Herman is very frustrated that all his previous efforts went spoiled, so this time, instead of raging at the crystal demon, he just aims better (even if maybe he may expose himself)

Jumping from his crouch Garet flings his rapier around in an unstoppable arch of glittering steel, whilst simultaneously with left hand sending the dagger flying towards it own destination an obsidian blur of death.

The last strike cost Garet dearly having put everything into it his balance was off in avoiding the crystal spikes.

Garets subsequent strike was off balance and poorly executed, but after it was finished Garet took a minute to find his warrior focus.

Striking the confused and still fiend again and again the companions suddenly hear a loud boom like shattering stone and are all pushed back by an immense forcewave as Pelucidis collapses inward to a single point of darkness and ten explodes in a wave of energy momentarily deafening them all but causing no harm.

The air becomes still and the remaining Maze Fiend collapses into a pile of obsidian.

There is no trace of Pelucidis other than a single softly glowing quartz crystal on the floor of the chamber.

As one the companions feel a burning sensation on their left forearm and see a strange tattoo appear there it seems to be a solid black depiction of two identical draconic heads above arched wings and below it a simple black square...

Herman covers his ears for the explosion but then he realises the fight is over

He starts to laugh isterically, take his wolven hood up and starts to dance around the demon remain an oscene and ritual dance, made of showing parts of the body during the dance (middle fingers, tongue , buttocks, balls )

((Wait, who is the lucky one who got a new tatoo for free?))

(I think he meant that we all felt it at the same time. Assuming we all got one.)

Zeltheris strikes one triumphant fist upward towards the ceiling from where he lays on his back, "I will compose such a wonderful song for the ages detailing your glorious victory! Later, after I've slept."

Garet still reeling from the sonic implosion and the disappearance of the crystal monster, barely had time to catch his breath, before he felt the brief but searing pain on his left arm.

Wordlessly he sheathes his weapons in one fluid motion, and watches in bemusement as Herman performs his victory dance.

Garet smiles wryly at Zeltheris comments looking forward to hearing the bards composition in a warm hearth in Chalice with a quilliam water, they had earned it.

Banzos words brought him from his reverie, and he glanced to his forearm to where he had felt the strange burning sensation moments earlier pulling up his armoured sleeve he too noticed an identical mark to that of Banzo.

"Aye I have the mark too, I wonder what it means and whether it confers any abilities or curses and what the other items might do." Garets, firstly looked at the crystal left behind and the items hey had chanced upon before the monster has attacked. Garet's mind then went back to the tales he had heard aboard ship of magical tattoos that some of his shipmates claimed to have.

History or Religion check for the Tattoo.

The crystal appears to be a chunk of rose quartz the size of a mans head, it glows softly almost rythmically....though crystalline in appearance the consistency of the crystal was somewhat spongey to see up close.

Investigation/Arcana/History etc for the items collected individually.
