Coming toward the waterfront, weaving in and out of the crowd, an elf In leather armor and her cloak hood up and 2 shortswords in her hand. She does not say anything and starts swinging her sword at the sahaigin.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Thanks for joining us, Domino and Taraven!)
Standing near the southernmost palm tree, Barrion takes aim at the nearest sahaugin. "Glad to meet you, Tharn. Thanks for sticking around," he says without taking his eyes off his target and then, fires his bolt.
(I’d say you’re in the little pavilion, and the sahaugin are on the bottom patch of sand.)
The crossbow bolt flies into the sahaugin, causing blood to fly from its new chest wound. However, it quickly straightens back up and returns to being battle-ready.
Seeing the elf and half orc step forward out of the crowd of fleeing beach goers and draw weapons, Flick shouts, “Bravery on the beach! That sounds like an exciting tale! Good people, let us rally to victory over these mischievous and unsavory sea creatures!”
Reaching down to pick up a pinch of sand from his feet, Flick looks towards the advancing Sahaugin, speaks sings a quick melody and casts Sleep on the group.
Hit points affected by the spell: 18
Then, using his bonus action, he uses his Bardic Inspiration to try and aid the half orc. ”You are a strong one, I can tell! Let your fighting prowess guide you to victory, my valiant and powerful friend!”
(Thanks for the game; I'm new to this so apologies if I'm speaking out of turn. I'm going to wait to see which baddies are still awake after Flick's spell before I pick an action.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As three of the sahaugin collapsed into the sand, Tharn glances at Flick, his expression unchanging. He quickly moves onto the beach to flank the monster the elf is fighting and swings brutally at the beast's neck.
Attack: 7 Damage: 6
(OOC: I don't know if there are any optional flanking rules in play, so I'm just rolling normal attack. Should I edit the message (adding to the end) when I use the inspiration die, or should I post an additional reply in that case?)

(We’ll just use RAW flanking for now, but if it proves unbalanced, we’ll switch to some other system. For the inspiration, just do another post, as editing the post will cause a popup stating that the dice results are potentially manipulated. Also, OOC note: Tomorrow is game day for my “main” D&D group, and since I spent mornings finishing prep, afternoons playing, and evenings recovering from whatever craziness the party caused, I will most likely be on DDB, but I won’t be replying to anything, so don’t freak out if I don’t post.)

(Okay I think that means I’d have advantage in combat, so here is a roll. If I’m wrong, ignore it and take the 16 above.)
Advantage attack roll: 15

Barrion dons his shield and checks for any other sahaugin in sight or earshot. If there are any, he moves in that direction, within 60 ft of the nearest.
As a bonus action with two-weapon fighting, She will swing the short sword in her other hand
Attack: 1 Damage: 4
(Not sure if I did my bonus action right)
(OOC: I just noticed this. Taraven, the bonus, off-hand attack from two-weapon fighting does not add the ability modifier to the damage. So, your damage with a short sword from your bonus attack would be 1d6, not 1d6+3. FYI, on your character sheet, if you click on your 2nd shortsword and select the "Dual Wield" box in the customization options of the sidebar, it will appear on your list of bonus actions, rather than on your list of actions. Hope that helps.)
Seeing the melee quickly unfold, Flick says, ”Well, that went better than expected! I thank you for your aid, good folk! Tharn, is it? Tharn the heavy handed I’d say! And who might you be, my elven friend?”
”And what should we do with these slumbering Sahaguin? Tie them up or chop of their heads so that they match the other?”

As the elven figures takes off her cloak hood, you see a female elf with tan skin, blue eyes, and black hair pulled back in a braid. "I am Delaford. As far as these sleeping sahaugin...whatever ensures the safety of the these good people of Palma Flora." She says in a very calm and even tone as if running down the beach and swinging her shortswords were an everyday thing.

Okay, here’s the turn order:
You start at the bottom. There are other sahaugin around the island, but the four you’re facing are the only immediate threat.
Merlok Aqurous - Triton Storm Magic Sorcerer 3 - Ascent from Theros
DM - Heroes of Wildemount
Awesome. And welcome to the two new people!
How far away are the sahaugin from our group? I’m assuming that the four of us are all standing relatively close to each other.

Barrion stows his crossbow saying, "They'll be upon us sooner than I thought! Flick! Remember to stay close!"
(I’d say you’re in the little pavilion, and the sahaugin are on the bottom patch of sand.)

Shortsword attack: 12 Damage 9
As a bonus action with two-weapon fighting, She will swing the short sword in her other hand
Attack: 9 Damage: 8
