"There is a necromancer nearby. We need to find him immediately." Reshi fondles the coin purse on his belt. He wants to help Basil, but paying with the gold would take him further from restoring his house and freeing his sister. "I cannot think what I have to offer to offer. What price do you suggest?"
Zartandelous:"a necromancer you say... Yes, yes, offer me your groups blood! Just a small amount each should suffice. If you are willing to do this for me, i shall show you the way to this necromancer."
The fiery symbole on the ground continues to burn. But its center intensifies, as if it was requiring something. And the flames from Reshis eyes extinguish themselves as Reshi instinctively comes out of the symbol on the floor.
DM:"all the others never heard anything the demon said. To you guys/girls, the ground is on fire, a symbol burning and reshi talked to himself with fire like energy coming out of his eyes. As if something had took him over."

Sun, hearing Reshi speak of a price, and remembering him earlier talking about sacrificing a cat, gets a firm grasp of his quarterstaff and hisses, while staring intensely at Reshi and then back to Gwen: "You'll sacrifice me over my dead body..."

Reshi pulls one of his daggers from his belt. As Sun grasps his quarterstaff and braces himself for a showdown with Reshi, the warlock elf flips the dagger, holding the blade between his fingers. He extends the handle to Reshi.
"Zartandelous said we need to make a sacrifice, but it wasn't you, Sun. I promise you everything will be fine. He just wants us to give him some of our blood."
Reshi decides that he needs to be the first to make a sacrifice. He flips the dagger over and slashes his palm. He then holds his hand over the site where he communicated with Zartandelous, letting his blood drip to the floor.
"De-defiler!" The words burst from Gwen's mouth. "How do I know your demon won't use my blood for e-evil!?"

Reshi tears a strip of fabric from the bedsheets and uses it to make a bandage to wrap around his hand. "I always knew I shouldn't have trusted you from the beginning. You're no different from the others that I've met in this filthy backwater region."
The elf glares at the cleric. "Gwen, you say you care about helping people. Basil needs our help. That poor kid has had his whole family ripped apart by tragedy and you just want to stand by and watch his father perform unnatural acts to resurrect his dead sister. we need to find that necromancer. We don't have time for this!"
Reshi then struts over and gets right in Sun's feline face. Tears twinkling in his eyes, his voice drops to a gravelly whisper: "And you: I thought you were different. I was willing to call you a friend, but you're nothing more than a spineless coward. You want adventures to go back and tell Hopper, Snow and Misty. Well adventure is calling. It's staring you in the face, and you're turning you back on it; on the chance to go home a hero."
Reshi picks up a vase of flowers and with a roar tosses it against the wall before plonking himself on the bed, his head in his hands.
"O-oh, pardon m-me, mister sunshine," Gwen twitches in place, hating that she had been so directly attacked. "F-forgive me for having trouble trusting a man who makes deals with demons." Her last statement was coated in sarcasm. She sighed, however, if this is what it took to save the boy...
She took an arrow from her quiver and ran her thumb over it. Blood from the wound she opened poured onto the place Reshi had spilled his blood. She prayed to Tyr hoping she had done the right thing. She muttered under her breath, "H-hail unto Tyr, God of Justice, a c-child of your people calls to you. G-guide my hand to smite the w-wicked..."

"You won't regret this." he mumbles. This is as close to an apology as he is willing to muster, as an apology would imply that he was wrong. "The boy needs our help."
Gwen tried her best to look composed as Reshi touched her hand to perform the simple and kind act of dressing it. She kept her eyes on the ground, looking at their blood.

Reshi chews his bottom lip. Was that really the only choice? Maybe he could've done things differently? Had he just sentenced his friends to a lifetime of servitude to Zartandelous?
He shakes the thoughts from head and pulls open the trapdoor.
Sun shivers a bit when he feels the burning in his chest. Was this just heartburn from eating way too many smoked ducks-breasts, or did he make a terrible mistake...? Anyway, too late now. Time for adventure and heroics! He jumps down through the trapdoor and looks around with his 60ft. darkvision.
