Rex scratches his scaled/bone-covered jaw and whistles, “Now that’s a pretty bow. Though, uh, do we have anyone who can actually shoot the thing?”

OOC: Will Fjordix need to spend time with the bow to determine it's properties? He did say it was magical ya?

[You would need someone to cast identify on it to determine it's properties. It would be 20 gold for Vadania to do it.]
OOC: Seems fair, Fjordix will pay that.
Rex, you see that Dakerian had slipped a piece of parchment to Fjordix when they grasped wrists.
Fjordix, you have been given the Great Bow (should be on your character sheet). It is a +1 longbow that deals an additional 2d8 damage against beasts.
Rex files away that knowledge for the moment. Nyeh heh.
