Kindra accepts the game in a heartbeat and plays cards with Baymen. After a few hours, she bids him goodnight and brings Ashlar, her raven, upstairs before going to bed.
Kindra offers to dry Crewe and Carzyre's clothes off with prestidigitation, leaving no hint to their being damp. She listens to the instructions and nods decisively, ready to be off. She goes off to find as many of the following as possible:
Doc had returned with his gear after about fifteen minutes and placed his wet backpack near the fire to dry out. Then placing his large heavy mace against the wall he had taken his chain mail armor out and gone over to stand near the card table to observe the game and put his armor on. Over the next hour, the armor had slowly fused to his body as he asked curious questions about the nature of the game, but declined any invitation to actually play.
After the games were over, he had walked over to the corner of the room opposite of the tavern door and and turned to face it, the lights in his eyes going dim. He is still standing like this when morning comes.
As people begin to stir and gather, he greets Crewe and Carzyre and gathers up his equipment, not needing anything else before everyone departs.
Stirring with the revival of the fire, having slept right through the morning and tavern filling, Baymen wakes filled with energy. He grabs his things, listens to Crewe and heads out to town.
He's only been here for an evening and night, spending most of it at the tavern. He's sampled enough of it to know, however, that the local baker must clearly have yeast and grain worth purchasing. Walking through town, he'll look for said baker and once he's done he'll head back to the inn and try to buy some brewer supplies and a barrel.
He'll also sell his signet ring. He can't remember where he found the stupid thing, but its worth a little. He also found some fine jacket and pants with the elves that he's had folded up in a bag he'll sell before it gets ruined.
The elf watches as the others set about preparing for departure, it only occurring to him when the one called Kindra returns that he should probably do the same. He dashes out the door, and, not knowing where the genasi had got her supplies from, has to follow her footprints in the muddy ground to find the location. He arrives back at the tavern a short while later, pack loaded with an assortment of equipment that he may or may not need, and immediately returns to the vicinity of the fire, sucking in as much of its warmth as he can before they leave.
Doc's eyes flicker between various colors back and forth before adjusting back to their original green as everyone is shaken around, "[Query] Are all units in proper working order?"
(Doc will attempt to communicate with the party as well as the driver to see if everyone is ok.)
Fargoth pitches forward as the carriage crashes to the ground, ending up in a heap in the footwell. As the Doc speaks, he raises a finger to stave off further questioning, before cupping his hand to his mouth and sticking his head out the back of the carriage to relieve himself. He turns round after a second, wiping his mouth with the back of a sleeve. "Feeling better now, thanks." He bangs on the front wall of the carriage when he realises that Kindra is out cold. "Ms. Carzyre, stop the mules, we might have an injury here."
At first frustrated, Baymen throws his fists in the air aggression, straining his fists.
Then he hears it.
The rain has stopped.
Based on his current idea, that's its several evil magic users all sitting in a circle being evil, he's unsure of what to think of this. Did they just stop sitting in a circle? maybe one of them sneeze and broke concentration? He's seen it happen.
Maybe someone stopped them already?
So many questions! Baymen sits there confused until he looks at Doc and Kindra with concern. He's not a medicine man or a healer so he'll just rub his necklace and hope things work out.
