Lothliénwalks into the corridor, looking for any hidden traps or doors
Investigation: 21
"This place feels less and less safe at every step... and what are these things anyway? Where the hell do they come from?"
He tries to make sense of the origin of the jellies
Lothlién walks down the corridor. It goes straight east for 35 feet and ends in a pile of rubble. You can tell it used to go farther into the mountain, but the ceiling caved in long ago. There are no signs of life in there, except for the slimy remains of the slain ooze.
Halfway through the passage are two plain doors, one going north and one going south. They are currently closed, but unlocked, you can just push them open at will.
You recall that ooze monsters can squeeze into smaller crevices and will digest any corpse or living creature they run into. It would be plausible that the ones you found slithered their way into the temple after the collapse, drawn by the smell of rotting flesh, and have been dormant in here for long.
"Anything I can do to help, I had a great teacher, taught me a lot about weapons" Rhok says and puts a hand on the Dragonborn's shoulder. He then glances at his bolts that were fired into the jelly, not expecting them to be salvageable, but checks nonetheless
Investigation check for the bolts: 19
What remains of the bolts is half corroded and half burnt, they won't be of any use now.
OOC to Rhok:
You saw Xarroth cleaning his clothes using a spell. Maybe you can ask him to use the same to repair your bolts.
Lia joins the others in the passage, looking around and checking the doors she finds there. She would open each and glance inside.
The door on the south wall opens to a half collapsed room. The air is stale inside and you can see the skeletal remains of a hand poking out of the rubble.
On the opposite wall of the tunnel, the door opens to a room without furniture. There is an empty stone font on the wall to your left and stone pegs on the wall to your right, with some strange red clothes still hanging on them.
Xarrothwould examine the clothing, a hand on his chin. The dragonborn attempts to recognise the garments for religious rites or magical practises.
Xarroth walks into the room. The clothes turn out to be priests clothes. They still retain their dark red, but the fabric is stiff as dry leather. You turn one around and catch the outline of the same old dwarven rune for A in its back, while the section you are holding crumbles and frays apart.
Lia moves in to check out the skeleton a bit closer.
The skeleton is picked clean of flesh, eatean by the ochre jellies no doubt. Its legs and half of the torso are trapped under a big boulder. Around its neck you see a silvery chain with a medallion depicting a tiny dagger surrounded by dwarven runes reading "greed is good".
Rhok picks up the broken bolt bits, carries them along into the room
"Xarroth, that thing you did to clean yourself from the jellies, think that would work on fixing this bolt?"
As he says this he notices the pegs and sees if the pattern means or points to anything
Testing the pegs, you notice that one of them empty and fits loosely in its socket. You turn it like a screw and a section of the northern wall is this room slides to the side, revealing a second room. You can see a bed in the new room.
OOC: I'm assuming that either Rhok or Xarroth are carrying a torch to see around. Lia and Lothlién have darkvision.
"I guess it's safe now. And we found a secret room!"Lothliénanswers Norbus.
Norbus walks into the room with Lothlién, Xarroth and Rhok. Behind him, Dazlyn is nervously looking ar every shadow. Seeing that you are not fighting anything in here, they walk closer to the hanging robes. "These are Abbathor's colors, and his symbol is on them" Norbus takes a closer look "sadly there are of no value in this state".
Dazlyn moves to the font "no plumbing, this must have been used to hold holy water on it" she relaxes as she talks about the various rituals that would involve using this water to purify the different utensils involved in sacrifices to Abbathor.
Lia would take the chain from the skeleton, then move back to join the others. "What do you make of this?" She asks, holding up the chain with the dagger on it.

Norbus walks to Lia and examines the medallion. "This is a holy symbol of Abbathor, only a high ranking priest would wear one. Where did you find it?"
Xarroth is sneering at knowledge of a place that reveres a god of malice still stands, but his mood of intense retribution is, thankfully, interrupted...
"Xarroth, that thing you did to clean yourself from the jellies, think that would work on fixing this bolt?"
The dragonborn chuckles quietly at the suggestions, "Quite the different spell, human. But, I do think I can have a look..." He attempts to repair the bolts with Mending.
"over here." Lia says, leading the way back to the skeleton.
Norbus walks to the south room, he bends down to examine the skeleton "a dwarf for sure, and what remains of their clothes is more adorned that the ones hanging in the other room".

Magic swirls from the dragonborn's hands and engulfs the bolts. The corrosion on the tips fades away and the shafts regrow the sections that were corroded away. When the spell finishes the bolts look as if a fletcher had just finished making them.
Rhok watches in awe at the bolt being repaired "Thank you! Can I repay you for this?"
"Found another door in this sleeping chamber, care to have a look? The beds don't look to comfy" He states as he slides the newly repaired bolts into his quiver

Entering the room you see two other beds. All three are made of stone. There is a normal door, on the wall going west.
Norbus walks to Lia and examines the medallion. "This is a holy symbol of Abbathor, only a high ranking priest would wear one. Where did you find it?"

"We're already here, right?" says Lothlién, who goes to the door and checks if it's locked or trapped.
