Tzedaka will pause in mid spell and re-open the 2nd door as Herman seems interested in the tracks. She wonders if Herman may see something that she did not. "Vhat do you see Cherman?"
"Someone came in, looked around then left maybe?" Ennwynn whispers, but unsure as to why or what they may have been seeking looks carefully at the wall section near the footprints for a less dusty patch on it.
As the door opens you see a derelict room that was once a torture chamber. All rnanner of instrumenls of pain are strewn about: branding irons, knives, chains, thumbscrews, ropes, whips and an iron maiden, all long since abandoned, lie covered in dust and cobwebs on the stone floor. ln the middle of the chamber you see a rack. The skeleton of an unfortunate victim is still tied to the rack the skeleton's jaw hangs open, as though screaming in agony. On closer inspection you notice a gold ring on one of the fingers of the skeleton.
( Of note- No one has actually entered any of the rooms yet just looked from the door.
Ennwyn senses magic beyond the chain in the first room, a vague sense of latent magic throughout the second room and magic emanating from the ring in the third room. )
Enwynn says very quietly "An enchantment lies beyond the chain in the first room. The second is infused with magic, but one that is still dormant. The third..."
The elf falls silent a moment, her expression less shocked than sorrowful as she realizes the dire purpose of the room's contents, and the likely fate of the ring's previous owner.
In a whisper, she concludes "...Has only one source of magic within it, the ring on the rack corpse's hand. An oddity in a prisoner, but perhaps they were hastily searched by their captors who were more eager to inflict pain than ask questions?"
Enwynn offers a practical suggestion "The implements in the third room might work to jam the doors open." even as her anger that such a place exists shadows her face.
(@Damian, you say none entered any room? did not Herman enter the second room to check where the tracks went? I mean the room with the weapons...anyway...)
Herman lowers his chin at the sight of the torture chamber
"what a terrible place...even if less evil beings has used torture, it is always a frightful sight... but that magical ring left there...why? maybe is cursed? or maybe it gives some inner effect that the torturers were not able to stand...shall we take it? I say yes.
Regarding the room with the armours, I did not notive anything, but if Enwyn is so sure, I trust her, let's double check.
Enwyn, do you want to use the implements to open the door where you passed through when you were in your druid shape?"
Tzedaka: "If you feel it is wise, perchap we block de doorway and look at de tortured soul?"
"That would be wise to hold the torture chamber's door open by hand to gather safely the tools to wedge it open, then we could do the same to the door of the weaponry room." Enwynn whispers, then adds "I do not know if the weapons in the second room are the angry ones that were spoken of. Would neglect make a weapon angry?"

Enwyn, do you want to use the implements to open the door where you passed through when you were in your druid shape?"
The elf answers Herman's queries rapidly in a low voice "I do not know the nature of the ring's enchantment, only that it is enchanted. If it was something their captors could not endure the touch of, then they could have cut off the finger it was on. Maybe they were interrupted before they could? Examining it more closely would at least give us a clue to who the victim was in life, so I also say yes."
"The second room had someone enter, go as far as the back wall and then exited by the same door, by the tracks in the dust. What were they looking for over there in a room full of broken weapons and armour, Herman? I don't know, but it's worth a quick check. Using the tools from the third room to wedge the gap wider is a good idea too."
Enwynn's face is a study in concentration as she explains her confusion in a rapid whisper "The first room's enchantment puzzles me, among other things. A small prison cell by the look of it, with a chain to hold a captive. A thick layer of debris, including many bones. Yet why leave a even chained prisoner access to a weapon fashioned from bones? Not a prison for tool-using captives then. Could be an enclosure for a guard beast though. One that Yannick's lot were too wary of to go near unchained."
Herman sighs and, despite he does not like the chamber, without further ado he step resolutely into the torture room, takes all the implements that could be necessary to make a lever on a door and eventually he takes out the magic ring: he moves everything to the corridor
IF NOTHING HAPPENS IN THE MEANWHILE
"there. these things can be useful, we will check the ring later, let's move on and let's hope to do it quietly"
He moves all the new acquired tools in front of the first door, he then looks at Garet and Tannin:
"I can use my strength when the time come, but now it is up to you, you already have those little dodgy tools: i guess in addition with this you can make some kind of lever or...something...the others can stay on the lookout if we are too noisy...
Garet snapped back into himself at Herman's question. He felt the darkness of this place it was almost palpable and he retreated within himself to try and get through, sticking to the shadows unheard, unseen it had what had got him through his time in the Thieves Guild.
But he was needed here needed for a purpose bigger than himself and he had to be on his game otherwise it would mean his death and the deaths of people he began to care for.
He grinned wryly at Herman "I'm sure I could put something together, not in Broccs league but I'm sure I could fashion something." Garet thought about the items and exactly what his Sun blade could do to cauterise the metal and attach a lever so that they could hold doors open in the future."
While they are standing there, Tzedaka notices Garet's mood turn to darkness.
She unconsciously reaches out and touches his arm with her tiny hand and smiles at him.
"I am chere for you."
(Heroism: A willing creature you touch is imbued with bravery. Until the spell ends, the creature is immune to being frightened and gains 5 temporary hit points)
She then pulls out a dragonfly that she and Enwynn had found earlier. She draws a crossbow bolt and touches it, igniting it in a bright light blue soothing light. (Light) You touch one object that is no larger than 10 feet in any dimension. Until the spell ends, the object sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. Duration 1 hour)
"So we can all see in dis dark place, Moter give us light." She hands it to Shalana.
Herman sighs and, despite he does not like the chamber, without further ado he step resolutely into the torture room, takes all the implements that could be necessary to make a lever on a door and eventually he takes out the magic ring: he moves everything to the corridor

As Herman gathers items in the torture chamber he occasionally feels like he is being watched and notes a number of strange small holes in the ceiling, but nothing disturbs his retrieval.

Shalana held the bolt quizzically for a few moments before slotting it into a recess in the top of her head.
Herman: "there. these things can be useful, we will check the ring later, let's move on and let's hope to do it quietly"
"Thank you, Herman." Enwynn says quietly, holding the door of the room open. She looks to Tannin and Garet and whispers "It's up to you two to put these tools to better use now." then keeps watch.
OOC: I recollect that Enwynn and Tzedaka managed to find some fungi as well in the cave entrance earlier. Tzedaka asked a while back about fungi and I forgot to mention it before now.
Tzedaka will pause in mid spell and re-open the 2nd door as Herman seems interested in the tracks. She wonders if Herman may see something that she did not. "Vhat do you see Cherman?"
There appears to be nothing of note on the wall, the trail of footprints just leads to there and back again in the thick dust.
"Someone came in, looked around then left maybe?" Ennwynn whispers, but unsure as to why or what they may have been seeking looks carefully at the wall section near the footprints for a less dusty patch on it.
"oh, fine, nevermind" says Herman, while going out of the second room
(anyone wanna do a detect magic in either room?)
Not seeing Zagor, Tzedaka sighs and uses her power to open the last door from 15 feet away. "Perhaps he is chere?"
OOC: Enwynn had one up and running before. If need be she can cast it again.
Third room-
As the door opens you see a derelict room that was once a torture chamber. “Dis place reeks of evil deeds” the rather disgusted angelic women sneers.
“Now vhat?”
Enwynn says very quietly "An enchantment lies beyond the chain in the first room. The second is infused with magic, but one that is still dormant. The third..."

(Yep, we got a hint from the skeleton that the barbarians like fungi)
